Tsetse Fly

Who would have ever thought that a tiny
fly could hurt you or even cause death? Well, the tsetse fly is one you definitely want to watch out for. These annoying bugs are found in Africa, and if they bite you, it can cause sleeping sickness (aka African trypanosomiasis).

Symptoms include high fever, fatigue, muscle aches, and headache. Over time, the central nervous system is affected, which causes psychiatric and sleep disorders, seizures, and coma . If not treated, the disease can also cause death.
No vaccine or medicine can prevent African trypanosomiasis.

The best course of action is to prevent the flies from biting by avoiding brightly colored clothing. Wear neutral colors that cover exposed skin. You should also use sleep in an air-conditioned or screened room and use insect repellent
Got bitten by lots of this in Oli camp.... M still breathing doh... wink

U can also add the granular frog, Tasmanian devil, and the porcupine..... U don't want it shooting em arrows at you. grin

Koalas

Everyone knows how adorable these animals are. However, contrary to popular belief, koalas are not bears. They are marsupials, which means that the young grow in the pouch of their mother until the offspring are large enough to be self-sufficient.

Koalas are indigenous to Australia, where they live in the eucalyptus forests and survive primarily on eucalyptus leaves. Their diet does not provide them with much energy, so they sleep a lot.

This behavior makes them appear nonthreatening. However, a full-grown koala weighs 9–14 kilograms (20–30 lb) and has long, sharp claws as well as sharp teeth and strong jaws. They have been known to move quickly and attack people or dogs if they feel cornered or threatened

Nature too is very funny.
Sharp long claws and teeth, strong jaws only to be eating leaves and shiit...

It's a cutie, I'd have made the mistake of carrying one close to my chest if not for this news. God forbid this cutie digs it's claws or teeth in your skin. undecided

Geographic Cone Snail

The beautiful, intricately patterned, brown-and-white shells of the geographic cone snail make them highly prized by shell collectors, but this is one snail you do not want to touch. The geographic cone is also known as Anbonia because it was discovered in the Indonesian Gulf of Anbonia.

The creature is native to the reefs of the Indo-Pacific. It grows 15 centimeters (6 in) long and has incredibly toxic venom that can cause
paralysis instantly. Otherwise, its prey—small fish—would swim off to die and leave the slow-moving snail with nothing to eat.

Several humans have also died from the venom, which is a complex mixture of many toxins. In fact, of the 500 known species of cone snails, the geographic cone snail is considered to be the most venomous.

This creature delivers its venom through a harpoon-shaped tooth which is pushed out from its extendable proboscis. With no antivenin for the sting of the geographic cone, the only treatment is to keep the victim alive until the toxins lose their effectiveness.

Let it come to Nigeria, it's venom will loose it's potency. Here, we eat both the venom and the snail, nothing will happen. We've dealt with worse o'er here... undecided

THE LION OF UBIMA
RT.HON CHIBUIKE ROTIMI AMAECHI.

He is a politician extraordinaire, a man who fears no foe or discard friends.
He is a believer in due process and the rule of law and most importantly the supremacy of the Legal system as the hope for the common man.

Though he looks calm, Rotimi Amaechi won't hesitate to give it to you hot when you ask for it.
President Jonathan learnt this the hard way when he tried intimidating him using the Federal might.
This costly mistake of GEJ cost him his reelection in 2015 and brought in the dullard Buhari.

Buhari didn't hesitate to bring the Lion onboard to give his administration the strength and defence it so badly needed.
Keep saying rubbish. Remember your viral comment about celebrity marriage on twitter, soon you would be traced and dealt with in your abode by some unseen forces

Kayan Loris

The Kayan loris (aka slow loris) is a
nocturnal primate that is closely related to the lemur. Kayan lorises are extremely adorable. They have big, baby-like eyes and beautiful soft fur that just begs to be petted, but one touch could be your last.
As Kayan lorises are nocturnal, they were not studied closely until recently.

They are the only known venomous primates and have very toxic bites. Their venom will cause anaphylactic shock and kill if left untreated.

They live in the central-east highland area of Borneo and are named for the Kayan, a major river there. They are also an endangered species. The discovery of this new species suggests that more are yet to be found in the Borneo jungles and on the surrounding islands.

Pufferfish

The adorable face and colorful scales of the pufferfish make them endearing to look at. They can fill their bodies with air and blow up to appear larger to ward off predators.

Even though they are not deadly to the touch, they are very poisonous if eaten.
Most pufferfish contain a harmful substance that causes them to taste bad and can kill other fish. For humans, it’s even worse. The poison in one pufferfish can kill 30 human adults, and there is no known antidote .

In Japan, pufferfish are an expensive delicacy known as fugu, which must be prepared by licensed fugu chefs. Even still, there are a few human deaths every year

Plus all it's defenses, tasting bad and poisonous when eaten, man still found a way to consume it.

Fish don finish for the world

Cape Buffalo

The Cape buffalo is extremely territorial and holds a grudge if you hurt it or one of its family members. These creatures live in Africa and have killed more hunters there than any other animal. With their superior memories, Cape buffalo have ambushed hunters who injured them as long as years later.

Studies by Dr. John Conde show that the strength of a Cape buffalo equals four times that of an ox. So the buffalo has the ability to turn a car on its side and kill lions. These nasty buffalo have even killed lion cubs in retaliation for an attack by an adult lion. This is one animal that you do not want to mess with

So also is piranha fish.A piranha or piraña is a member of family Characidae in order Characiformes, freshwater fish that inhabits South American rivers, floodplains, lakes and reservoirs. Although often described as extremely predatory and mainly feeding on fish, their dietary habits vary extensively and they will also take plant material, leading to their classification as omnivorous. In Venezuela, they are called caribes. They are known for their sharp teeth and powerful jaws.

Piranhas have one of the strongest bites found in bony fishes. Relative to body mass, the black piranha (Serrasalmus rhombeus) produces one of the most forceful bites measured in vertebrates. This extremely powerful bite is generated by large jaw muscles (adductor mandibulae) that are attached closely to the tip of the jaw, conferring the piranha with a mechanical advantage that favors force production over bite speed. Strong jaws combined with finely serrated teeth make them adept at tearing flesh.

When American President Theodore Roosevelt visited Brazil in 1913, he went on a hunting expedition through the Amazon Rainforest. While standing on the bank of the Amazon River, he witnessed a spectacle created by local fishermen. After blocking off part of the river and starving the piranhas for several days, they pushed a cow into the water, where it was quickly torn apart and skeletonized by a school of hungry piranhas.
