I will Imagine that is government work but parastatals............. I am not 100% sure. I always prefer to err on the side of caution. The letter head of your reference will it bear any logo, mark of the Nigerian Govt? If yes then it is government work.

Please seniors in the house, advise

If one worked for NCC (Nig communications commission) or CAC (Corporate affairs commission) for example, is that considered government or employment?

I believe they will be considered as government since they are government owned.

Please I need help with filling my UK PCC form and US FBI form

1.) For address in the UK, can I put my student address (school accommodation) even though I left there since 2012 or do I put a family friend's address?
2.) How do I pay for both forms? Do I get a money order for the FBI form?
3.) the uK form asks for attestion by someone who has known you for 2 years. Do I take it to Alagbon or use anyone that has the outlined job titles? Could I use a family friend for that or is it not allowed?

Thanks for your usual help.

1. Put ur current address I.e. Ur naija address if u live in Nigeria or anywhere you live at the moment. There's a place for addresses u lived whilst in UK, that's d one where u'd list all addresses whilst there. It is advisable to post to a U.K. Address for quick delivery.
2. Pay using your bank card, think GT naira debit works.
3. No need to take to Alagbon, just use a friend or family friend. They don't contact them anyway but make sure to put correct details

Ok thanks. I renewed my passport with my new surname and raised a CSE last week. The old one has less than six months to expire. I even filled the form u were told to fill and included a short note that only my surname changed.

Still awaiting their response. AOR June 12 awaiting medical passed.

In the schedule A form, they asked to give the number of years of school you successfully completed for each of the following levels of education namely elementary school, secondary/high school, university/college etc.

I attended a college from 2002 - 2004 and it was a 2yr programme but I dropped out and went to another college. Do I totally exclude this period from my total years of college education or do I count 2002-2003 as one year successfully completed and leave the remaining year out?

What i'm talking about is in section 7 of this form http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5669E.pdf

Can someone please help with my question above?

Good morning everyone. I just wanted to get some information clarifications as regards updating spousal record after e-APR has been submitted.

My Fiancé got ITA in January and submitted last month. However, we just did our court wedding last week. We want to inform CIC of this change in marital status so I would love to know what to expect.

· What do we say when completing the “Case Specific Enquiry Form”?
· Do I need to do a change of name (Newspaper publication, Affidavit etc?) and Will I have to change the name on my International passport?
· What information do I have to upload when completing the Case Specific Enquiry Form?

If anyone can be kind enough to assist in pointing me in the right direction, I will be very grateful.

CIC is giving those of us whose application has been transferred to London a long terrible wait, appears London visa office is very slow.
Below is my time line ;
AOR:February 21ST FSW-O Applicant
Medical passed : April 8th
Background check :NA April 26th till date (155 days post ITA)

Sent a mail to CIC last month was told my file was on queue awaiting review by an agent. Ordered GCMS notes this month, expecting to get it middle of next month.
Its a long wait,Pre ITA and post ITA but I pray this will end in praise to God for all...

Also pray all naija files go to Ghana or other places where they are quickly processed....AMEN!!

Hi - I would add the one year you completed at that school. So 1+X where X is the number of years you completed at the new school. smiley

I'll rather say it as it is, so when asked in my sleep, I can say the same thing. Also, just imagine they ask for another Schedule A (God forbid) and ask you what you did between 2002 and 2003...? It will be easy for you to say you were at the "old" school ...

This is my advise - others can chip in.

It is indeed a long wait, but don't worry about it. My IP2 to PPR was 14 days...when most Naija files move from IP2 to PPR in 4-7days.

Drink from the well of patience...the finish line is in view.

There is a credit card payment form that you have to send with your application. You will fill in the credit/debit card details on that form, and they will debit ur account when they are ready to process your application

For the FBI PCC, to make payment you enclose the payment form with your card details: card no, expiry date, ccv, card name etc. You mail this form with your fingerprints and application form to the appropriate FBI address. When your application is being processed, the stated sum will be deducted from your account. It is $18 for single applicants.

Wow! GOD be praised! Let the name of the Lord be praised! Halleluyah!..
I can't stop praising his name, he is an awesome GOD, there is no one like him!

Wonderful news this morning! PPRs everywhere, fast processing testimonies, it can only be GOD!

Congrats all new Canadians in the house.. white christmas loading.

@mummyjaygals, for your december trip, the trick is layers. Invest in cardigans, jeans, thermal wears, hooded jackets and you will do fine. If you have anyone going to the UK between now and October, get them to help you buy some thermal wears and jumpers from primark or asda. Personally, I prefer the turtle neck ones for female, becos I easily catch cold. I still keep some of the ones I used as a student in UK and use them whenever I travel to the USA. For thermal wears, pls and pls ensure the ones you get are thick, not thin. Fleece jackets can be easily gotten here at the 2nd hand market, so don't bother getting those from UK. Also panty hoses, thick ones from primark.. about 5 pounds but worth their weight in gold.lol..

https://direct.asda.com/george/womens/knitwear/womens-jumpers/D1M1G20C5S4,default,sc.html

If you are in Lagos, try Yaba, Mandilas in Balogun Market or where they sell 2nd winter clothes, look for grade 1 and select your choice. We can chat more off thread.

Congrats again, I am so happy for you. I know this will be me next year. grin cool

Thanks for the info. This is spot on.
Oh. Is there no affordable clothes shop like Primark and Asda in Canny land?
