So, I have this two cousins with issues if appendicitis...
They both did surgery two years ago, one in uk and the other in Abuja.

There is no trace of scar nor complications with the one that did in uk while the one that did in Abuja still has a VERY big scar.

And they'll be agitating for the same salary as the ones abroad.
Maybe it was a laparascopic appendectomy costing several millions of naira compared to 80k-150k open appendectomy where cheaper materials are used.

There's what we call minimally invasive surgery(I guess the name is self explanatory) and such practices are far beyond the reach of Nigerian doctors and that's why open surgeries are done most of the time. That's most likely the case with your relative. Medical practice in Nigeria is under strain already, please, appreciate your doctors(you may have to scrutinize everyone to ensure they are actually doctors), a lot of effort was put in behind the curtains.

She has extensive scarring from internal scars or abdnominal adhesions as a result of her surgeries.

I had an abdominal surgery when I was ten, five years later, the scarring blocked my large intestine. The specialist at LUTH wanted to do a general surgery for me, but the problem is that I would then have to do these surgeries every two to three years because invasive surgery always causes rescarring
Luckily, in that same month, LUTH took delivery of Laparoscopic machines which are used for pin hole surgerys. That is, instead of cutting up a patient, a small location is opened in the body, and a camera is inserted followed by a small scalpel or pin that does the surgery.

I had the minimally invasive surgery and never suffered from intestinal blockages every again.

you think everything is for fun.... you sure don't know what she is going through.... I pray you don't find yourself in such a situation.... you will cry to God and He will remind you of this day..... intestinal obstruction is a killer and not a physical problem because doctors themselves don't know how and why it happens... I'm a survivor of it and I can tell you,only God can intervene... you need Jesus my dear and finally, being foolish doesn't make one funny...

Laparascopic surgery is really expensive... my family paid 1.5 million 7 years ago just to avoid this complications and scarring.

How much do you think the procedure is right now in Nigeria?
