And you think that you're anonymous because of a moniker you use on a forum? Guys around here will unmask your identity for free. No matter what you shouldn't have allowed that to happen worst of it all is you posting it on the web, the poor man entrusted you with his wife (even though that's wrong in itself) and you ended up betraying his trust. You are not even remorseful instead you're justifying your wicked act with who honor and virtue help

Even though you're doing a bad job at justifying this, I think Airmark shouldn't bring things like that here. How the fvck did you even share something like that in the first place?

Meanwhile, this is a football thread, your sexual life is none of our business abeg.

I shared the experience on a thread, some even thought that it was a lie self, let the matter rest he keeps bringing it up

Instead of him to focus on his matter, he is doing angel of karma on top another man matter

Immediately they asked Conte about Matic and he said he didn't know anything about him that they should ask the club, i knew there was a problem.

Na that VVD own pain me pass. Imagine, we had to go and bring old Thiago Silva, just because Rudiger was useless.
It is very painful.

I have a question guys.
How does the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger, Harry Redknapp, Guus Hiddink, Vicente Del Bosque, Jupp Hyckenes, Marcelo Bielsa, Carlo Ancelotti & to an extent Diego Someone & Jurgen Klopp able to keep their players in check from revolting against them?
How were they able to manage unhappy players causing unrest in the dressing room ?

Is it because they were older /experienced coaches?
Or because they handled their players transfers separately as against what we've been experiencing at Chelsea, where the board meddle in the transfer business?
They had much power in the affairs of their clubs than modern coaches like Guardiola, Mourinho, Conte, Pochettino, Tuchel etc

I could recall when CR7 & David De Gea pushed for moves to Real Madrid but Sir Alex maintained his stance & relegated them to the bench for few matches before recalling them.

The club respected the opinion of those coaches because they were serial winners and the business side was not bad either while winning. For example, you see how Klopp has won the heart of Liverpool owners by playing good football and also winning with less spending, so players have maximum respect for him, they are loyal to him.

You just need your board to back you 120%.

For example, at United during Ferguson's reign - no player ever earned more than him. He was always the highest paid in the dressing room. Only Wenger has a similar but smaller level of clout in club football. The rest of the other guys have to play club politics. The likes of Klopp and Simeone due to their success probaly have higher levels of clout at their clubs than their counterparts in world football but only due to their success with percieved underdogs imo.

I think you made a mistake grouping Wenger and Ferguson with the other names on your list. No other elite managers in football can even come close to replicating what these guys did in their time. Ferguson wey use football boot break Beckham head at the peak of David Beckham's success? grin Please dont mention that mafia boss with the rest of the other names you mentioned.

It boils down to money. Players are big investments and on high wages now so their power increased. In past days a club can even rip up the player contract if he misbehave or send him to the reserves and don't mind if his value drops because it's not a lot of money to lose

It is not just one thing.

The era in which the old timers coached was different. Players didn’t make so much money and definitely not when they were young. Nowadays it is hard to completely obey a coach when you have 10m social media followers and endorsement deals coming out of your ears.

Secondly, success. If you win titles and make money for the club that gives you a level of cachet with the owners and fans that players can’t mess with.

Lastly, personality. Some people are great man managers and have a natural understanding of human nature and behaviour and some aren’t.

My view is in line with what Nihilistjnr and AfroDoc stated the structure and circumstances surrounding football business have changed significantly in the past Managers have maximum control of the affairs of a football club with little to no presence of Technical Directors/Director of Football. Presently the structure and circumstances have changed with players now wielding maximum powers due to their marketability and political influence, a player/group of players can wreck a club/manager by well calculated move so it's in the interest of managers to have them on their side if they don't have maximum support from board members/owner.
Managers who have absolute power over their players these days are due to the fact that they're excellent man-managers with proven track-records or they make it known to the owners that they would like to have full control of footballing decisions prior to their hiring eg Pep Guardiola at ManCity and Ralf Rangnick
