No doubt Christensen should not be taking that risk but I assure you any other midfielder gobbles that ball up.

That sloth did not even move his body one yard toward a ball that passed 3 yards in front of him from 15 yards away.

There is a kind of pass I would play to you within 3 yards of your body, everyone would say its a decent pass, but if I play the same pass to Yokozuna that cannot move his body, it would turn into a mishit.
Chai, see what fabregas has turned to.

Sure. I can never troll Man utd especially if they are playing those thieves Uefalona.

I don't even troll Arsenal vs Bayern.

It doesn't make sense

This says nothing.

Chris threw a wayward pass which was within the reach of Cesc. The Spaniard failed to get hold of it cos he was sleeping.

Who gets the blame here?

The Dane who let the egg slip or the Spaniard who failed to catch the falling egg which was right before him?

Be honest with yourself: Flip the script and make Fab, Christensen - he will be blamed. "He should have known not to pass the ball across the box. Christensen did not want to trap the ball in his half. Fab is at fault".

Do same and switch Fab and Azpi and let Fab slide that way, He will take the blame.

In all these, it is suspicious that the player who made the bad pass and the defender without whose mistake, Ini does not get to pass the ball to Messi, are absolved of the blame. But the player who watched the ball roll out is at fault. It is scape-goating.

At almost 34 years of age, Don Iniesta is still deciding the biggest games... Check out that dummy and sweet assist.

Nihilist, letting the ball roll away from the goal was the clever thing to do. However, at that point, he should've done the smart and safe thing, which was boot the ball into touch.
instead of being safe, he wanted to be clever and it cost us now fab is giving conte advise on camp nou aproach

cruxifizio, i forgot to apologize to you arguing fab willian. you were right, i thought drinkwater would play so fab's foolishness would be far away.

a cooperate error by the players at that moment, series of bad choices a reminded of how unlucky chelsea have been all season.

Nihilist:

I'd be interested to see if you can find a media houuse that backs up your assertion.

I've checked the big names, Guardian, Sky, BBC, Sun, Daily Mail, Goal

Everyone of them blame Chris and Azpi, none of them even mention Fab

The simple fact of the matter is that, as of the time the ball went past fab, we were still NOT in danger...

Then Azpi dove in recklessly and the rest is history...

Simple fact, Azpi doesn't dive in, Iniesta never has a square play...

Unless you want to say a reckless slidetackle was the only option left to Azpi as a result of Fab not touching the ball
forget those tabloids, look at the comments of fans that watched the game live.

one said chris kept looking at fab, questioning why he let the ball roll.

fab put azp under pressure, imagine having the calm feeling that fab as the ball only for you to see him make a bakayoko out of it.

cesar was clearing not thinking because it was unexpected.

If that lazy fabregas tried to trap that ball, the ball might be deflected to suarez path as nihilist observed. He chose the other option which was equally suicidal.

Very good game plan by Chelsea and well executed by the players, though Barca played in to your hands with this narrow 4-4-2 diamond rubbish.

That Barca goal does not happen without Chris passing the ball and it is a cardinal rule that you never pass across your own 18. When in doubt kick it out! So he is culprit no 1.

No 2 culprit is Azpi who in uncharacteristic fashion panicked and went to the ground against a player that he and Moses had curtailed reasonably all game by staying on their feet.

No 3 culprit and the least culpable is Fab who is naturally slow and was possibly also too tired at that time to reach the ball.

The first 2 made obvious deliberate actions which turned out to be monumental errors, Fab didn't.
Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by PDPGuy: 4:51am On Feb 21, 2018
My formation for the 2nd leg (if everyone is fit) is as follows:

--------------Azpi-------Christensen-----Rudiger--------------

-----Moses--------Drinkwater------Kante-------Alonso-------

--------------------Willian-------------Hazard------------

---------------------------Morata----------------------

Regardless of the score, if Drinkwater gets tired around the 60th-65th minute mark, Fabregas can be subbed in for him.

probably to kick the ball away for a counter towards fab to receive the ball then spray the pass as Barca players were way off their own box.

