Weird stuff... Started with some hard-core racism, I was thinking that was the plot sef... Until some weird animals showed up and started eating people...man's has not even digested that one then came the magic and opening gates to the garden of Eden... WTF

One never knows what to expect, which will keep the show intriguing... I like

Yep, they have a weird mix of genres.... But I gotta give that Title to Doom Patrol season 1....DP gotta be the weirdest shi_t I've watched from a Series...the genre was a mish mash of different genre and styles of storytelling, making it unique in it's own way.



If you've watched it before Lovecraft Country you won't be surprised much...

Doom Patrol plot is not all that messed up compared to Lovecraft Country.

After watching episode one, there was hope. If they stuck to the theme of racism and inheritance and mysterious creatures....maybe they might have a chance of survival, but they are trying to do too much . Stick to the three themes and run with that. Everything else about adam eve and space and aliens and etc is all garbage.... Wetin dey do hbo sef

Doom Patrol wey na cos of him non conformist style of genre make many people no like am at first....even some hardcore DC fans don't like it. And they always state it's weird or bizarre storytelling drove them away.

Doom Patrol season 2 is more normal and less confusing...... The premiere season was the shi_t that's why I loved it.
From Sci-fi, To Supernatural, Comedy, Horror, Drama, To Homophobia, and mental Health.... Doom Patrol season 1 touched on everything there is....

I think your bias is with Lovecraft Country cos of it's HBO Origins...it's good tho no doubt about that. I just don't see Anything Novel about it... Probably I'm already acquainted with something similar from Doom Patrol and American Gods(lil bit more like Lovecraft but with copious sex and Nudity )
