You must have a fluctuating Blood Pressure. See your Doctor to control that first. After, report yourself on this Network. The woman in your life is Godsent. Your faithful interactions with her will determine your healing. Goodluck. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I empathize with you. You will be alright. I’d like to advise you to take your medication strictly and see more specialists if you can. Going to church isn’t Christianity. Many Churches practice hedonism that’s why you left. While you take your medicine and hope for better health, please read the Book of John with all understanding and an open mind. I tell you this from the bottom of my heart.

First and foremost, proof such a being exists.
When I look at a building, how do I know that there was a builder? I can't see him, hear him, touch, taste, or smell him. Of course, the building is proof that there was a builder. In fact, I couldn't want better evidence that there was a builder than to have the building in front of me. I don’t need "faith" to know that there was a builder. All I need is eyes that can see and a brain that works. Likewise, when I look at a painting, how can I know that there was a painter? Again, the painting is proof positive that there was a painter. I don't need "faith" to believe in a painter because I can see the clear evidence. The same principle applies with the existence of God. When I look at creation, how can I know that the Creator exists? I can't see Him, hear Him, touch Him, taste Him, or smell Him. How can I know that He exists? Why, creation shows me His existence. I couldn't want better proof that God exists than to have the creation in front of me. I don't need faith to believe in a Creator; all I need is eyes that can see and a brain that works: "For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse" (Romans 1:20). If, however, I want the builder to do something for me, then I need to have faith in him. The same applies to God: "Without faith it is impossible to please Him: for He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him" (Hebrews 11:6). You have your brain to know He exists but you need faith if you are to have fellowship with Him. (Adapted from the Evidence Bible). Watch "Evolution Vs God" -> www.evolutionvsGod.com 1 Like 1 Share |

Watch "Evolution Vs God" -> www.evolutionvsGod.com When I look at a painting I know there is a painter because I have contemporary examples of painters painting. If I wished I could commission a painter to paint me a work of art. Similar with a building. In this god case there is no comtemporary example of a universe being created nor can you commission any type of god to create anything for you. It is good you that you acknowledged that your god idea is faith because you do not need faith to engage a builder or a painter, just get out your money or chequebook and they will readily oblige you. Your god on the other hand can be besieged with unceasing prayers night and day to no avail and when your prayers fail the standard response is god works in mysterious ways. If any builder or painter took your money and failed to deliver you'd immediately term him/her a fraud but with your god idea it is excuses upon excuses. Intuition is not proof, please try again and this time bring proof not conjecture. |

Op I'm sorry about ur health condition,I wish u recovery.
I don't think think there is anything to be confused about, there are three options you have
One,if you think the prayers is working then I would challenge u to stop taking any medications, stop visiting the hospital, believe the bible hook line and sinker and pray earnestly to Yahweh to heal you, come back and give us the testimony if you are alive. Two,if you want to use your brains the logical thing to do is to be committed to your medication, that is the best shot you have to live longer,Stephen Hawkings should come to mind, no matter the prognosis there is always a chance that you would live Three, keep on taking your medications but at the same time engage in prayers, whether earnestly or not.The challenge with this is this, assuming you get better you can never be certain if it was the medication or the prayers. And this is a huge problem we face today,Christians know that medicines are reliable, but they can't vouch for prayers, that is why they would always take medicines when they are sick at the end,God takes the glory for the work of the drug.
I would urge u to take either the first or second option,if you take the first option and you get better then you have found the answer you are looking for, provided it is certain that the treatments you have received so far can not provide full remission of the illness. If you take the second options no guarantee you would get better but based on evidence that is the best chance you have and that is why you explored that option at the first place. If you take the third option and eventually get better you would always remain in dilemma, not knowing whether God contributed to your recovery or not. As regards the "feelings" you have after prayers, you should know that every sickness has a psychological component, prayer operates at that level, but when you undergo an examination that is when you can say for sure if there is any positive effect on the sickness or not
P.S. christians shouldn't be too excited on this thread, you people should encourage him to stay off his meds and focus solely on God so that when he is healed we would be sure that it is solely Gods intervention,me on the hand I'm encouraging him to focus completely on his meds, depending on the sickness and the quality of healthservice he receives he can get well, but I have a problem with you christians who want him to also be getting medical attention, you obviously do not have full confidence in your remedy system but I'm not surprised of course. |

And even all your fellow atheists and the likes couldn't come to your aid, but it was the same God whose name you blasphemed that healed you via a lady who afterwards told you to go back to God.
You must not only do that but also testify to fellow atheists as your former self that God which they don't believe exist healed you when all doctors and physicians couldn't.

