If you can, go to Abuja. It wasn't crowdy when I did my biometrics. I had thought I was going to pay 42k for flexi, but I got biometrics appointment within 48 hours of applying so I saved my 42k.

Pls which location did u choose and what date did u get?

This is how it is written on my Cas:
“English HEI sponsor has made assessment using West African Senior School Certificate with a grade 6. The student is deemed to be competent to a minimum of CEFR Level B2 in all four components.”

Am sure this is written on everyone’s CAS as long as u applied with ur WAEC. If this is true, has everyone been uploading his/her waec for visa application?

You can upload your Waec, not necessary as the school has already accessed it, but upload regardless

UKVI only uses one website for currency conversion... ...Oanda .
Forget about the rest, it doesnt exist in UKVI world

I am curious to know what documentation or site told you to calculate it this way.... it just for my curiosity as I see it as a comment frequently on NL (to put end date for CAS even for dependent application)

Or are you putting wrong date, it going through but that then flags as a problem later down the line, maybe in renewal time that the IHS was wrong ? . Did your school tell you to calculate it this way?

Yes, the application will be denied if the funds are less than what you require.
The student visa requirement is different from visit visa requirements, it's not concerned with activity or inflow into an account.
The money required has to be in the account for at least 28 days before an application is submitted online and if this rule is not met, it's an auto refusal.

So, this means my partner and I would have to prove that we both have £15,327?

That is, partner £1023 × 9 months= £9207
Me £680 × 9 months = £6120

Totalling £15,327.

The scholarship funds are insufficient. The student, your girlfriend, has to show £1,023 monthly * 9 months for maintenance (excluding fees which should already be covered by the scholarship) while you as the dependant, will need to show £680 monthly * 9 months. You'll have to support the scholarship letter with your bank statement showing the cost deficit for at least 28 days prior to your application.

Also, for you to apply as her dependant, you will need to provide variety of documents to prove that you've lived together and that you've been in a genuine relationship for the last 2 years. This usually includes and isn't limited to, joint account statement, joint utility bills, account statements showing that your addresses are the same, driver's licence showing both of you as living at the same address, evidence of things you've paid for together, and joint tenancy agreement amongst other documents.
A cover letter detailing how you met and your relationship specifics is also advised to enable the ECO understand the relationship in relation to your application. Each case using this approach will be treated on a case by case basis.

In my opinion, you'll be better off joining her as a married partner as proving that you've been in a genuine relationship (in this context) in a country like Nigeria is usually difficult because it's not commonplace for partners to pay jointly for bills, rent and the likes. This makes it difficult to get the required documents to prove this.

Is there any reason why you aren't committed enough to marry her but committed enough to travel with her? Are you making the application in order to circumvent the student visa rules after you arrive the UK? Sorry if these questions seem intrusive but these are some of the likely questions that will likely occur to the ECO seeing as there's a large pool of Nigerian applicants and in most cases, this kind of situation isn't the norm among Nigerian visa applicants.

So, this means my partner and I would have to prove that we both have £15,327?

That is, partner £1023 × 9 months= £9207

The onus of the visa validity isn’t supposed to be on the applicant, it’s not written anywhere, I think it’s wrong just adding 4month automatically, it’s not for you to add but home office, IHS will always charge you 705(fee for 1year 6month) if the cas in 1year and 1day, so nobody cheating the system there, so it’s better to just use course start and end date when filling application

I think you should use the exact expiry date your school gave you. After all what's requested is "course start date and course end date."

Pls o I need response from those that have submitted their application and or gotten visa.

Was O/level not mentioned in ur CAs? And did u upload it in ur CAs? Or is it only my sch that mentions o/level in their CAs?

After mentioning my various degrees which I have uploaded, my waec was mentioned like this:

“........English HEI sponsor has made assessment using West African Senior School Certificate with a grade 6. The student is deemed to be competent to a minimum of CEFR Level B2 in all four components.”

Does this mean I should upload it? Meanwhile everybody used o/level and I have not heard of anyone that uploaded it.
