chukzyfcbb: It would have been fair if he cared about the welfare of the people living on his property, but he doesn't, he only cares about money. Sometime this year, we had to stay without water for close to 3 days because they couldn't fix a simple broken pipe. In fact, I mobilized some people and we put together to repair the pipe. Should the tenants be the ones repairing a landlord's property for him when we were not the ones that damaged it in the first place. 10k may be small but when someone just comes from nowhere and asks you to pay an extra 10k when you already budgeted for the former amount, then it is not funny. 1 Like 2 Shares |

post=72480274: You also forget to mention that some tenants also behaves like Al Capone, owe you 5 years rents yet parades themselves on social media as the owners of the house. Redecorate and reconstruct your house without approval! Ibo people are the waste in this category! Never will I ever admit any ibo man or woman or by relation to my house again. Don't be quick to blame the landlord. Do you know what the rate of land Use Charges are currently? 1 Like |

Grupo: Well That's his responsiblity, although some if these tenants can misuse the privilege that a landlord is taking care of his house. They even expect a landlord to come and repair the sink they use inside their kitchen because he has maintenance attitude Do tenants pay for service charges? I guess not, so if a landlord should repair stuffs like that, its out of his good will. Over here rents increase in 50k ,100,150k + for flats. |

It is almost impossible to change the mind of your landlord if he wishes to increase his house rent so negotiation is out of it Human beings value money like they value their lives, some even value money more than their lives |

hisexcellency34: I'll think about it is the beginning of negotiation. Intact the Op did a good job following it closely with option 2. That alone would make a landlord think a faithful tenant is about leaving his property. |

flames01:If you are shouting Atikuloot and you don't own your own mansion from 1999 to 2015 before Buhari came on board, then your are a uselful basterd. Because Atiku owns almost 150 houses and even abandon one in US. His kids are all abroad. Atiku has a private jet. Atiku also bribed delegates with about 3 million each. Cc:Flames01 |

Maybe we would stop being patriotic and start hero worshipping your highness, ekuke and by extension the Poverty Development Party - the noble club that lifted you and your family out of poverty. useless talker like you. This is what I always did. I'd always been a good tenant that would take the house and its environs as mine. Even attend CDAs meeting on my own just to mingle, get updated with the going-ons in the area, and watch out for opportunities such as land, coop, etc. 1. I'd protest a little asking him to consider the economy. 2. If he was adamant, i'd insist on 6 months grace. 3. Then I would be on the look-out for a better house with better facilities in the same area, even next house, for the same increased rent amount or lower. 3. If not found, I'd start considering other parts of the town I'd found interesting, but not far from workplace, and with prospective. Bottom line: i tried to get better option for the same amount or less. |

flames01:Scallywag, tell it now by your life that you are not supporting Atiku!... ..brainless you who just picked on sai babaists to derail a tenant - landlord thread totally unrelated to politics because you are still pained and have been shedding bloody inconsolable tears ever since your saviour GEJ ,clueless ,was kicked out in 2015 by PMB think we are foolish like you.
