I'll stop for like six(6) months without endulging in it. But once am down I see myself in the act again.
It has been filled with ups and downs all dis years.
Anytime I endulge in it the aftermath is filled with regrets, guilt, shame and loss of inner power.
I always fill sad and empty afterwards.
I really don't know what to do again, I seriously need help. My relationship with God is as take here.
Pls help a brother.

I went through same too..But it's the side effects that made me to stop,I mean I had no choice than to stop..See an,don't mind those that will tell you there is nothing wrong with masturbation..It took me many years before the side effects start..Till date I still suffer from most of the effects.If I dare masturbe today the next 4 to 5 days will be hell on earth for me..So my brother, the only way to stop is get married, otherwise the effects may stop you and it's not funny.

I believe praying and fasting has helped you significantly, but you stopped thinking you had overcome it.

Why stop?

You don't stop. You never stop. Even when it appears the thing has left, because it would return when you do because the flesh is weak.

Have you never heard the saying "pray without ceasing"?

Don't worry about the ups and downs. The only thing is that you don't settle for being down or give up.

As I said, don't stop till the point when you begin to see that it has left you. Even when it leaves, you still don't stop but continue to do the things that got you to that point to maintain the new level you're now walking on.

The number one cause for your problem is idleness, I've work with people that are worse off than you, try not to be idle at any point in time, if you notice that you get tempted easily when you are alone try being around people, if you are unemployed look for some business to do, no matter how small. Getting married may help, but I've heard of married people masturbating too.

Secondly, learn to tell your inner man NO!

Do not listen to all those telling masturbation is a sin they are all like the treachers of the law and pharisees that Jesus condemed. God created Adam and Eve naked it was sin that made them to feel unclothedness is a sin.
