We know for certain that Peter was married because he had a mother-in-law (Matthew 8:14). The apostle Paul, who was not married, asked the Corinthians whether he also did not have the right to take a believing wife (1 Corinthians 9:5), as did “the other apostles and the Lord's brothers and Cephas [Peter].” From this, we can assume that Peter was not the only one to have a wife.

This is my personal opinion about the records.

I think the early Catholic priests chose to go celibate in a bid to continually activate their sick pervert minds to the innate urge and desires to prey on the young, innocent and helpless in their fold.

The above is evident from the many reports of abuse on the young and innocent in the civilised world from whence they originated.

Now my people, can you imagine the havoc these sick perverts have successfully wrecked in this our part of the woods where a white man nay a priest is seen as God, one who can never err and definitely one whose ass is worthy to be licked and wiped clean with all privilege.

Growing up, I had attended the Catholic church and always admired the lucky boys who were selected and privileged to act as mass servants to these mainly white priests then. However, seeing and knowing what we all do now, you can imagine what those innocent boys must have been through in the hands of these cradle robbers disguised as men of God.

How about the many women married and unmarried who felt it a privilege to warm these dirty priests bed.

It might sound funny and ridiculous, but there are cases where a man is infertile and he offers his wife to "father" being God's messenger to do the job and they start bringing half-caste and semi-albinos to the world. Who better to make a child from than he whom you feel is on a personal rapport with God. Who better to keep this secret than God's own paddy "the holy fada"
