Onyekuru has 4 goals for Anderlecht
Bonaventure has 7 goals for club brugge..

Impressive campaign for both duo in the Belgian League

Any insult directed at me regarding this issue henceforth will be roundly ignored.

I think the reason why most of the regulars here refrain from calling people out when they are having a go at each other is because most times the one trying to quell the dispute becomes caught in the crossfire and the situation becomes even more strained. Experience has taught them it's better to let the situation kill itself.

Secondly it's not a manly thing calling people who are adults to order almost every time. Common sense and human decency dictates that as adults we comport ourselves well.

All in all the thread is a good one notwithstanding that occasionally it gets slimy.

Like seriously

This all argument started when I was making some things clear about rashford's rise to prominence in comparison to Tammy, how it escalated to the level of bringing Nacho into the mix, I can't fathom.

I tried as much as possible to be civil during the discussions we had, so he himself had to reason to be abusive towards me.

It got to a point where he started calling all United fans dollopheads/epl fanboys, I chose not to say anything about it because it meant nothing to me and it would continue to remain like that until I allow it bother me.

You bringing his mum up was low man, he attacked you, not your mum. That act alone sells you off as immature and doesn't speak well of you at all.

Football is one of the things, if not the only thing that brings us together as one, it shouldn't be a vice that further engenders animosity between us.

Pls forget goal first and talk of playing time,Musa not making d squad,Success always on d bench,Nacho still find it hard to fit in,may be Ndidi w give us goal but do we need goal from Ndidi?or probably Iwobi which is unusual, those we need goals from are not making d XI.

Musa and Success should seek for challenges elsewhere in January.. I'd say a move from England would help.. Majority of English teams have the same long ball style of play which I'm afraid doesn't suit them.

As for Nacho, his time will come am sure..he has the potentials..

Iwobi should make judicious use of the opportunity he is getting now cus Baba Ijebu might send him back to the bench if he drips form...

I know we all love football though our allegiance and levels of passion may differ. Through the love of the game I trust many here have made meaningful connections and formed friendship with people who otherwise they might not have befriended. I read an article on completesports today where the writer detailed the surprising warmth and generosity Cameroonians showed him despite our footballing rivalry. I thoroughly enjoyed the article. Here too sometimes we go low but (not justifying it) we love the game and I appreciate everyone for their contributions.

Super eagles is the only real connection I have with football these days. And you all are contributing one way or the other in holding my otherwise chilling heart close to the fire.

Yes they are all Nigerians but question of allegiance hangs on players with dual nationalities. Some of them don't even feel Nigerian. Of course any player who is good enough for the SE whether home or foreign born should have the opportunity to play for Nigeria. What gets me peeved is the wahala of trying to convince the foreign born players (especially those who are unwilling)

Anyone who don't feel Nigerian after been approached should be left alone. grin

What do you know about the current NPFL? I am not talking stories, I am talking reality. You are using old NPL to judge the NPFL while using the current set up of other countries league as a yardstick.

I ask, which of the leagues are you aware of? The NPL or the NPFL?

Watching Nigerian league pains the eyes. No long storri. grin

Ability wise, Success is brilliant on the ball and also a good finisher. Watch his goal in the U20 World Cup where he made a fake short before the finish.

Against Manchester United last season, he came in for few minutes and I think completed the most dribbles on the field. He has the quality but he needs to get himself in the right atmosphere to excel.

Sincerely I hardly go on with the same arguments after 24 hours. I've missed pages because as I was on my way further north. Anyways I would be sincere to say even if I have read the insults back and forth I wouldn't have uttered a word because I won't want to be drawn in the middle. I've had my own share of fights here and it didn't matter if people took my sides or not. We can always move on. But one thing sir I want you to bear in mind, like I've always said, this is just nairaland. I know many of us may hold it so dearly. But the reality is there is no way we can control what people say on the internet. Let's not allow stuffs get to us to that extent if getting so hurt and leaving the thread.

I'm sure you have more important things to do and you enjoy this thread as well while passing time here. Others too. So let's take this thread for what it really is. It's secondary. Don't let secondary things get u hurt.

TheSuperNerd:
This thread is a big joke now honestly.... A thread where idiots are allowed to get away with Insulting someone's mother? A thread where any one can just walk in and attack anyone and when the one being attacked shows how good he is with word jabs, they all take to supporting the one who attacked first.

Like seriously.... I now question the kind of people we have in here. People who will see Rubbish and keep quiet about it but when I begin lashing the negatives and being tough about it... They begin to talk to me.... how classic. It has been nice being on this thread... but I don't roll with hypocrites... I am not here for anyone... I am here for Nigerian Football and its return to Glory days. Time for a move on... Too much familiarity breeds contempt.

But when my mother is brought in and insulted and no one stands up to speak vehemently against that... then it is time to say goodbye. I am progressing well and flying high in my Hopkins research scholarships and other studies partly because of her. You don't insult someone's mother of goodwill and think your life will be okay. Can't believe how people reason on here...

P.S: I named this thread. The elders and people who were here from the beginning know that and they understand my passion buy maybe even they have forgotten. Goodbye and plss don't bother quoting....it is the last you see of me. wink

Sir, in fact I was compiling my own list of top 5 defenders that are available for Nigeria. Believe me I tried to formulate a way of rating these players and I realized the likes of Ehizibue of Zwolle FC, and Kenny Otigba are underrated. Both defenders have clocked lots of minutes professionally and have given good account of themselves, but have hardly had ENOUGH mentions on this thread or elsewhere.

Well let me digress. I've come up with an idea to respond and to engage as regards our arguments starting with the much talked about Tammy Abraham's case that trended yesterday. Many of us will get to see the voice and face behind my moniker. Just a way to make this more fun. And who knows it? We could make our beloved thread even more popular. I will be quoting monikers from on here, and I would even go on to address the likes of Pinnick and Onigbinde.. I will not stop there.. those English fans are about to hear weeeeen.. And you peepo that like EPL clubs pass your mama.. I dey come for una oh..

But first I'm asking for all of your blessings.. grin

TheGoodJoe Kog45 TheSuperNerd supernerd247 (haha) the two madam gidgbams in the house of course. tbaba1234 .. in fact i can keep naming please remember to apply forgiveness if I didn't mention you oh.

In fact I know it will be somehow if I don't attempt to name more monikers. So let me just try because anything I do, I want to do4luv14
I can tell you for sure , it's not going to be yet another just a blog like chrisooblog
All of a sudden today we witnessed new monikers. I'm even beginning to believe they are Zambians (OCT 7th is your date of banishment and for garnishment).. monikers we've never seen before talking about rashy rashford. They had the guts to put beloved Kelechi in their lips.. and some of us who have been loyal in this thread joined them.
lol.. Michael1! Michael2 Michael3! How many times I call you? Do like Angel Michael na

Sir ChrisKels I hail oh.. Anytime I see that moniker, I remember Kels.. that legendary musician when get some kind bad habits.. But I am loyal oh

soetanoreoluwa the pastor, oya pray for us.
komekn the scout above all scouts. Where art thou! The man when sabi the nook and cranny of England. he sabi all the kurukere.. even all our U10 players for England he know them reach their middle names.. I greet you oh!

Okay I have finish. No vex if i no mention your moniker.

Actually, I've been drinking

*cough* Ehizube and Otigba were mentioned here severally.

Since, Otigba went to Hungary, my hand fall.
