Your correspondence letter should carry the exact reason for the delay.
Also i think applying with all your family members weakened your profile. They are supposed to serve as your major hometies, property documents are not as strong hometies as family.
Also, defer your admission and request for your gcms note. I'll advise that you should not apply with all your kids and husband in your next application because it is quite difficult and impractical to take care of three children while studying full time with no 'help'.
Also is your previous degree related to your proposed program of study?

likeababygirl,

Thank you so much for the repsonse.
if I have to reapply, can I do that alone and have my kids join me up later? How soon can i have them join me later.

Secondly, I applied for 2 programs at the school and i was admitted for both but 1 came earlier than the other ( the MA Economics is for 2 years while the MA Int'l Accounting is for a year). I applied to CIC with the MA Economics which arrived first . if I want to reapply, can I apply with the MA Int'l Accounting? . I have a Bsc in Economics and also a Chartered Accountant with over 10 years experience. My objective is to improve myself with a foreing masters program to support my vision of setting up a consulting firm in Nigeria.

i will appreciate a feedback as quickly as possible since the MA Int'l Accounting can be deferred to January session while the MA Economics will only jave another session next year Sept if I miss this year.

Thanks once again and thank you to all too.

if your aim is for your children to join you, then it means you want to stay there, since thats the case, do the ma economics. since its next year, start preparing for a way your children will join, you have time to plan, no rush. besides the course you chose seems to relate with your previous course, so its better. hope this helps

Yes your children can join you later. Let's say you get your visa, land and settle down in Canada. You can apply for your children to join you and a visit visa for your husband.

With over 10 years of being a chatered Accountant, the International accounting course seems like it is the best to use for your application. If it is possible defer both admissions.

After you get the visa, i think you should be able to change to the MA Economics program since it's for two years (just notify CIC). it is better to do a two year program, you stand a better chance at permanent residency and citizenship ( if that is a goal before setting up the consulting firm in Nigeria).

Before putting in another application please get your gcms note so you can know the exact reasons for denial. It takes about 30 days to be processed.

Dear Experts In the House,

I need your help. i just got a mail from the Canadian VIsa Centre stating that my Visa application was rejected. Reason was stated as : Ineligibility.

Details of my application are:

Paper route submitted at VFS lagos on the 3rd of May
Program: Masters of Arts in Economics, University of Windsor, Ontario.
40k Canadian dollars in personal account
Letter from Organisation where I work introducing me
Letter from Spouse's organisation where he works introducing him
Letter of SOP
Letter of sponsorship from Husband who is to remain in Nigeria during the course of study(2 years)
Property documents showing link to homeland
Copiess of academic credentials
copies of birth certificate and passport of 3 children who are to accompany me(aged 12-cool
TRV application for husband who is to accompany but return back to work immediately
No upfront medical
Admission letter from University
All other required documents.

What i need is to understand the meaning of "ineligibility". My plan is to defer the admission and reapply again almost immediately. i will however need to have a better insight on what i got wrong and how to avoid it this time.

Please i need your opinion as quickly as you can.
Thank you

Hello boss,

Others have spoken well.

So, let me come in from another angle.

Ineligibility has various factors from "not being a genuine student to course of study".

Speculating now, the VO might not be convinced with your choice of programme. The reason being that you are already a practising accountant and chartered even. I really am not sure of your current position/job role in your firm, but if I am to guess it might not be related to economics.

Secondly, I have no idea how much your fees are. But lets say your tuition is x amount, you need to show additional funds for you (10k), your 3 kids and accompany husband (16k minimum/4k each not sure of the amount stated on cic webpage). That brings total for upkeep to 26k. So you have 14k left as available amount for tuition. Like I said, I have no idea how much your tuition is but I am pretty sure the VO also saw the fund aspect.

In your response to @likeababygirl , you said something about having an offer for masters in International accounting. That, should work but you still have to convince the VO that you aint going there to settle. Why am I saying this? The VO will be of the opinion that if you are already chartered and working in a reputable firm, why would you want to spend such amount for a 1year masters programme?

But then, all the above are just speculations, order for your gcms notes to see the real reason.

As a side note, why not go for the Express Entry?

I wish you goodluck and God's favour.

It will end in praises.

Warm regards,

Mazi...

Good day everyone, pls has there been a testimony of anyone that got visa with her children. I have 4 boys and heading for a phd that might take 4/5years. I have every genuine intention to return home in the long run but the truth remains I cannot concentrate if I am alone without my kids. I would worry endlessly. So better option is for husband to remain home in Nigeria as he has no desire to settle abroad and probably come visiting. If this is of any help I am a civil servant and will be on study leave.
So the question is; has there been any such approval? If yes pls what is the link so we can all learn cos most mothers I believe are in this dilemma.
Pls don't ask me to read from thread 1-10 as I have tried doing that but it ain't just easy. Cheers

Hello boss,

You can read from 11 since you dont want to read 1-10. grin grin grin

But on a serious note, they can join you.

However, it will be best you apply alone first then you can apply for them as soon as school resumes especially with the way things are going now with trv. Also, if you arrive first, that gives you opportunity to settle down, shine your eyes for schools that best fits them and your budget. It is a win-win for you all.

