Hello Nairalanders, i have been thinking of this seriously and feel like sharing it here to get better answers. the question is; if you kill a person who has been killing others is it a sin onto God? put differently, if you kill a terrorist is it a sin?
I remember arguing this with my friends and also asking this question in church Bible studies but could not get convinced/perfect answers. so please everyone help and clear the air.

Rather than kill a terroist, why not lead the terroist to repentance and salvation? God does not delight in bloodshed...but he judges the unrepentant wicked.

For me; it is a sin... Cause it was written "Thou shall not kill".

I am indirectly saying what you said....

Thou shall not kill, means Thou shall Kill. No conditions. It's either you join the enemy disobey God and kill or you obey God and leave vengeance for Him

This is what it's all about. Satan is Moving his people to kills us in such a manner that will also stirs up to kill them in return, hence; disobey our God who says "Thou Shall not Kill". [b]Satan's motive is to make Christians disobey their God.

Do you think you can take vengeance better than Jehobah Saboth? lol. You can't. So pls obey Him and leave vengeance to Him, He will repay. Dont even wish anyone death, leave them.
Death to a Christians is just a higher transition. We just kind of change lanes. Everyone who is on a journey hopes to return home safely right? When we die, we simple go home.

It's not easy to lead a man on a mission to another destination you know?

Take for instance, in the middle East, even here in Northern Nigeria, Muslims will Surround Christians, bring one out and demand that he recants his faith, they usually choose death, they get killed before others. They take turns killing them one after the other, yet the living insists on remaining Christians why?

A man on a mission can not easily be distracted.

Terrorists are on a mission, so you can't persuade them to change and receive Christ. The ones who repents encounters Christ personally, not through evangelism.

Lol. God knows that at all times ungodliness and ungodly people will want to overwhelm others. He was the one who instructed Moses to form an Army, to protect his people against the invasion of tje enemy.

Case in Point, Lot, Abraham's Nephew and all his family in Sodom were taken as prisoners of War, Abraham had an Army of 300 men under him, he went after the Kings who invaded Sodom and rescued his Nephew and took back what was lost.

Now, this is what the Holy Spirit who understands these matters more says.

For the sake of the Lord submit yourselves to every human authority: to the Emperor, who is the supreme authority, and to the governors, who have been appointed by him (God)to punish the evildoers and to praise those who do good.

God put men in authority put keep peace and to punish evil doers.

There's nothing wrong with any Christian being in the Army. But, there must not be any personal vendetta against anyone.

Lets take the story of saul in the bible.in first corithian.he was a terorist.he terorise the christian,he kills and jail them.its was not in the hands of the christian to fight back,nor plan to kill him,they left him for jesus himself.
Saul was encounter by jesus himself on his way to damascu.he join the christain faith,and later change his name to paul.just read that story.you will get the right answer to your question
