CBT hall is in faculty of tech, u will just enter a bus going to CBT,tech for just #30 ,they will drop you there..

For those that cannot pay for guest house, If you are a Muslim, you can squat in the mosque at Ui or The polytechnic Ibadan(it is close and also shares gate with Ui at its North campus) or as a Christian you can stay at various Chapel within the campus provided you show a proof like letters or id cards or certificates. They usually understand so feel free to go there.
For the richer ones, you can Lodge in at any guest house or hotel, close to UI. Ui also has hotel . You can contact me on 07039607106 if you want me to help you reserve a room. But if you can do on your own, better.
