If u are familiar with the route, it not far, It's jus a straight road from Ikeja Along to Katangowa... If not for traffic one would be there is less than 30min

Why build such a market for electronic goods? Why not a more sophisticated looking mall for the 21st century? This looks like a place where you go to buy livestock not SSDs and laptops.

The construction according to the contractor, would be completed in record time. Former Governor Ambode laid the foundation of the modern ICT Market some years back while the current administration is working round the clock to complete the project.

The computer Village in ikeja would be relocated to this location upon completion while the buildings currently occupied by this market in ikeja would be returned to it's residential status. Currently, the Katangowa site is being used by the okrika clothe sellers. This okrika market ranks the largest in Africa. Several people from far and near do visit this market to buy first grade wears and shoes. These okrika sellers would now be relocated to Amikanle/Alaso area of Lagos soon.

Hmmm. They need to build something befitting and work on the traffic/Road network cos Abulegba is far. Nobody has time to be going there like central ikeja district.

Computer village cannot stay where it presently is. That place was not in any way designed to be a marlet. It is causing a strain on the community and no sane government will allow it.


The problem to me is the distance of the old site to the new site. It will make relocation difficult but the government had tried to move the "market" to Ikeja along but it didn't work. This time, they might have to be forceful else, we are on the way to watching drama unfold

look at the pictures of the prototype behind the image of sanwoolu on that sign board. that's the look when completed and not the Makeshift shops you're seeing in the pictures. Those shops are currently in use by the akube cloth sellers who would be relocated elsewhere upon completion of the modern ICT Market. That place seen in the pictures would be the site. Most of the structures have attained window level. I'd share more pictures later so you can see.

Human beings are just wicked naturally, distance is the barriers because Kantagowa is far ask from the people selling in that market if they come from another planets or they are all ghost, may be there are shoppers plying the market.
