Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C have been announced and are Xiaomi’s newest budget smartphones following the Redmi 9. Both the phones share a few features in common such as a waterdrop display and a large 5,000mAh battery. But they are also quite different in terms of design and hardware. Notably, the Redmi 9C is the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset, beating the Realme C11 by a few hours as the latter is also expected to launch in Malaysia today. The Redmi 9A, on the other hand, happens to be the first smartphone to be powered bt the MediaTek Helio G25 chipset.

The Redmi 9A is priced at ($85/N--) whereas the Redmi 9C will set you back by ($100/N--).

Now, this is a budget phone. The absence of a USB type c can suerely be overlooked at that price range. This is the ultimate second phone ✔️

Please, any Xiaomi seller, I'll like to buy the 9C. Someone please quote me. It is time to try out what you guys have been hyping.

Well, the G85 in Note 9 is faster than the SD665 in Note 8. The Mali G52 is better than Adreno 610 in Redmi Note 8 as well.
The 665 is only slightly more efficient due to the fact that it's 11nm.

If it turns out that these devices comes with usb type B charging port..
Take it from me, the redmi 9A and 9c are not worth your money.
Get the redmi 8A instead if an entry level xiaomi device is what you want.
If you can go a bit higher, go for the redmi 9.
Now, all these is pending that the redmi 9a/9c are coming with usb type b charging port.

Considering buying this phone from jumia. I discovered that when I wanted pay from other banks it doesn't go but when I use Gtbank it goes fast. What could be the cause?

Let me give you expo. USB type C is more convenient and lets you transfer data faster and most important, it is very durable.

At $100 dollars the 9C is a steal. Concerning the USB Type C issue, I think that won't be a problem. It's listed as Type C on Kimobil and GSMArena.

If indeed it comes with the Micro USB type B, it's still an upgrade to the 9c is still an upgrade to the 8a, more cameras, better SoC, fingerprint sensor. At that price, I don't see the point of giving up these 3 things for the type of charging port.

Correct the Redmi Note 9 has a better SoC than the Redmi Note 8. The only cons is that it's less power efficient but that's compensated by the larger 5020mAh battery so it has better battery life and the second major caveat is the lack of 4K recording in the Native app but you can get it using third party apps like Filmic Pro.

Xiaomi fans are always demanding for perfection and are quick to call other brands trash due to lack of minor featires. Now here's Xiaomi back tracking from Type C to ordinary micro USB and they're all quiet...
