I honestly believe hiring the best script writers, actors/actresses and directors etc doesn't really guarantee a movie to be a success.

It goes beyond that. God of war have a story, a rich story for that matter than can even reval GOT but casting the wrong actor might collapse everything.

Make the movie first oga.. even if it's gonna be a flop, I bet they would recoup the money before the audience gets to find out it's a flop.

With so much anticipation surrounding God of war..if the movie is made today, with little hype and paid reviews..they must have recouped the money via cinema tickets and online streaming services..(thats if the movie should flop which is unlikely).
