LadySarah: I think in mosts parts of the world where monarchy is practiced, there always solutions to situations like this. But you saying some traditions has to change makes no sense at all, you have no right to ask for or even say that. Who made you the decider of what traditions to stay and one to change? People of today, due to their supposed wokeness that's turning the world upside down, keep giving suggestions where their opinions are useless, they want to fight for everything both what they know and what they don't. 1 Like |

babyfaceafrica: Yea the world is a global village but the wickedness that people exudes now is just much, just imagine this one now.if you know the background of your would-be spouse it solves 1001 issues concerning marriage. Some of the problems people face generally are oftentimes root related but we keep on shouting love asikwa love asighi. My daddy will often tell I and my sister that if we like we should decide to marry from the end of the world that he must go and ask first about the immediate family of our would-be spouse.that iju ase in igboland for instance shows that background is important in marriage.Love matters but it is very quick to disappear in an unconducive environment. Marry from your village, state or tribe even religion sef it helps solves mall small matters first.i have my values as an Igbo lady and a Yoruba lady or Hausa lady has their own values too and so are the men too.I will align easily with my Igbo in-laws easier than a Yoruba in-laws, there are exceptions anyway shaa.anyway we all have preferences and choices but I just said my mind. 3 Likes |

Don't worry the heir will appear. Trust women she is monitoring everything happening and will tell her son the story. I am suspecting I am the heir though as my mother's story are inconsistent 1 Like |

Hisduchess: Marrying someone from your village or tribe does not guarantee a happy marriage. True love, compatibility and understanding is what makes a happy marriage. You may not believe in true love, but it exist and it never dies. 3 Likes |

Hisduchess: I totally agree with you and your dads views especially the iju ase tradition. It saves a lot of troubles. This modern generation will be shouting Love but many can't maintain marriages. The ancient pathways laid out by the elders, are still the safest paths to follow. |

babyfaceafrica:very true, when u marry from ur village, ur in-laws r always nearby so the man or woman will think twice before misbehaving and family members are always near enough for quick intervention if need be. for example in my village in idoma land, it is believed that if a woman commits adultery, she will die of a mysterious illness, her husband too will die and the male children too, i use to have this promiscuous babe, she fvcked all my village friends and some cousins, to my surprise she was adamant the last time we met, infact she refused to meet in a private place, I later learnt someone had paid some money on her head for marriage, I gave this instance to my neighbour but she laugh it off as superstition, her hubby is southern Kaduna while she is plateau, she fvcks around whenever he goes on special duty. 1 Like |

Ladyhippolyta88: See, there's a big difference between an ordinary Igbo man and a King in Igbo land.....the first wife accepts wholeheartedly if the king wishes to have as many wives as possible. He is a king and would need an heir some day. As for what's wrong with inter-tribal marriage??... nothing, until something like this happens. 1 Like |

Osagyefo98: Even if they married from same community, the heir/boy could still be in America never to set foot on the soils of his village again. When the boy is ready, he will come back home to trace his father's people. Though that doesn't mean he will want to take up the throne of his forefathers. 1 Like |

OdefaGirl: When did igboland start having kingship aunty I thought the igbo system was more acephalous and republican than any. When did igbos start having kings? What if the fertility issue is the kings fault should the Queen cheat on him since according to you there is a difference and the man should not love his wife but marry another did they not have an heir they had a child and were not childless now so what has happened after that. Even if he married an igbo woman from his village a bad wife will always be a bad wife and will still do worse if she wants to. Stop playing tribal sentiments because I have seen couples from the same place with many issues worse than this.Nothing is wrong with inter tribal marriages you don't tell people whom to love is the late man's wife not Yoruba why did she not abandon him and take their son away?Since inter tribal marriages things like this are bound to hapoen So life happens anywhere 1 Like 1 Share |

agulion: I disagreed bro it depend on family beside some tribe infact my own tribe from the East are the major problem in Nigeria intermarriage due to unecessary tribal hatred. I know some bollocks descedant of hitler will go any lenght to make sure that boy never return. The beautiful free hearted Monarch married a Yoruba woman(Adebimpe) and their only son married Edo woman pls lets stop pretending they won't want that boy back because tribal hate brew in our gene. Truth is bitter. Only God knows the immense presure the king must have gone through and only God knows what the hell the Edo woman faced before she ran for her life forever. Truth is bitter we know ourselves with our strange tribal hatred. I know I have offended them and bruisec their ugly heads but i give no damn i will say the truth till i breath no more that boy wont be allow to mount the throne quote me in the next feew weeks that i said so. Ordinary marriage between unknown people that involved Igbo and other tribe its a war talkless of a king I'm a living witness and I know what I'm saying. Over to the angry and bruised ones. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Caseless: But the king had a son now. What if it is the kings fault the health issue you mentioned Or what if they decided to have one the king had no problem with it or loved his wife dearly not to think of marrying another So many questions |
