It depends, I know someone people that got approval or denial when they asked to withdraw. IF your review of eligibility had already started, they might process it if everything is ok and issue your visa. In some cases they return your passport and tell you to reapply whenever you are ready.

It means your passport is ready for collection. You have to visit VFS for collection to know if it was approved or not.

Did you apply Paper Route or online? You said June 9th right?

Processing time is now 99 days...smh. There is no actual number of days, the times shown are estimates/averages. Some ppl hv been lucky n got their response in 2 months or even less, some others spend 5 months or more waiting.. I think that they must hv a huge number of applications abouy this time cos they were much faster earlier in the year.

I applied for a Canadian visit visa on 6th June 2017 via VFS global Lekki Lagos.

I attached the visa application form,invitation letter from my uncle who stated it clearly he is sponsoring the trip.

I also had a reference letter from my company attached(multinational)

Also my uncle gave me his bank statement with account balance of about 50k Canadian dollars.

To cut the long story short,i got a mail on 5th of Sep 2017 informing me my passport is ready for pick up at the visa office in Lekki.

I was shocked to discover i was denied the visa,the major challenge i have now is this:

The Canadian high commissioner returned the documents submitted but most of the crucial documents were not returned such as: invitation letter,the application form itself,my company's referral letter. They only returned my passport,bank statement,the checklist.

I would want our experienced people here to kindly educate me on this.

I suspect these documents were not submitted to the Canadian embassy by VSF in the first place,may be someone there played a fast one on me.

I need your responses please.

So sorry you were denied. That's the very annoying aspect abt this long wait, still no certainty of a positive reaponse.
About your documents, no one played games on you. Every embassy keeps those letters back because they have been addressed to them specifically so it's like their property basically.

...Sorry about that .... Nothing like appealing but to reapply... People with Yankee visas get denied as well... these guys are hard to read... U can reapply few months down the line and plead ur case about the initial refusal in a sound letter...

It depends on the purpose of your visit. You have not stated your purpose of visit here. Because of your age, it will take a very strong and convincing travel reason for you to get a visit visa. The VO also looks at your Proof of funds.

This is one bad thing about Canada Embassy, they are just denying visas for no good reasons, I did one application online for someone since june 16th and im yet to get d reply, meanwhile i am ready to appeal if they deny the application because the only reason they will state is same as yours, the person has been to UK, has about N3M salary account statement, going for vacation and UK visa is still​ valid. I base in Canada so i have already contacted an immigration lawyer here incase d visa is denied for those useless reason that they always give and he said they can appeal against that decision. we are waiting for them.

There something like appeal or there is appeal, i have discussed this issue with a well known immigration lawyer in Toronto and he said they can appeal against their decision.
