It is football. Forlan flopped at Manchester United and became the highest goal scorer in Europe playing for Villareal. Theirry Henry flopped at Juventus and later became one of the best strikers in the history of the game playing for Arsenal and Barcelona.

Very wrong THIERRY HENRY did not flop at Juventus that's misinformation.

But the resentment some players had towards the LEGENDARY Rashidi Yekini(the greatest Nigerian striker) would not let them to even drop a pass for the man. Rashidi scored a goal and celebrated it all by himself...very sad and to see how he died like a nobody is very embarrassing for the black race. We need to love our black brothers more, we need love in AFRICA

They qualified from the toughest group in Africa with 1 game to spare. They almost did it with 2 games to spare. When last has a Nigerian team done that?

They have produced results so far when it mattered.

Tragic.. I remember Uche Okechukwu from the back was the first person to celebrate with Yekini. I hope the present team maintain a good spirit.

The biggest problem the black man has is unity. Look at Forgiveness and his English friend and how they have tried to tear this thread apart but they have not succeeded because we have true African brothers here...Mujtahida dey , Joebie dey , Nerdie dey, Icons4 dey and my phucking self dey too.

By the way , Uche Okechukwu has always been a very cool guy

K. Nwakali has been identified as a special talent long before today. As far back as 2012/2013. This is Five to six years later. The coaching crew giving him support is commendable. It does not run down other players but encourages them to keep working hard to take their opportunities when they get their chances.

What makes you a special talent is when you currently, consistently perform with that special talent year in and year out with commensurate upwards progression.

You certainly do not rely on past glories or using the national team set up to market your failing career.

I'll give you an example Dembele noticed him at 16 2012 at Fulham thay bought him from PSG he simply kept progressing. At 18 he was the top striker with the highest goal tally in all youth leagues. January last year Chelsea bid stupid money for him Celtic refused.

Dele Alli
Gomez
Raheem
Rashford
Lukaku
Pogba
Dembele
Mbappe
Ssegnon

All these players were considered special talents very early on even at the age of 9 years old and they kept progressing. They didn't have to play for obscure clubs or leagues. Thier outstanding talent kept pushing them forward not backwards. Where are they now Bible says " A man's gift will make way for him and cause him to stand before Kings" paraphrase.

The only person calling these guys special talent is you and the esteemed all-knowing coaching crew or the NFF. Nobody else of substance is, don't you think it's food for thought to reconsider your opinion based on anothers opinion.

Dont you think ❓ ❓ Nwokem

Look at Seyi Ojo bought for £1.8 million at the age of 14. Just turned 21 now and although doing ok i would not call him special talent anymore.

I could talk about Dan Tricket Smith considered special talent by Liverpool they paid near £350k for him at age 16, he was released in 2016, he is now within 1 year playing NON LEAGUE.

John Cofie was a team mate of Pogba when they won the youth cup. He was bought from Burnley at the age of 14 for £1 million by Man United. The accolades that followed him where crazy the next Drogba, etc, etc. He was released by United in 2013 before he was 21. He dropped so low that he began playing non league he is only 24 now.

Youthful exceptional talent has a sell by date after that it has expired if it has not been proven on the professional field of play.

I can count hundreds if not thousands of players that had Way more accolades that Nwakali and cost a lot more £££ than he did. I know players brought from Canada France etc within one year or two dropped. Some allowed to stay in the U23 and stagnate with dust. When time reach you are sweepf out and forgotten.

Meanwhile the esteemed all-knowing coaching crew of the NFF is still looking at past glories.

In football what you need is opportunity to show your talent but opportunity should be deserved not awarded by favour.

When I look at the number of skilful talented boys of African Nigerian origin that play in non league and lower leagues you guys would be gob smacked. But they never got opportunity. Why that's a long story and corruption is intrinsically linked in with it.

