Which POE was this?
Did she have correspondence with a hospital or Doctor in the US to back her claims?

Also did she have her DR's report from Nigeria with her?

JFK and yes she had the hospital correspondence with her but the officer said she didn't want to see any docs

Hello, Please i sent u a pm, can u please share the details of the hospital and the doctor you are settling for in Chicago with me, My wife will be coming to Chicago around April for the same purpose. Thank you.

Zeenayah:
Hiya, the best thing to do would be to contact the Dr you want to use to give you the new price or call the hospital, ask to speak to the financial counselor and get the new pricing. I think they call it the Miracle Moments program.

The information I have was at September last year so I dunno if the prices have been reviewed. 5k for normal and 8k for CS (Hospital, Dr X and Epidural only no pediatrician bills etc).

GFavor:
Hi Dior,
The cost you gave for oakbend does it include Dr fee and paed.

don't really know how to post here, but yes Oakbend has reviewed their fees.

Vaginal delivery 2,850
C-section 4,050
Multiple births/each additional 700

It's hospital fee alone. You pay doctor and Pediatrician separately. Please note that you can pay the old price which is 2,750 and 3,950 respectively if you don't go with the new quotation.

For a Nigerian passport, you’ll have to fly to the consulate in New York or Washington DC.
I would recommend applying for an expedited Nigerian visa instead.

For the advice you seek u might need to b a bit more specific, for example, when exactly did u get the visa?? have u used the visa before??
were u pregnant when u got the visa??

Awesome777:

I seek your advice, it is actually urgent. My due date is in March and am looking at giving birth in the US but am on visiting visa at the moment.

What are my chances right now? Is it still possible to write a change of intent letter, if it is possible, I will be glad if someone can work me through this process.

Expecting your reply.

I actually got the visa with my husband, we wanted to attend my cousin's wedding which was what we stated during the interview but we couldn't make it due to circumstances beyond our control.

I was just few weeks pregnant as at that time but was unaware when I got the visa in August.

So how do I go about it?

My people,

I hail Una.

Please, what documents am I expected to take to DHL office for visa renewal after using my B1/B2 to give birth in US.

Would I require to submit the zero balance letters from the doc/hospital/Pead. along with my completed application form at the DHL office.

Thank u

Why do you want to process her Nigerian passport there? It’s more expensive than in Nigeria. You can process ur baby’s American passport without ssn. Then apply for visa on arrival or ETC.

Also call the social security administration number (google is your friend) or find the nearest 1 closest to you or the hospital you gave birth in and find out if they have issued his number. They can give you the number over d phone. If it’s not then you ask what the issue is...

The ideal scenario would be to use the visa for what it was issued for,but if you must make the trip then the issue would now be with visa renewal. If you are still bent on making the trip after all said and done, then you have to write the change of intent letter, get Dr & hospital correspondence and then hold plenty of cash to show at Poe to convince them that you can pay your bills.

1) The applicant's passport
2) The GT Bank receipt
3) The applicant's DS-160 confirmation page
4) The applicant's appointment/drop box confirmation page

That's all the DHL folks need for drop box. Some people are invited to attend an interview at the embassy despite applying through drop box....you can take the zero balance and other docs to the interview....if invited.

You can also waive drop box priviledge when booking the appointment and attend an interview at the embassy...straight up... in order to present your docs.

Your choice.

For ticket hunters, GTBank is running a promo with Qatar...40 off prices. Ends today. Promo code is NGGTBGT.

Just learnt about it.

You need to pay with a GTBank master card though.

Also, check the terms and conditions on the Qatar website.

Enjoy.
