Why for Goodness sake will they owe civil servants....?

We have never heard of house of rep or assembly, or even the senate embarking on strike over non _payment of salary.

The earlier they strike the better..Education is of low priority to this leadership
They do not even believe in education.

Nigeria educational system is nothing to write home about. I've witnessed countless strikes and it's very frustrating and sickening. I hope the Fg meet their demands before they commence another strike.

Dapromzy333:

The government had signed an agreement with the Academic Staff Union of Universities as a result of the strike action embarked upon by the union to press the implementation of the memorandum of understanding entered into between both parties in 2013 as well as the 2009 agreement.

2009 and 2013 agreement by the drunk ineffectual buffoon. He probably went into agreement in a state of drunkenness. Now Buhari has to clean up Goatluck Jonaddaft's mess once again. Children of hate and anger from the potopoto republic of drugs and crime will soon be here to shout Buhari.

ASUU needs to thread softly on these issues...

even as at 2013, the earned allowances was bogus & ambiguous, not every lecturer is entitled to it. ASUU needs to come clean on the issue because if it is the allowance concerning supervision of projects, then that is supposed to be the responsibility of the individual schools.

its just like civil servants wanting to go on strike because of overtime... it is ludicrous...

furthermore, it is wrong for universities to want to pull out of TSA, if the FG is going to keep funding them, then the FG must know how funds are utilised by the schools...

on staff schools, why should FG pay salaries of teachers in a school set up by universities when the universities do not remit the fees collected from the school to the FG? there are no checks on the staff school account with most universities using it as a siphoning conduit to defraud the FG.

on infrastructure, here schools have a major point. universities need for infrastructure, facilities, equipment & other learning enablers... but again, how many universities have properly utilised the TETFund allocations properly?

Most universities divert these funds to other areas where there is less accountability.

so ASUU must be reasonable in its demands... I said so in 2013 & I am saying so in 2017...

Sometime i wonder the kind of leaders we have in this country, they have been owed salary of civil servant and Reps approved to buy for their members #18m Peugoet 508, it's unfortunate to have leaders that don't care for education.