OP If you want to go back into believing. You're fine. Atheism is not a religion or ideology where anyone is forced to be part of.
In fact, 'Atheists' is just a plural word for a group of people who don't believe in God. Asides that, each Atheist you find is very unique from the next one.
People become Atheists for different reasons. Most commonly, due to open-mindedness and the lack of presentation of a proof. You seem to have found yours, which is good. Of course if I was also proved to that god does exists, I would begin worshipping him again.
But two things you should know;
1. Medicine is not an exact science. 2. Anecdotes are not proof. So while your story seems extraordinary, I have no reason to believe it. 2 Likes |

stefanbanach: I'll make it short. I first left Christianity in 2011. It didn't make sense to me. I became an atheist and took a deep dive into the world of philosophy. Last year, I was diagnosed with a life threatening disease. I have spent money trying to get my health back but no way. I have severally gotten to the point where humans cross to the other side but for some unknown reason, I'm still alive.
January this year, the sickness worsened. It paralysed me and made me useless. I struggled to get good healthcare because I couldn't work for money due to my bad health. I resigned and decided to be patient for death. I called a few foes, made peace and prepared myself for death by reading books on nihilism and absurdism, fantasising about the blissful state of non-existence.
One day, a concerned neighbour came to my apartment, she is very much aware of my irreligious nature. She asked to pray for me. Me I no send am because I don follow people pray tire. I told her I was not interested. She told me that I only need to close my eyes and say amen. I reluctantly agreed. She laid hands on me and prayed. After she prayed, I felt different. I started breathing properly, My palms and underneath my feet which were always white as snow became red due to the inflow of blood (there's poor circulation of blood in my body). I was shocked. I couldn't believe it. I spent my whole night questioning the rationale behind the incident. I was able to walk and do my morning exercise the following day and afterwards. The lady told me to go back to God. I decided to give it a try. I went to her church just once and stopped.
Months later, The problem returned. I hadn't gotten a job and I needed money to get medications. I became depressed. My sickness worsened due to anxiety. As usual, I prepared for death.
This night she came again and prayed. Now I feel better.
The point of this writeup is, I'm running mad here. What is happening? I've read tons of books on organised religion and I detest religion. But I recognise the need for man to seek spirituality.
What is going on with me? What is special about that lady? Can anybody give me a concrete explanation for this? Does this woman have the special gift of healing? I'm not a fan of the mysterious. Hello there. I'm a Christian. The gift of healing and other such spectacular miracles is no longer being given. So, believers are no longer able to mediate such miracles. But God still heals people miraculously today, not least in response to the prayers of believers. This is what the Bible teaches. I cannot speak to your experience. What I find hard to believe is that you could be healed by having anyone lay hands on you and pray. We believers can beseech God for all manners of intervention on behalf of others, and He does grant our requests sometimes. But it is not at all as though we can decide when He will and when He will not. Or how He will even. That is all I can say from the Bible here. As for your attitude to God and spiritual things, it is as you say: man cannot escape the reality of God. Atheism is a lie that pretends that what is really isn't. But beyond recognizing the existence of God, we are here on earth to decide how we want to be toward Him. Are we going to submit to Him and believe in Jesus Christ and thus be saved from the Lake of Fire for eternity? Or are we going to persist in rebellion against Him and spend eternity in the Lake of Fire condemned by a Holy God? That is the choice you are faced with. It is what Christianity is concerned with. Whether it is from this ailment or from old age, whether it is now or several decades from now, you, like every other human being, will eventually die. Unless you become a believer and live to see the Second Advent. For this we are all supposed to be ready all the time. Once we shed this mortal body, we face the consequences of our fundamental choice in life. I encourage you then to make the right one. Cheers. 1 Like |

Science is the now and the future. All religions will die, including yours. And I, for one, would not mourn it's passing. At least you'd agree with me that you've never heard from anyone that you're proof-blind to God's existence before. You already believe that God exists, since you believe in science, and science itself is a proof of God's existence, for without the existence of the creation of God, science would not exist. And without the existence of God, the creation would not exist, for science to exist. For science only exists because of the creation of God, for science creates nothing but depends absolutely on the creation of God to be able to do anything. So without God science can do nothing. By the way you said that you believe air exists because it can be measured and scientifically demonstrated, so did you actually know that there was a time when science couldn't measure and demonstrate the existence of air? Therefore would the fact that the capacity of science had not developed to the point where it is able to prove the existence of air mean that air doesn't exist? So why not wait till science is developed to the point where it's at least able to prove God's existence or the otherwise before you start drawing unfounded conclusions that He doesn't exist as if you have scientific proof of that already. |

What explanation do you want again. God just used her to prove to you that Jesus is real and that he still loves you. If you don't take advantage of this opportunity and get back to serve God with all your heart. The next time it happen, you will die and see yourself in hell. And it will be a big regret for the rest of your life. |

stefanbanach: I'll make it short.
Bros coman continue your osogbo weed thread. It is interesting. Moreover try to differentiate weed highness from reality next time. Or maybe do away with weeds for now. |

This is the real confusion season 2
Genesis 11:7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech.
A morally sound individual should always add value to the one who needs it. |

Go back to the Lady, appreciate the gift of God in her life, be open minded and ask her what you seek to know, while doing so drop all your belief, they may be your blockage; they are shocking the word of God you have received. Christianity is as simple as believing by faith in the redemption work of Christ and conducting your life according to His word. |
