I've confirmed a guy from my L. G has made it. Though we applied for a different job category but I doubt if that matters anyway.
If that's how it works.
Then I think it's time I forgot about it too.

Choi. This point is highly subjective naa cry

Anybody with a Bsc degree in any social science (Economics, Accounting, Business Administration etc) should be able to apply for the HR position. HR cuts across this disciplines too, and i can prove it embarassed Is it not about passion?

Could you clarify this point please embarassed

*Modified*

This point is valid though, since the required course of study for each position was explicitly stated. Eg Economist II - Bsc Economics but for HR Officer if wasn’t specific.

For the HR Position, Please clarify this point.

Example 1.
Assuming you have BSc. in Economics and applied for a HR position when the position of Economist was also advertised, you are most likely not to get the job. Someone that has BSc. Sociology and applied for the same HR position will be given more attention.

Example 2.
You have BSc. Physics and applied for a Geophysics position.
BSc. Environmental engineering and applied for a petroleum engineer position
BSc. Petroleum engineering and applied for a chemical engineer position.
They will not be considered.

Everything was clearly stated on the recruitment website.

Ok, but you shouldn't take every information at its face value. Some of them will prove untrue at the end. Also remember that it was humans that compiled the list, not machine. And humans do use discretion in some scenarios.

This is not to give you false hope, but it is one of the realities of life. You may be surprised.

The few successful candidates contacted to update their portals had issues such as missing documents and files belonging to other candidates found on their profile etc. They were further asked to confirm other details like name, class of degree and position applied and were told they would receive a feed back. The same week, the candidates (non-merit) that made it were contacted for confirmation and asked to provide more details.

Portals will be updated when the APLs are ready for pick up.

Factors considered during the final selection process:
1. Two or more candidates were not picked from the same LGA. The one with the highest score was considered.

2. A candidate with an average score of over 70% will be more likely to succeed.

3. If you applied for a position that isn’t related to your discipline, you will be dropped.

4. Masters degree is an advantage

5. Class of degree

6. If you have a relation working in DPR, you will be dropped unless you have a strong backing.

7. Children of retired staff will most likely considered. Only about 10% made it to the interview on merit.
I totally ageeed on no 3

To my observation on that interview date I notice one particular thing which I know a lot will testify only if they Don't want to..

Why I strongly agree with marvel on the point of if you applied for a position not correlating with your course of study..

I observed applicant in that situation didn't stay longer, they exit the room so soon and were not asked much questions..

Am not saying they won't make it am only saying my observation cos Na only God dey talk who go make Am or not..

I agree.

But this is from a VERY reliable source. Unless of course it's not the final list.

Some states were given a small number of slots while others had more. For example, if a state is given 5 slots, it must be filled with 5 candidates from 5 different LGAs.
Hence, the total of number of slots (400) will be shared across the Six Geopolitical zones.

The information you seek is highly confidential. I’m afraid I can’t disclose the figures. The sharing formular was fair enough.

Does it mean that only the successful candidates (merited and unmeritted) were contacted to update their information. Also, pertaining to no7 quote, is the 10% children of retired staff or total candidates called for the interview.

I'm sorry, I cant answer the bolded.
Hmmm, I like your confidence. You don't need to worry about the list if you believe you aced the test and interview.

It was only just a few of them that were contacted out of the 400.

10% of the total number of children of retired staff were invited for the interview. They were among the 3000+ candidates.
