macbeyland: despite your reviews always treat every client like its the first time of doing business with you....keep reassuring them despite the constant inquiry, you wont blame them people are basically paranoid, the times are not helping either. in my own opinion try and fit into the shoes of your prospective clients. best regards 8 Likes |

proclivity: Why would someone lose his reputation because of 72k?You can clearly see he told the person he has nothing to worry about, the thing is no matter how you reassure some people they would never believe you. 3 Likes |

fibonacci2526: why would someone lose his reputation for 72k? good point, but how many of your prospective clients can rely on just nairaland reviews,do you knw till this day pple dnt even trust jumia nd any form of online purchase or deals, these are and will be your clients wether you like it or not so keep reassuring, the pple who arnt conversant with online deals still exist! Sir if they refuse to believe let them be, but keep reassuring, find a way to get your prospective client to do business with you despite your online credibility. 15 Likes |

proclivity: I DON'T SELL PHONES!!!!!!!!! You still don't get this, some people would rather you send the phone to them before they pay and these are the same people that wouldn't want to give you their money because they don't "trust"you but fully expect you to trust them. Its easy if one has trust issues, they can go to a shop and buy whatever phone they need. 8 Likes 1 Share |

proclivity: I wish I could screenshot the earlier conversations. Maybe you would see reason why I had to tell him to trust his instinct, which is also not a bad advise to give to someone who's unnecessarily paranoid. One of my business person, I haven't seen her before. I don't even know her but someone here on nairaland whom I have also not met before referred her. My first transaction with that lady I paid 750k to her account without knowing whether she would deliver or not. I just had to give her that benefit of the doubt. Being excessively paranoid isn't such a good thing because it might restrict one to only interacting with his/her immediate environment as opposed to a world of opportunities. 1 Like |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by proclivity: 6:51pm On Jul 06, 2018 |
fibonacci2526: duely noted, this is and has always been a challenge, it is not a new situation. untill online sellers find a way around it, we will keep talking about this over and over, a solution is what is needed not the obvious challenge/problem. business isnt static, jumia, ali express, amazon with their credibility do not talk about their challenges in public they propagate their successes, while looking for means to overcome their challenges. 7 Likes |

The person is just doing what I could've done if I ordered a year or 2 ago.. But now I don't know why I'm not afraid about trusting people with my money anymore.. I ordered from nobody too for the first time and I'm still waiting. Seriously I don't see anything that is wrong in him doubting you and I don't see anything wrong in your answer.. But what I see wrong is you posting it here.. What is to be discussed about it.. He doesn't have a right to doubt because he has seen your reputation online? .. Haven't we seen a thread here where fake sellers drop reviews for themselves. So if you don't know what we see here is not enough for trust.. That's just it 3 Likes |

fibonacci2526: I don't doubt anyone here.. But it is not enough for some people.. And I don't know about you, but I can't go through all reviews of a seller. And my own is if I'm going for something I go for it head-on no matter what happens I learn from it. But for some people it's not enough for them. And you said legit, how do you know? Did you type it? Did you know someone who did drop the review? , you only said its legit because you trust them.. Some people don't trust like you so they got to ask.. |
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by fibonacci2526: 7:24pm On Jul 06, 2018 |
samkol26: How do I know they are legit? You say it as a matter of fact as if I haven't patronised at least 2 of our sellers here over and over again. I give up. |

fibonacci2526: I see you still don't get my point here I didn't say he's wrong and I didn't say the seller is wrong. What I'm saying is that we have differences in personality.. That's your own you choose to trust the seller and after patronizing them you trust them more because they delivered. But he's doing it for the first time and unlike me he didn't trust the seller, so I don't see why the seller should post it here.. What is there to discuss.. In fact I've also patronized them and I trust them but everyone can't be like you. This is how my deal went.

Macbeyland I like the advice you gave the client. Trust your instincts....... In business, you do your best to convince the client by giving them reasons why they should trust you. but never try to force them or sway them to a certain decision. Allow them make their choice. As a customer, it is your responsibility to make research about the person or company you are patronizing. I remember when I got my first xiaomi phone from a seller on this thread. I researched about the guy so much, even to the point of using Google. I found out where he works in case anything happens. In all, I could not find any reason why I should not trust him. but that was then. Since that time, I have even bought other things from sellers here. A new person will always be paranoid and you shouldn't blame them. And whether new or old, it is always good to shine your eyes!!! 1 Like 1 Share |

macbeyland:has airing it made d person trust u? One thingy you'll agree with me is that those that will buy won't chat very very long with loads of rhetorical questions. Imagine a question like "can I trust you with my money?" or haven't you been asked that before? I wonder if a scammer will answer "no" to such. Imagine this, 'I've read loads of positive feedbacks about you and I was actually referred to you by a friend. It's not as if I don't trust you but can you scan your international passport to me? " Or something like' I've trust issues, can you send it first and I'll pay after receiving the phone", from someone with no single post/topic here on nairaland before o The bottomline is that not everyone who buzzed you wants to buy, if you like pay Davido to give them "assurance" or even take the phone to them, they will not buy. If some people still doubt aliexpress with one of the best buyer's protection policy, who are 'we' with few hundreds of just online feedbacks and recommendations? But it's not OK for you to start airing it, or did someone ask you here? 7 Likes |

Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by Protein0: 8:15pm On Jul 06, 2018 |
samkol26: how, where and what to buy plus who to buy from is to the absolute discretion of the buyer. It's his or her money but the annoying part is that some people actually know that they have trust issues(which isn't abnormal) but they will still approach online sellers to trust them by sending their phones first or use their money to order black shark and get paid after arrival Do you request for what you can't give? Very simple! Everyone isn't a candidate of e-commerce and they can't be blamed, they've been wounded, no thanks to dem scammers But once you know you can't do some bits of diligence to trust online deals, then always buy offline. ubev01: I get what you are saying but as a buyer you must do your due diligence. If he/she still doesn't trust someone that has concluded so many deals in the course of research, that means the person get major issue. Bottom line is if you have trust issues, Waka go shop buy your phone. |

Harryfrosh:oga there is nothing abusive or agressive about his comment, the problems u made mention of are issues that resonate with a lot of free apps. You didn't indicate that u only installed whatsapp and puffing In ur earlier comment. Hence it's easy to assume that u ignorantly installed an app that is running ads on your device. (Which I also believe is the problem). |
