Yes they share information. My advice would be to apply for EE but come out clean. Attach an LOE explaining the reason for your refusal and why you did took this action and a promise you would be honest and truthful henceforth if given a chance.

The VO would use his/her discretion to decide your case. The best that would happen is you get PPR and sin no more, the worst that would happen is you don't get PPR but you would not know the outcome if you don't try.

dalobaba:
Hello,

Thanks for being here. I want to start the Canada Express Entry process and I have a burning question to ask. I heard America embassy shares information with Canada Embassy and I will like to know where I stand before proceeding.

About 3 years ago I was denied a US visa. In the application, I claimed I was married. My bad! (I was single and i’m still single). I want to know if I won’t have any issue with proceeding with Canada Express Entry as a single. I’m so qualified for the Canada Express Entry, this is the only thing holding me back for now. Please clarify. All the best

Daring initiative. I would have signed but my application is still in consideration by CIC, too risky. I think it is unlikely the petition would have any effect. It would take a revisit of policy to change this, not just a petition and it will be a long bureaucratic process. Besides there is a huge number of people in the pool who have score 7-9 in writing, so there is little incentive for the change. But at least your petition stands a chance. I would advice you find other ways to boost your score to 7 or 8 since that is more within your control than waiting for your petition to gain momentum and perhaps incite a change.

All the best to you in the process

I concur with this suggestion. Relationships are very transactional in the West. Perhaps that will help, a kind of negotiation

GloShare:

The cousin has probably told someone from his immediate family who advised him to discard the other family and probably the applicant in question.

Being a Nigerian, I know issues like this are rooted in the belief that "this person can't do zilch for me."

I never suggested bribe, however I advised a give-and-take situation which will be mutually beneficial for both parties. Many of us have friends because we give and take from them. Nobody likes to roll with a parasite.

BTW, this lady has probably spent a lot on the journey to this point, she should be willing to do what she can, including 'scratching the sponsor's back' in order to get him to make the call. This is today's reality, thus, she should be willing to reach a compromise.

What stage in the process are you?

If it is pre-ITA, withdraw the profile, revoke your GC key if you like and create another, it doesn't take up to 10 mins to do that. Or you be patient for a day or two and check to see if the scores have change.

If you are post-ITA, raise a CSE and attach LOE to explain your decision and why. The VO will take it into consideration and recalculate your score

kaylov12:
Hello fellow Nairalanders, i really need clarifications on how to update my profile to spouse unaccompanied. I actually am on Crs of 449 with spouse but 461 without spouse. I changed the spouse accompanying answer of my profile to NO but no change in crs score. Although my spouse's info has disappeared, just my profile appearing. But the first page still shows transferable points from spouse.
Long and short, what have i done wrong? I hope i won't have to withdraw my current profile to start again? I have February profile creation date.
I NEED ANSWERS PLSSSSSS

Correct advice!!!

majamisile:
Now that I am all caught up, i do like to just state something that could be of help to someone out there. Please try to tick all provinces as a potential settlement province if you haven't done that already on your EE profile especially if your CRS is a bit below current draws as it seems the latest style of provinces is to pick directly from the pool. We saw that with NOIs dished out by Alberta some weeks ago, Ontario some days ago and I just recently learnt that Nova Scotia did same for 'Early Child Educators' just yesterday. It is important to note that this has never been Nova Scotia's style as they previously operated the first come first served style. We don't know which province may decide to do that next and the NOC they might be interested in. I wish us all the best. Hope we all are enjoying the holiday?

Thanks anyways. I ain't following through with the petition, just want to have an idea of badly people fall short of the 7 band score in writing

I swear, no be small generational quarrel o, the tales will be passed down from generation to the next. It might be those family members that pretend to believe and support your dreams, secretly hoping it fails, when the dream is about to click, they comot hand. So sad!

Congrats to every one getting their PPR now and in advance. Please is it through USA and Canada share Visa informations I have a valid US visa and while filling the form i claimed a different job title from what i used to get my ITA for express entry. Would this be a problem? You guys know how one man business can be like....you can be doing 5 different roles in a company. Lol
Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by ladymarshall: 4:01pm On Jun 05, 2019
@ bolded is the easiest part of this journey. Just to read page 1??

Personal research is so important pre and post-PPR.

Note that no one was born with EE knowledge, the people answering the questions also read indepth too and sometimes research before they answer. Make their job easier by reading and researching the answer first before asking.

ednut1:
Even though some people are asking questions they can get on google or searching through nairaland its better to ignore than call them out. Its not easy digesting all that page 1 info. If you are worried about page size truth is there is nothing new again as every thing are on the older threads.is that not how a friend already in canada said i should use iqas for ECA only to find out on nairaland i had a cert WES evaluate and i could use for 2 or more degrees. Iqas refunded me but my 35k transcript and 13k for posting of certificate was lost. Let them ask biko

You speak truth. It also makes mockery of the selfless efforts of those who painstakingly arrange page 1 to make navigation and reading easy. But don't worry we will all learn. Where we are going is an information society, it will force us to learn to maximise google, urls and other similar search tools, if we don't cultivate the habit now.
spinner500:
This thread is fast degenerating. Let me reiterate that if we continue to tolerate all these simple questions whose answers are already embedded in page one here, we might not get anything meaningful from this thread again. It was @Ralphrulz who first made this observation here and it seems we are not taking steps to address this reality.

There is no how anybody would jump into this thread and understand its content without having a measurable grasp of the famous and loaded page one. How do we explain that people are asking if MOD IDP is a fraud? Meaning of WES? What is ITA? Haba!

While I appreciate the fact that we are all ready to help but let us make our job here simple.

This is just an advice.

Does the website (or any public online source) show that he is a director? If no, unlikely.

But these decisions come with risks. If he decides to take the manager route, he must bear the risk of the possibility of bg checks. Also he should seek HR blessings too.

Queencyco:
Thanks a lot! He does not want to use the self employed route because of its requirements.
The letter head downstairs not carry his name as director.
His fear is the background checks that cic might run. Won't it show that he is a director?

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by ladymarshall: 4:24pm On Jun 05, 2019
Check your NOC and see if it has a post-high school requirement (ensure it is Noc 0, A, B). If yes, you can use it. But there are no guarantees, it's entirely the VO's discretion to approve or disapprove, bear that in mind.

COPR:

You've two.options if calling, emailing or contacting them on Twitter/Facebook fails:

Ask your school to send the SoR or you courier it to WES via FedEX/DHL.

School refuses to send the SoR, I guess I will have to go to school and see how I can get the certificates then courier it to WES. I'm afraid of sending the SoR and not get any results
Thanks.
