Well I had same fear initially. But after spending some time reading and watching YouTube videos my orientation changed.
I realized that the new 18:9 aspect ratio and bezeless display allows for more screen to be placed on a phone without increasing it's size or bulkiness in anyway. Example of this is the Samsung S8+ which is 6.2 inch but look smaller than most 5.5 inch phone. Same goes with iPhone X 5.7 inch, but is obviously smaller than iPhone 8+ 5.5inch . My friend uses Gionee A1 lite 5.3inch screen but the old 16:9 aspect ratio, he was expecting my 5 plus to be twice his, but much to his chagrin they are almost same size. So you see bigger screen does not translate to bigger phone thanks to the new aspects ratio.

I'm sure the 5 plus would be similar to note 4 in size but if in doubt check both dimensions on gsmarena.

Modified : I checked gsmarena the 5 plus is even smaller than the note 4x

Redmi 5 plus: 158.5 x 75.5 x 8.1 mm (6.24 x 2.97 x 0.32 in)

Redmi note 4x : 151 x 76 x 8.5 mm (5.94 x 2.99 x 0.33 in)

Although the 5 plus is about 15g heavier than the note 4x.

LG G3 battery is trash sha. Powerful phone with first 2k screen running on Nokia torch battery.. Same with G4
I've used both and had two batteries in both cases and still wanted to cry.
But your battery is really impressive. That's redmi 5 plus ba? SOT would be like 5hrs from that graph

Shows you didn't do your research very well. The note 5 pro is sd636, plays in the league of sd660 and not sd626 and fwiw the price difference is totally worth it.

Big trash. Phone overheats. Plus I have to off background data of most apps including instagram to increase speed on a 3gb ram phone. Even my 2015 gionee s plus out performs my LG g3.

Yeah.. It's the Redmi 5 plus on like 5hrs+ SOT and browsing on 3G plus multi tasking.

I know you have been corrected but let me say again, don't allow the naming pattern of snapdragon processors to deceive you. The snapdragon 636 in the Redmi note 5 pro is far better than the Snapdragon 630, even the snapdragon 650/652 are no match for it. Also the camera difference between Redmi note 5 pro and Redmi 5 plus is not slight.

Both batteries are approximately thesame in terms of battery efficiency, the difference is really slight.
