I don't see Cameroon beating New Zealand. NZ will actually win by 2 goals.

Our main obstacle may be Chile. Thailand can concede 5 goals in just the 1st half.

There are still 2 slots available, if chile takes one then falcons will take the last slot.
They have up to 95% chance with this latest outcome

Cameroon omly need 2 goals
Which 2 goals? undecided Cameroon only need to win 1-0/2-1 or the likes & avoid having more than 2 yellow cards in the game & they are through while in the case of New Zealand who hasn't gotten a single yellow card in their last 2 games only need a one goal margin win & straight to QF.
Now if Chile also wins Thailand by 3 goals margin and avoid more than 2 yellow cards in the game they advance or better still they win by 4 goals margin & qualify straight.
So looking at the above one of CAM or NZL is bound to win after 5pm kick off and Chile taking the remaining spot after the game at 8pm. I really don't see NGR qualifying so the girls had better pack their bags and be ready to get back home & save themselves unnecessary analysisundecided

Good to know. We are as good as through. I will be surprised is Cameroon beat NZ. It will not even be a draw. NZ will win.

you need to know that Chile have not score a single goal in this tournament which mean they might have a very poor forward. For them to score 4 goal will be hard .

Super falcons has qualified then. The strikers however, need to hone their skills.

The Super Falcons camp was thrown into wild celebration yesterday night when Argentina scored from the penalty spot to tie their game against Scotland 3-3.

The draw improves Nigeria's chances of qualifying for the second round of the ongoing FIFA Women's World Cup.

Argentina were given a penalty, which the Scottish keeper saved, but the referee ordered that the penalty should be retaken after VAR showed that the Scotish keeper's two feet were off the line before the ball was kicked.

This is a small portion of a 5 minutes long video. You can see the players and coaches jubilating in the hallway.

Table of 3rd placed teams. The teams with A beside their names have already qualified for the 2nd round.

Both 3rd place and 4th place teams in Cameroon's group can still qualify! Both play each other and any that win with high margin will qualify. So the table should contain 7 teams

African mentality... Why will Cameron be hoping to take Nigeria's place and be the sole representative of Africa? Why not hope to take Argentina's place as the 4th team and advance with Nigeria to the next stage so that Africa will have two representatives? If they win their game, they should also pray Chile vs Thailand favours Nigeria. It's not a sin to have 2 countries from Africa in second round. Na wa

I would be chilling for the mention wink. Do you realise SCO vs ARG game last night wasn't given reasonable extra time despite the ref wasting time on the PK issue. Imagine if they were given 8mins we won't even be considering NGR qualifying grin

I had hoped these jackasses spend the time of this silly celebration on the practice pitch learning how to complete a common pass of the ball to their teammates. I have watched all the matches played by the falcons, only four players: Nnadozie, Okeke, Chikwelu and Ordega have shown the flair and trait of intelligent soccer.

grin Bruh! You dey vex ooo. Well the Falcons deserve everything they have coming their way, including a first-round elimination tonight, for failing to step up in this tourney. The Mercy Akide-led Falcons of USA '99 would be the most pissed by the the national team's tepid showing at this Women's World Cup. They be like : Where is the fight, guys

Actually, members of that generation have been this generation's biggest supporters. Some of the players from that generation have been at the stadium to cheer the Falcons and Mercy promised to be at the stadium if the Falcons qualify for the second round.

In fact, Mercy Akide-Udoh posted a video of she and her chidlren celebrating Asisat Oshoala's goal against Korea. It was a crazy celebration.

Perpetua Nkwocha has also been a big supporter of the team. She's following the girls on Twitter and Instagram and always dropping words of encouragement.

2 OUT OF 3 permutations favored NIGERIA advancing to the 2nd Round after FRANCE'S VAR VICTORY: CAMEROUN v NEW ZEALAND DRAW OR (1:0) VICTORY FOR NEW ZEALAND, SCOTLAND v ARGENTINA DRAW, OR CHILE v THAILAND ENDING DRAW OR AT MOST A TWO-GOAL MARGIN VICTORY FOR CHILE.

LUCKILY, ONE OUT OF THREE HAS BEEN REALISED (SCOTLAND v ARGENTINA).

COMPLEXITIES INCLUDE
A) 1:0 VICTORY FOR THE CAMEROUNIANS WITH LESS THAN 1 RED CARD AND LESS THAN THREE YELLOW CARDS ISSUED AGAINST CAMEROUN(THAT EQUATES TO CAMEROUN QUALIFYING AND NIGERIA'S ELIMINATION PENDING OUTCOME OF CHILE v THAILAND BECAUSE CARD OFFENCES WILL BE USED TO SEPARATE THE TEAMS AS CAMEROUN CURRENTLY HAS 5 YELLOW CARDS WHILE NIGERIA HAS 7 YELLOW CARDS WITH ONE DOUBLED AS A RED).

B) A 2:1 VICTORY FOR NEW ZEALAND WITH LESS THAN 8 YELLOW CARDS AWARDED AGAINST THE NEW ZEALANDERS(EQUATES TO NEW ZEALAND QUALIFYING AND NIGERIA'S ELIMINATION PENDING OUTCOME OF CHILE v THAILAND BECAUSE CARD OFFENCES WILL BE USED TO SEPARATE THE TEAMS AS NEW ZEALAND CURRENTLY HAS ZERO YELLOW CARDS WHILE NIGERIA HAS 7 YELLOW CARDS WITH ONE DOUBLED AS A RED).

Cameroun still get a chance to qualify. Technically, they just need to beat New Zealand to qualify. However, I still like our chances. Because for us not to qualify, then Cameroun would have to beat New Zealand by 2 or more goals and Chile would have to win by 5 or more goals. The chances of those two events occurring is possible but not likely.

Cameroun can possibly beat New Zealand but, hopefully they will play a draw. And what about the chances of Chile winning their game by a 5 goal margin? That isn't exactly out of the realm of possibilities considering that they playing the group's whipping boy, Thailand. Folks, we need prayers!

Bro it's so annoying that is why I hardly comment when any of our national team are playing on world stage.

I ain't no much time sitting with calculator calculating the *if's* or game factor *x* at all. The NFF should wake up and shake up to do something sensible.

You are correct with the assessment of the USA '99 team but Nigeria has come a long way from '99. In this same time of the year, Australia was a doormat. However in this tournament, Australia has grown to be regarded as one of the favorites. The same can be said of Canada. Africans simply prove what they have regarded to be; very unprogressive group of ninnies. It really annoys me.

More sickening when you see the same trend play out in the men's game time and again. Africa simply doesn't care much about her own growth and development.

Why must we always find ourselves in situations like these? We always wait for someone's downfall to be successful. What is there if we succeed on our own!

This country called Nigeria though. Our things are always different. Nigeria is just a joke seriously! grin grin grin grin

This tournament is tough. The French game was controversial. A draw would have seen us through. Still having a chance in this tournament is a good outcome if u aak me.
