Good morning everyone, my name is Gbenga and new here. I am interested in starting a PGD or Masters with NOUN. I don't know which of the programme would last 1year for a post graduate in Information Technology and also for someone interested In peace and conflict studies.

A response to this would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
If you have PGD Information Tech, M.Sc. Information Tech will be a course you are qualified for. Duration for the programme is minimum of 2 semesters.
As for Peace Studies, PGD. Peace Studies is OK. Duration is also a minimum of 2 semesters.

Thank you for the feedback, quiet helpful. So does a PGD last same time as a Msc in terms of duration.

The question has been answered earlier. The duration of MSc Information Tech is the same with PGD Peace Studies, that is, two semesters. Some Masters Programme cannot be completed in two semesters.

Alright thank you for the response. One more question is about referee, I initially thought it was not going to be needed for a PGD in Piece Studies considering it's not a masters and also look at the difficulty in getting 2 academic referee from where I finished from which is quiet a long while back. Any additional information about submission of refrees and how they would be contacted.

Thank you once again.

Referees are required for all PG students either Masters or PGD or PhD.
I don't think they are quite strict with that. Use anyone familar with your academics, not necessarily your lecturers.

The issue of change of Study Center is officially on hold at the moment as the Management has stopped all requests for change of Study Centre about a month+ before the exams.
All applications for change of Study Centre will only be attended to after the exams. So, Immediately the exams is concluded, resubmit your application if possible and we will take it up from there.

Dear experienced colleagues, which category of students, postgraduate or undergraduate, are eligible for seminar presentation?
What are the differences, if any, between project defense and seminar at NOUN?
Thanks.

Seminar presentation is for all categories of students.
Seminar presentation is done in all study centres but Project defence/presentation is for only PG students excluding PGD and MBA. And Project Defense/presentation is done only in Lagos, Uyo and Abuja Study Centres. Meaning all other study centres are to converge in those three zones.

I have not got any information as regards this programme. A quick search on www.nouedu.net courseware still shows no course listed with ENT code at 800L. This is not a good sign. If the programme is ready, they will be course materials for it on the courseware. Maybe we should look for the Dean/HOD's contact and reach out to him/her for clarification as the SPGS may not have all the information about that. In I do further finding on this, I will relay here.
Cheers.

make sure all you documents are in a single PDF file. You can convert to pdf online like someone here suggested, then merge them together as a single document. If you need help on this, send me an email enskynelson(at)gmail(dot)com