Chris made a mistake but the most annoying part was the way his mates reacted to the mistake likely shocked or confused or trying to play it cool before they knew bam they are chasing the ball trying to cover then the ball is dropped back for messi every other person in space, free space to shot.

can believe that Barca has reduce to the extent they now wait for mistakes or luck to win games.
I watched the replay again. Chris no. One culprit, Fabregas no. 2 and the person that marked iniesta.

so to you Emenalo that joined Chelsea in 2007 as chief scout and then first team assistant for four years before being made TD in 2011 was "learning on the job" and the board that employed him and kept promoting him and refused his willing resignation in 2013 to accommodate mou was "leaning on the job"

let's not even look to far as to 2007 for the players Chelsea brought in during that period, let's start from 2011 if you agree Emenalo is the cause of everything in Chelsea not just the bad.

that 2011/2012 when Chelsea won the CL Your Emenalo bought Raul Meireles, KDB, Romeu, Mata and Cahill Chelsea already had Mikel, Lampard, Ramires, Essien in midfield right.

then in 2012/2013 after winning CL he brought in Hazard that you are enjoying now, Oscar, Azi. should Meireles have stayed? was he worth replacing. Chelsea lacked quality in an attack which he addressed, out went kalou.

2013/2014 he brings in William, matic, schurle, salah, ginkel out went malouda, Essien, Mata and even KDB. I am still looking for how you came about the Emenalo did not buy midfielders and was only buying attackers as if Chelsea had quality attackers.

in 2014/2015 when Chelsea won the EPL Fabrepass, Costa were brought in

2015/2016 flop year only Pedro, to replace the inefficient Juan cuardrado to solve attacking imbalance on Chelsea's right side. all through this period when was Mikel ever a constant starter in Chelsea's eleven. Chelsea still had Ramires starting beside Lampard

2016/2017 revival Kante

Now Abrahimovic is not the kind to keep someone that is not performing he even sacked avan grant who was said to be close to him after just a year.

Just be honest about why you don't like him because your reasons stated above doesn't hold water
what do you expect someone who still prefer David alaba to marcelo?

Fernando
Fernandinho
Fabian Delph
Gundogan

That's four different men who can do the DM work perfectly fine, all acquired within four years.

Any manager can build with these base.
Have always know you would say anything to back up your biased opinion.

Gundogan a DM ?in which world?

Even when you forgot to mention de Jong he doesn't mean your assertion about emenalo was right.

There is nothing unusual with passing the ball across your 18. Modern defenders do it all the time. You can see the sloth Fabregas open for the ball and looking at Chris. All his body language here says to Chris gimme the ball. There ain't really a fücking thing wrong with this pass Chris plays, only very slightly away from Fabregas body which he has enough time to react to.

The moment a ball is played, you have few milliseconds to adjust your body to get to the pass. The sloth could not move himself.

Chris is the major culprit for me. Azpi also fvcked up by making that reckless challenge however if fab took responsibility after Chris fvcked up....I am 1000℅ sure we wont be having this conversation. Fab as usual couldn't be bothered or was just too lazy to act.
don't you get it fab have Suarez in front and Messi at his back...it's was intelligent thinking, I still think Chris pass was harmless until azpilicueta dived in

it's really sad fab made that moment and it counted. just pray he doesnt make such silly assumptions in the next leg that would cost the team that is if he takes responsibility for that mistake as a matured player.

Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Champions Of Europe 2021 by afrodoc2: 8:31am On Feb 21, 2018
So no blame for Azpilicueta that panicked and went sliding in like he should be a skier at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics?

Passing the ball across your 18 yard box especially when the press is on is a great risk. If it succeeds you move on, but if it fails you have to take a fair chunk of the blame.
