Hi, am a fashion designer and 99% of my customers are from my Instagram page I decided to open a physical shop last month. A week after opening my studio the local associations task force came to my studio and I show them my cac certificate. Since then they have been a threatening my studio. They gave me 10days to join the association or my studio will be sealed.
Lawyers in the building, what can I do.

Police won't help either. Its like u don't know how useless npf are. Those asking u to write a lawyer please dm them to give you lawyer's money, this is a useless country we live in, to survive in this country learn to survive without getting into trouble or involving the police. That's why yahoo yahoo will keep trending because no one cares how u make it. Don't be deceived by those comments "legit pays legit pays" for this country no one send u, if u like legit pass abraham them go still worry u. This mornion tundeednut page there's a poor woman destroying her shop when police came to arrest her. What could she have done, a poor woman struggling to survive yet police came desturbing her. I wish i sabbi yahoo yahoo, those that know how to do it have no idea how lucky they are.

It's not by force to join, their real motive is your contribution which will eventually be looted by toothless old men and women who have eaten all the possible aseje in this world , you don't want them to go spiritual on you either ,

keep posting them , make legal steps in the background and if those two don't work , you may have to join the association

Do you register your company through a lawyer? If so, contact him/her for legal counsel..

Do not succumb to their threat, see a lawyer first..

Lawyers in the building, what can I do.

From your first sentence, 99% of your customers are online.

Then why did you open a physical shop?

Do you intend to get more customers from the physical shop ?

I think you need to do some evaluation.

Is the physical shop really necessary?

At the moment the physical shop has attracted some "enemies" so you might need to engage in a battle to keep the shop running.

Now ask your self is this battle necessary?

Now you may need a lawyer, who will pay for the services of this lawyer?

I think you need to choose your battles wisely. Count the cost. At the end of the day you will know if it's worth it or not.

Note:

You can still do business in a physical shop without a sign post or any form of display on the outside and trust me nobody will disturb you.

Just ensure that your customers can locate you and your workers can work from there you are good to go.

Wisdom is profitable.

@OP which state+area are you in Nigeria.
Get back to me for a link to authorization from the Ministry of commerce & industries that will stop them from the association's incessant stress.

Thank me later.
Best of wishes.

We are not living in the mafia days. Get a lawyer and face them squarely.