You are so predictable, everyone here knows you had ajagun in mind when criticizing nwakali.... Can't you change for once... That ebere you added there is just so that you will not be tagged tribal.... BTW does ebere deserve it more than nwakali..... Or is your washed up ajagun [old man] a special talent..... I tire for you.... Nwakali is the future not your ajagun deal with it.

You asked for players better than Nwakali home and abroad that can be added to the team at the moment and I gave you Ajagun(home) and Eze(abroad) but this is all you could come up with. Smh

eterisan:
egbon why wait for dust to settle. Did you wait before you and komekn stunk up this place with your negative prejudice about nwakali. Simple question you both can't answer. It is like you both think you are smarter than everyone here.

If you and bros komekn cannot give us just a name of one Nigerian player, foreign born or Naija born who is a special talent midfielder who deserves to be called up at this moment
to just train with the national team.... Then I am sorry to say you should keep quiet [no shut the phuck up]. Never ever you criticise nwakali's call up again since you have nothing better to present. Good luck to you.

Abi, was that not your question?

If I remove Eze name, you will still call me names but for your information I had to ommit Tega Onomah from my list because you said i should list players that can play for Nigeria 'at the moment'.

So, you can see I answered you according to the tenor of your question.

Of course, I have Ajagun in mind because first he is a Nigerian and secondly his current stats speak for him which is far better than Nwakali's stats . Abi! is he from Congo or Somalia?

However, if I have Ajagun in mind, what is bad about that?

Oh! He is old? Old outdated dirty tricks to fizzle out players.

How old is he?

In short, are you his father or mother?

If you know know his age you are free to answer.

How many of those players currently in the team are younger than Ajagun that are for the future out of the 26 players in the camp?

Is Simeon for the future, is Ogu for the future, is Agu for the future, is Ogenyi Onazi for the future, is Brian Idowu for the future.. Is Ikechuckwu Ezenwa for the future, is Leon Balogun for the future, is Echiejile for the future.. is
Kenneth Omeruo for the future? Etc

Are all these players that are older or the same age mate of Abdul Ajagun for the future?

Why didn't you criticize their inclusion because they are old washed up players(based on your logic)?

Why don't we carry Emmanuel Amuneke under 17 winning team to the world Cup because they for the future?

Do you think the world cup is for under age players?

Let us kuku ma replace Simy with Osimhen because he's for the future, right?

My friend, the world cup is not for under aged players neither is for future prospect players. It's indeed for players that have proven themselves in top 10 leagues in Europe and Ajagun has really don that.

I know you target is not Ebere else I would have told you point blank that he deserves to be called.

No. Your problem is Ajagun. Why?

He is Blah Blah Blah... Old.

As you can see more than 10 - 12 of his age mates which is half of of the team are currently in the National team. Then, I don't think age is the problem.

Can you now give me another sensible and reasonable explaination for your disaproval of Ajagun?

My guy I know that England are the favorites especially as the game will take place in their home yard. But you are Nigerian. It's your fatherland. And as a matter of, fact the Super Eagles are more than capable of defeating any team on their day. Ask Argentina and Poland.

You asked about the Eredivisie and K. Nwakali not performing there. Or is Eredivisie not club football again?

He is in the Eerste Divisie the second tier of Dutch football. The Dutch Eredivisie league is rated 14 in Europe much below the Austrian, Swiss and Turkish leagues.

We are also talking about 2nd tier, Kluivert a clear and identified special talent plays in the Eredivisie for Ajax.

So do you think that it's in The Eerste Divisie that a special talent should be playing in. If he was special playing in a moi moi league and club by now he should have scored goals in double figures, have multiple MOTM awards and be the outstanding stand out player in that league.

Considering your stance how many goals MOTM awards How many clubs are clamouring to sign him. I recall Pogba left Manchester United U21 straight into Juventus first team at 20, I wonder WHY ❓ ❓

This is not about Nwakali per se but the system that selects players for national team selection based on past glories or assumed potential without any underpinning based on performance.
