Go there every day, and also pray. They don't accept walk in for priority, except they have few appointments on the day (meaning some people might have opted for super priority or had a walk in before their appointment date). Always stay till noon, you could have your luck.
Walk in costs an additional 42k which you pay with your card.

There is no harm in trying both uk and Canada. Your age is young, and a great advantage for PR based Canada immigration. UK is great for its point based certainty with no much hassle. It can also be a great starting point because it may be easier to access. From Canadian exp of me, a place that I live, give both a shot. I meant outcome on visa application. She did biometrics (priority) on the 3rd of Jan but received the non straightforward mail on wedsday

I have been denied visit visa to UK November last year.
Wanted to go for Xmas and use the opportunity to check out schools but I didn’t mention the school part in my application.
Hope it won’t be an issue because of the previous denial ?
