The list is not Complete without Celestine Babayaro and Daniel Amokachi
Re: 10 Footballers Whose Greed And Lifestyle Ruined Their Career by Ezi39: 7:16am On Oct 23, 2017
Celestine Babayaro, the first Super Eagles player to buy hummer jeep, also deserves mention here. Here's a young man that had a very bright future, and was cut short of that because of his spending sprees.
At a time, he's at the precipice of bankruptcy and have to sell most of his 'fine boy' luxuries to cope.

Remove Anelka from that list asap
Nicolas Anelka was a great achiever

Every goal keeper fears his shots

He gave Drogba a huge no of assists

He also achieved a lot at Real Madrid
Chelsea
Arsenal
And Bolton

Even did well in his country

He also won many trophies

Story is on achievers who blew it! Anleka is a renowned introvert, I doubt if he lost it all.

Rodwell's life isn't ruined and he's still very much playing...so he doesn't deserve to be on your list
phayvoursky:
#6 JACK RODWELL

Jack Rodwell could have been Everton’s great hometown hero but things didn’t quite turn out that way. A diehard Evertonian since childhood, he seemed to be living every kid’s fantasy of playing for his local club when he was lured away by Manchester City’s glittering oil money in 2012. While it may be argued that his career was as hampered by an injudicious move as it was a long spate of injuries, it cannot be denied that he made the big move too soon.

Signed by City to primarily meet their quota of homegrown players, Rodwell played just 16 games for the Citizens before moving further north to Sunderland for £10 million. Surprisingly, Sunderland have never won a game when Rodwell has started, a record that goes back 36 games, two short of an entire season!

However, the 25-year-old has sufficient time to bloom into a better player. After all, Gareth Bale hadn’t won his first 22 games with Spurs and how he’s winning Champions League trophies with Real Madrid.

Really?....Anelka on that list too? The op is delusional

#10 NICOLAS ANELKA

Nicolas Anelka seemed like he was on the way to greatness when he scored 17 goals in 35 appearances for Arsenal during the 1998-99 season. Acquired from Paris Saint-Germain the year before, the Frenchman became one of the most sought-after young talents in Europe when he was just 20-years-old. He attracted the interest of Real Madrid who offered a whopping £22.3 million to the Gunners for the striker.

Arsene Wenger made the smart business move and sold Anelka who was already getting too big for his boots. Under the advice of his brother Claude Anelka, the 20-year-old made excessive wage demands at Arsenal before being shipped off. At Madrid, the striker flopped miserably and shunted back and forth between European clubs before reinventing himself late in his career at Chelsea.

Cars mean nothing, they're depreciating assets. The point is that money is not coming into Adebayor's pocket as it use to, and he's spending as much as before, what do you think will happen in the long run?

Are you his Account officer?

That list is complete without Diego Maradona, Anderson Souza of Man U, Adrian Mutu and Cassano. Read up about these players. Please remove Nicolas Anelka abeg. That guy won Champions League, highest goal scorer in EPL and league titles.

Sapiosexuality:
Adriano was something else. That left foot was just too powerful. We are yet to get a player that shoots that hard. I would have added Ronaldinho if not that he achieved everything before he lost form. Business wise, he is smart too.

Adriano really messed up. That dude was destined to be a legend but he messed it up with his poor lifestyle. South American players are fond of that attitude. Once they make it, they lose it. Once they taste fame and wealth, they begin to spend more time at the strip club.
Dah his left foot dah was powerful. I once heard dah his shot tore net, dunno if it's rumor buh I can remember Winning Eleven in ps1 he was my best player

You forgot to add Ronaldinho. Despite the fact that he was already made, he would have remained at the top of his career if not for his lifestyle.

I noticed that a lot of Brazilian players tend to lose their way to partying and women.
Brazilians re mostly like dat. Robinho,Ronaldinho,Adriano. I guess it's cos dey come from the slums so dey Wia just overwhelmed by the amount of money dey see. Not many pple know how to handle fame n riches

George Best, what a waste:

“They say I slept with seven Miss Worlds. I didn't. It was only four. I didn't turn up for the other three.”
if you watch Best's videos, you will know that there was someone more talented than Messi. Unfortunately, alcohol, celebrity craze and smoking wasted him.