However, if you do decide to apply with all four kids, you gats ready to show plenty proof of plenty funds because you might be funded by your school but you need to make arrangements for your kids too.

I cant pretend to know how it feels when separated from your kids for a long time. But a few months is a sacrifice to achieve the family's success....

It is my opinion though...

Goodluck and Godspeed...

@Atouba, I am in no way a guru on this stuff, do get the gcms notes as advised. But from my simple perspective I think it might be better for you to forego husbands application for now. He can come on visit later. If the children are below 12yrs make provision for caregiver as children below 12yrs are never to be left alone according to Canadian law. Did you apply for study permit for them? If no try getting admission for them from the district you intend to settle in and apply for their study permits. Get the school district info through google. Get required amount for each individual as requested and write a good SOP.
From my simple view a longer course justifies more the need to take kids however consider academic progression and weigh your options.
Make google your friend as all I have told you I gathered online. Prepare well before applying ' don't be on a haste. Calm down weigh all options; gather as much information as you can and above all find out the mind of God.
Relax; i know no mum ever wants to consider leaving underage children; mine have been on three weeks vacation and I have so worried that I have some extra grey hair to show for it.
Remember it will end in praise.
Cheers.

@ mazi; don't know you but you are an amazing young man. I have I strong feeling I will get to know you better some day as I hope to come to Uottawa God willing.
It is just tidier to come alone first and send for them later but then you wonder: what if they are not granted visiting visa will I stay 5yrs as in my case without my children? by the time I come back they would be men on their own terms....
Well at the end of the day one prays for God's guidiance and His will to be done.

Hello everyone,

I want to apologize for derailing.

I would like to encourage all TRV hopefuls not to give up and keep trusting God because he is working out the best for us.

I remembered when @Freeradical (tuale sir wink) was trying to get a supervisor and co (I'm sure he must have felt very disappointed for not getting a supervisor/admission). He later got an ITA while trying and now has his PPR (officially a permanent resident of Canada). His story changed within 4 months.

https://www.nairaland.com/3649314/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/124#55538109

I have seen some applications on this thread that were not perfect but were approved while some 'perfect' applications were denied. Also, some people applied for study visa in June, got approved in July while some applied in March and still waiting for approval (Life you will say sad) But please always remember that GOD HAS A REASON FOR EVERYTHING AND HE IS WORKING OUT THE BEST FOR US.

Benard Marr said "There is no clear and definitive path to success for anyone. The most successful people in any endeavor will tell you many stories of failure within their life journeys. Many (if not all) have experienced major failures, multiple times. But they never gave up".

If you are qualified for EE and you intend staying after studying, please join the EE train.

I pray for positive approval for all TRV hopefuls on this thread before the end of this month.

.....The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong.....

Amen to that, nice one bro

Yea, I understand boss. In fact it is okay to wonder what happens, if they dont get visas at a later date. However, remember that there are many ways to kill a rat (Apologies to animal right activist, no harm intended).

A friend asked me this question and I feel like throwing it into this forum for analytical advice.
He wants to apply for student visa, his tuition fees and his living expenses has been deposited into a domiciliary account in his name. The question now is that HIS SALARY ACCOUNT BALANCE HIS SLIM AND NOT SMILING.
Is it compulsory that he include this salary account statement with his application?.

Well, proofing income source goes a long way in application approval. While his salary account might be slim, he may need to prove his source of income some way or the other. Like showing his savings certificates, gift deeds, and business registration, bonds and etc. Proving he gets income now shows the VO he can sustain him self on the long run and not be a burden in the Canada. I feel anyone can just source funds to apply for a visa and return it afterwards. That is why VO request for past employement letters, and tag it misrepresentation. If he has been working in other place, contract or permanent, an offer letter and pay slip of the past goes a long way proving he has been making money. All in all, he has to prove to the VO his source of income even if he has huge sum and very low salary. That will even raise eye brows to the VO I think.

My 2percent though.

He intends to visit often but not to settle. You know when you are younger, you have all your options open. For instance you can work odd jobs etc for a start. You have less responsibilities but as one grows your responsibility to yourself , your family, community, church etc increases, so yes odd as it may seem he has no intention to resart his life in his 40s.
But on a very light note, I didn't get the USA joke. Abeg some of us don dey approach middle age and can't quite catch some of this stuff. So my dear be gracious and explain to me wink

Well, the guy graduated with 2:2 in Agriculture. He cannot do direct Masters with 2:2. He then opts for an Advanced Diploma in Agricultural related course which is higher than the BSC but lower than Masters. He works in the airport and he has a good travel history to UK, USA and a tourist visit to Canada in the past and he has not violated any condition of the previous visa.
How can he sell this: from Agric undergraduate to Aviation work and now want to go back to Agriculture.

But you and I know that this "guy" you're referring to is yourself. Because you have asked this question before, and just last night when you said that you work at the airport, I stalked you small (lol grin) and saw the same question in your previous posts.

Meanwhile I thought they (the gurus) have answered you, and advised you to apply and study a course similar to your current job.

I don't get why you're hiding under the guise of "a friend" to ask the same question. It's not a thing to hide. Not like you're asking a question that is bad or illegal.
Anyway cheers.
