Danycrusoe: 2 late penalties in the space of 6 minutes for the home team. Ridiculous |

Icon4s: It ended 2:2 2 late penalties for the home team. They lost the first one and the ref awarded them another one, all within 6 mins. |

Danycrusoe: 2 penalties within 6 minutes...Haba In Nigeria only the ref determines who wins and who draws a game......Its safe to say that's why we're always ridiculously poor going to the continent, quite pitiful. |

Danycrusoe: For the home team. This upsets me because we have started a new season with the same rubbish. How can the league improve? I saw a report about sponsorship earlier, sponsors put their money where there is interest. The NPFL needs to generate interest for sponsors to find it attractive. You can not increase interest if games are not fair. If we make sure home teams get results by hook or crook. What is the point? 1 Like |

Danycrusoe: The referees do not deliberately sabotage diz games....there are lots of factors involved.First is security....Their safety is not guaranteed if d home team loses as dey may be attacked by the home fans under d watch of d few security details some of who are inclined to the home team winning.....a possible solution is to provide a security detailed specifically for d referees preferably from a neighbouring state. Secondly, I don't know if dis has changed, but d welfare of d referee is provided by d home team.....psycholologically, d referee would want to please his host....this has to change. Thirdly, most referees abroad are full time professionals in diff fields....encourage such here to improve professionalism and reduce d tendency for bribery as such individuals are likely going to be financially stable! 1 Like 1 Share |

komekn:Death, this is what is being prescribed - cold, unfeeling, machine livelessness. I forbid it for any human being. Let no man in the name of football wither and stultify his humanity with such dangerous prescription. This drug you are prescribing is poisonous. What you shockingly do not realise with your constant harping on objectivity is that you are EMOTIVELY SENTIMENTAL towards objectivity and I don't think that is objectivity. Thinking and feeling, the rational and the irrational, heart and mind must combine for a good result. You don't understand why the world is in polarities - male, female, night, day, high, low abi? The whole of the mind has been conditioned to become perfect in one direction - at the cost of wholeness. My whole insistence is that the night is as beautiful as the day - Osho 2 Likes 1 Share |

somehow:If you want to understand the intellectual dimensions of football read four four two magazine. It's a real feast. Their articles are top notch. You will read one on one interviews of great players. I read Xavi's one on one interview and I was amazed. I read four four two's profiling of Pep Gaurdiola and sincerely even though I don't like the man as such I was blown apart. 1 Like |

jihday: Isaac Success and Noah Bazee have not been frozen out of the team. They are out due to injury. Noah is a starter if fit and he has already played this season. Sone Aluko is in a far better situation than the unfit player he is up against. He has scored two goals and assisted 3 times this season. Joel Obi can be second choice. |

krattoss:thanks bro...I have said this before.... they've been cases where the police officials assigned to ensure order at match venues compromised reason because they're the club fans as well....so they find it easy to compromise just to make the home team wins... the military will hardly play such...I think the arm called the "military police" should be dispatched for this duty.... |

Danycrusoe: Seriously, we need to address this. If security is the problem, then every team that can not control their crowd should suffer a hefty fine and at least 12 points deduction. Once clubs understand the enormity, they will make adequate security arrangements. |

Humility017: Hmmmm...and they expect Kano Pillars not to feel robbed and want to do same to their next visitors. The refs are very easy to manipulate as the home teams are responsible for taking care of the refs before the game. Someone will emerge highest goal scorer now from such dubious decisions and you want us to take him serious. 6 Likes |

tbaba1234: I think we r all shifting the argument, the crowds were not reported to v been violent or threatened the referee. it's the referee's performance that we should concentrate on. the referee gave 2 penalties not because the crowd threatened or something but because of reasons known to him |

Olanrewaju Yet To Return To Girona After Christmas Break, Misses Las Palmas Clash 10 hours ago By Johnny Edward: Nigerian striker, Kayode Olanrewaju, is yet to return to his LaLiga Santander side Girona after the Christmas break, and will miss club’s League clash with Las Palmas in Montilivi today (Saturday) as he Completesportsnigeria.com (CSN) reports. The game is the second straight game the 24 year old Nigerian forward will be missing after he failed to report back to the club from the Christmas break. He was also not in the matchday squad for Girona, in their 4-2 away defeat to Valencia at the Mestalla stadium last week. According to a report on Spanish daily, L’Esportiu, the former Austria Wein striker has his head turned on after receiving offers from several teams during the January transfer window and he is also concerned about his chances of making Nigeria’s Russia 2018 World Cup Squad. But Girona are not willing to allow the striker leave until the end of the season despite, the Nigerian failing to score a goal in 12 LaLiga Santander games because they believe he is still capable of regaining his scoring form for Pablo Machin’s team. Olanrewaju has three international caps for the Super Eagles of Nigeria since he made his debut against South Africa in an African Nations Cup qualifier in June last year. Girona are 13th in the Spanish La Liga Santander table with 23 points from 18 games played so far. https://www.completesportsnigeria.com/olanrewaju-yet-return-girona-christmas-break-misses-las-palmas-clash/amp/ |
