Bro, are you speaking from a cinematic perspective or from a historical angle?

Your points are contradictory.
Because saying that the army wasn't weakened before the act of betrayal is for Cinema dramatisation, you don't expect the principal actors to be killed off without any climatic effect, do you?

From a historical perspective, the pass was always going to be overran even if the whole 300 Spartans and 5000 allies were defending it.
They can only hold on for so long and knowing how vindictive Greeks warring regional states are, the defeat of the 300 will happen before they get their acts together and unify their forces.

A bit of both. History bridges some of the gaps left by the cinematic perspective.

Did we watch the same film?

first, the hunchback never tried to dissuade leonidas from going to war, but rather, betrayed leonidas and his men after leonidas rejected his attempt to join the ranks of the 300 because of his deformity.

I never said anything about the hunchback dissuading Leonidas from going to war. By not listening to hunchback, I meant not giving him heed or listening to his plea to join his army, alright.

Stay out of trouble and do whats necessary to succeed, and you will realize you are in the place to be.
Black Lives Matter? you people are being used.

Now we await the complete overhaul of white super heroes.

Botham Jean was an accountant in one of the biggest auditing companies in the world. He was shot in his own house by a white policewoman. The policewoman was not arrested until public outrage and black lives matter.

Atlanta Jefferson was a pre-medical graduate. She was shot in her own house by a white policeman who wasn't bothered to ask questions first.

Both were successful and kept out of trouble, which you recommended. Yet, they still died

Please, I am not seeing the point that you made.

Office Space (1999)...7/10
Genre: Comedy

Cleverly written comedy about the day to day hassles of office life. Those under paid employment would definitely dig this. From the horrific morning Lagos traffic, to every other shenanigan that goes on in the office/workplace, this flick captured it all.

Acting was good all round & cinematography was quite ok.

This is clearly not a kinda comedy flick for everybody. If you enjoyed Steve Carell's sitcom, The Office , then go ahead and see this.

Out of the Furnace (2013)...6/10
Genre: Action, Crime, Drama

How far would you go for family?
A bit of a slow burn, thought provoking flick. Though i found the plot a lil bit wanting.

A fine assembly of cast(Hollywood's finest), they all did deliver, but Christian Bale stole the show as always. Cinematography, soundtracks & editing were all accomplished with utmost professionalism.

Although the flick seriously lacked the action bit, as a Drama, it truly delivered.

Please, let us use common sense.

I was addressing the issue of American police brutality with regards to an American comedian's Netflix special.

Please, do not engage in "whataboutism". The issue is American police brutality.

If you want to talk about Nigerian problems, do that. Let us not join separate issues and argue whether the apple is worse than an orange.

Dear sir,

If I recall, I was not talking to you.

Neither was I talking about Nigeria's problems.

I was talking about Dave Chapelle's Netflix special. I was talking about an American issue from an American perspective.

If you want to talk about Nigeria's problems, please be my guest. American issues and Nigerian issues are two separate things. Let's not engage in whataboutism.
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by MJBOLT: 5:42pm On Jun 17, 2020
use your common sense and address the issues facing us too and let the americans face their own issues.i'm sure if americans and europeans start chanting "northern lives matter" you lots will jump on it.

Sir,

Why the aggression?

Did I tell you that I cannot address Nigerian issues?

Did I tell you that I am not American?

ANYBODY WHO CAMPAIGNS FOR BLACK LIVES MATTER WHEN WE'RE DECAYING AND BARELY SURVIVING IN OUR OWN COUNTRY IS A BLOODY FOOL AND A HYPOCRITE.
WHAT IS MY BUSINESS WITH GEORGE FLOYD WHEN SARS ARE KILLING YOUNG MEN EVERY DAY IN MY BACKYARD?

Fight Back to School (1991)...7/10
Genre:Action, Comedy, Romance
Language: Chinese

One thing i fancy about Stephen Chows' works is that, they're all laugh out loud materials with no shortage of slapstick humor nor ridiculous comedy scenes.

Script was ok, so was acting & the rest of the lot.

In the flick, Chow plays an undercover rookie cop sent to a school to find a cop's missing handgun. If you fancied Kung Fu Hustle" and "Shaolin Soccer do check this one out.

Sir,

Calm down. The insults and aggression do not look good on you.

What makes you think that I'm not in the USA right now?

Or what makes you think that I havent talked about Nigeria's problems before?

Everyone should be allowed to support whatever course they want as long as it is legal.

But then, shouting #blacklivesmatter as a Nigerian could be synonymous to observing Halloween when you don't show up for masquerade festival in your village.

Have you heard of the name Tony Timpa?
He is just one of the many people killed by police officers that the mainstream media never bother to cover for days, have you stopped to ask why this is so? Cos he was white.
I will put a video of how a was killed below by the police.
Have you heard about Gilbert Collar a white teeneger that was killed by a black police officer? The Black officer was cleared of any wrong doing.

Police reform? Now we are talking. This is what we need to address cos both white and black are victims of police brutality.

But Black Lives Matter? How come we did not have a nation wide outrage when a 10yr old black girl was shot in the head in her home. No her life did not matter because she was shot by a black man.

The problem is police brutality, one of the 3 police officers that watched a knee Mr Floyd's neck was a black police officer, the Minneapolis police chief is a black man, he would have let it slide if not for the state Attorney General who is infact a white man.

If at all the Black Lives Matter was a legit movement, its now been hijacked that's why I don't take it seriously anymore.

Paw Patrol and Gone With The Wind was taken down.

They had better start taking these other movies

RoboCop
Django (the remake with Jamie Fox and SLJ)
Bad Boys 1 2 3
I robot
Sherlock Holmes
Get Out

And every cop movie and black slaves movie that made it in Hollywood (more like the SJWs)

The next Clark Kent in Justice league will be a black law student.

BLM is only a tool for division, the sooner you realize this and identify the specific problem and fix it, sooner wounds will heal.

Dear sir,

Why are you lying? Tony Timpa made the news. It was an unfortunate event.

The rest of your comment is just whataboutism and conservative talking points.

Stop listening to grifters like Candace Owens and other coons who hate their own black race.
Re: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by NaijaMemes: 6:28pm On Jun 17, 2020
I have made my last comment on BLM. My aim was to address the Dave Chapelle Netflix Special. Those that want to address Nigeria's matters can do so by themselves.

Enough derailing.

Peace to everyone.

The Perfect Stom(2000)...7/10
Genre:Action, Adventure, Drama

When mother nature rears its ugly head, the effects are often very devastating, she invariably strikes without any iota of mercy.

Based on the true story of six brave fishermen who fought for survival with all their will, skill and doggedness against one of mother nature's nastiest hurricane on record.

Remarkable acting from the fine cast, you basically feel empathy for everyone of the six. Script was strong, & the special effects were jaw-dropping. Like synchronized swimmers, the soundtracks were in pari-pasu with their corresponding scenes.

An edge of the seat burner it was. Definitely worth the time.
