Best news for some years now. Kudos to all the Presidents involved in this project and also to the contractors.
My fear is for the maintenance of this facility, Nigerians being who we are - zero maintenance culture. I hope the government employs guards to make sure this facility is well protected.

How do you mean there is no headway? The lagos lightrail project can never be compared to any of this projects because the rail is not built as stand alone. Apart from orile to cms where it is suspended, the rail is bundled with aditional 10 lane expressway. The elevated rail has sections that cross the lagoon(this no be beans my brother). Work is still going on daily as we speak. At a point, there was delay at the lagoon site due to a ship wreck which needed to be evaquated.

Nobody should even talk about the red line again. The blue line of just 27km has been under construction for 12 years now without any headway. It will probably take 100 years to construct the red line. Ambode should just try and finish the blue line abeg.

This project is an off shoot of the last administration and already settled with Chinese involvement, its part of the Abuja Master plan. The Buhari administration inherited it and the onus falls on his administration to see it to fruition.

Lol... Actually the major road (express) from Jo'burg to Capetown is 6 lanes ..3 going 3 coming...that's over 18hrs of driving with 6 lanes... Anywhere the white man has a large mass population u'll know... If SA was left to the blacks alone,..menh...it will be worse than Somalia sha

We've had bad successive Govts that were playing lip service to these projects, despite huge oil revenue. Now with the reduced oil revenue, the Country is managing to complete projects that has taken far too long to complete. Na when person wake up be him morning. Nigeria will be great!

2007 to 2015 is 8 years. Should it take that long to complete the project despite the huge oil revenue? Ordinarily, without paucity of funds, these are projects that should take only 2 years to complete. You are confirming the incompetency and lack of focus of the previous Govt.
