Engnrcollins:
All these people talking about investing on real estate and cryptocurrency. Please let's look towards our economy.. Many sectors are being monopolized by greedy men and thus causing a big problem to us. Why can't we look towards something promising (a project) that can help lift our country from this state of quagmire.

We have many educated men and women who are unemployed but with the right set of skills that can help boost our economy and employment rate as a whole.

Putting our economy into the right Form should be our motive from there every other thing can follow. We just need to start somewhere.

If you ask me I'll say let's look towards establishing an industry which is capable manufacturing exportable goods, that way we can be able to atleast minimize the rate in which some certain things are being imported into this country thereby making our currency to gain value and also employ our jobless youths.

Great talk, Engr Collins.
I also thought in that direction too, possibly buying one of the mismanaged government companies and then run them indegenously thereby creating jobs for more people.
Setting up a fabric or plastic factory wouldn't be a bad idea too

I would also suggest 10,000 from 100,000 people.. The lesser the better... It would be easier to manage and we have hundreds of thousands less pessimist.

tuege:
We are concerned about our financial future when we look at the current situation facing young and growing businesses not being able to get capital to raise funds for their ideas.
I have thought about building industries that can benefit people on a wider range but how can this be done when the banks will not listen to you. For example, a country like ours can build 100's of refineries in 6 months and manage it effectively but no, you will hear all kinds of reasons for not being able to repair the already existing one let alone build a new one.
So I have decided to discuss this with young people who can take the bull by the horn to do the impossible.
If we can find 1million persons who can invest a token of N1000 each, we can raise N1billion.
We can decide to invest it in building a refinery or a tertiary institution or buy a crude oil tanker or aircrafts or build real estates and so on.
If you think this idea makes some sensible meaning, we can discuss it here and see what we can make of this thread.
Please post your constructive thoughts and no abuses.
Let us hear available businesses and it's workability.
Remember that raising N1billion is very very possible from 1million persons.
Let's hear you now. Thank you.

Okay, well suggested.
For starters, how do we pull this small number of people together? The game is starting soon.

I'm in support of this idea.

The fewer the membership, the smooter the coordination.

However, transparency and distinctive legal framework devoid of ambiguity is the way forward.

The legal framework defines modus operandi.

It is possible.

Yes I believe this is possible, with proper legal frame work in place and commitment from the parties involved.

I think you need to do a brand campaign around this idea, 100,000 ppl investing N1000 makes sense. Create a website, integrate paystack or flutterwave, alllow people to invest via bitcoin, etherum, cash etc

Allow them buy shares, structure it like a fund, so that they are buying into a fund, structure it and get board of directors, reputable people.its called the power of crowdfunding.

I have heard of church members who fleeced their members to invest in schemes and scams like tbc and onecoin. Making billions, you know its easier to do this idea if you propose it to a church or like a cooperative society.

Add me on whatsapp lets strategise on this,i have some creative ways we can do this: 09o93814208

lol, this o.p is joking.
first of all 1B will neva build a university, a refinery or Atlantic city. not even 5 billion.
2. should you manage to build a glorified secondary sch or an estate. u might not hit profit within short period. a university might not even hit it break point for as much as 20years, where you will jst kip on pumping more funds.
1million people will never have d patient to kip investing or wait for 30yrs before hitting profit. nigetians are not patient. even thou dey invested 1k only..dey will b claiming ownership to d business.
3. corruption. if d o.p is not a crook, his subordinates will b. this 9ja. for 1million people you will have 1000 managers and at least 500 people will b working in relation to d project. it is not possible for half of the to b truthful.
4. our govt. will not allow u. licenses and permits will jst weaken u
5 business no b for mouth. you must have d technical know how. I will not invest 1k with a nairalander o.p who I feel lack d skills and cannot deliver under presure. Buhari don teach me sense.. I doubt if d o.p has handled or overseen an organisation of over 500persons before. dnt tell me u re st bathlomews schools headboy before biko. I haven't either and I am not discouraging pls. I am jst been truthful. but if u manage to do it..thor

the problem with 9ja is not even its citizens...but d govt. dia policies and it's made men.
how on earth will dangote not be organising entrepreneurship competition. in sane countries u must b contributing to its citizens development. big thumps up to tony elumelu.

This is a very laudable idea... Though I have my doubts, which does not in any way affect the viability of the OP's idea of raising 1 billion from a million people.

I would suggest we increase the amount to 5k capital from 1million people and invest in our power sector.

Let's not have the mindset of profit alone, but let's put our collective welfare and legacy into perspective. I will gladly contribute 10k to and idea that will have a positive impact on the lives of the masses, without even asking for a dime in return, as long as the money will be used for what it was intended.

I see power sector as one of the best, though it's capital intensive, but it will have impact and it is something no one in this country can do without: in terms of continuity, the answer is Yes! In terms of profit, the answer is Yes!

Thank you.

@Op am soo much interested in this idea. will make more sense if we can reduce the number to 50,000 people , 20k per head x 50,000=1b or 50k per head x 20,000 = 1b , 100k perhead x 10,000= 1b. the lesser in number the better, serious individuals will be interested. invest it in Real estate, 5star hotel, hospital, industries, factories, etc . We can actualize it if mind like individuals reason together,
(Been nursing this your idea for over a long time)
I am willing and ready to invest my token.

This idiot came to the telegram group and suggested that 10 people should contribute N1000 each to buy video guide on mini import from one Pat Ogidi. The admin asked him to drop the discussion and he started abusing people of not being serious. We are talking of N1billion business and one small boy is talking about mini importation. He kept talking and talking until he was removed and he's here to discredit the OP. People are suggesting setting up a tomato paste, food processing, Bitcoin or fabric factory and he is talking nonsense here, abeg gerara here jor.
OP I dey Interested for Bitcoin category.

Op, the discussion on telegram needs to reflect on the topic. It no longer 1million Persons required, it has been narrowed down to 100,000 persons to invest N10,000 each and has 3 different categories.
So for people who are doubting how this will work, I think it's better you join the group to under the business plans they have. We really need to support this kind of courage and insight from great minds. My own piece of info.

You are the one who is an idiot, we all know how quick nigerians are to rush into opportunities like this,i came up with the mini importation idea, and i suggested that its a great opportunity to purchase a guide and course on learning the business, i suggested we buy it,nobody responded omo i was like so a gathering of ppl willing to invest 20k cannot even respond to contributing 1k each, they want to raise one billion.

Broke as niggas cannot spend one k on a simple ifea want to contribute billions, the op and you are not serious
