luluosas: Glad to be of help. |
@Kiggster Please, make no attempt to suggest anything on this thread.....unless you have tested it yourself. You are not a dev and neither are you a beta-tester. Like elegale said.......what kind of recovery is 308kb in data size. ![]() I sincerely hope that your not on a mission to aid people to inadvertently brick their fones. 1 Like |
Lawalmd: .....and you even tried to flash the said ROM. ![]() 1 Like |
Kiggster: CYANOGEN_MOD_7.2.0 84mb From this statement of yours, one can only deduce one thing.......you have no idea of what your suggesting/trying to do or trying to suggest. Flashing a ROM that is meant for a particular fone model on another fone model.......WTF!!!! 1 Like |

The news of the smooth way the practicals went, just went viral among the SS3 students that didn't offer Physics. They were now preparing for their danger subject....Mathematics. The students malpractice committee's representative came to consult with me...imagine......of the possiblity of me being in the hall and solving the problems on the board for them. I asked them to go and meet the VP Admin who takes them on Maths. They said, they wanted me to be there with him also. I told them, I am not cheap. I told them to go and tell the teachers in-charge of the malpractice funds to give me my share. Was I very bold then. I no dey fear anybody then. The teachers came and tried to persuade me to do it for the students for free, that they were my friends. I smiled and told them, I would only do it on one condition.....that they should return all the monies they have collected from the students based on the pretence that they would be assisted in the hall. They couldn't, I therefore had to insist for my own money too. The students pressured thier teachers to settle me so that i would be in the hall during the Maths exam. The teachers yielded and came to give me 5k, I rejected it telling them that the 5k was just a drop of money in the pool of funds they have collected from these students. They left. On the Maths exam day, my friend, a student also in SS3 came to meet me and ask me that despite what happens between me and the teachers...I should assure him that I would helpl him. I told him, barring any unforeseen circumstance.....that I would. The teachers came again, this time yielding from pressure from the students. They came with 12k, I accepted it with good faith. We were all cool now and waiting for the WAEC invigilators to arrive. They (2 invigilators - husband & wife) came on-time. I was still in the lodge then. The students were promptly sitted. They told the students that they have heard the school's malpractice stories and they were here to curtail it. The students laughed, thinking the invigilators were joking. The invigialtors now asked for the whereabout of the Maths teachers of the school. They promptly responded, that the VP Admin wasn't in the school and I(the corper) was in my lodge. They sent for me. I was thinking in my mind.....OK.....here we go again like in the practicals. I was now in their presence. The female inviglators told me in clear language.....that I have been given one day's leave. I should stay clear off the school's premises for today. I should not be seen anywhere near the premises. i should return to my lodge and stay there till the duration of this exam. I understood their language very well and instantly knew.....these invigilators that came are amongst the best in Cross-river. Money did not exchange hands with them. There is HOPE. 1 Like |
The D-day arrived. Physics practicals. The lab. has been arranged. The Principal was on site. I knew he wanted to spring a surprise on me but I didn't know what it would be. I could only guess. The WAEC invigilator arrived. He brought out a sheet from inside the famous WAEC GREEN-bag.....he called out my NAME.........I was to be the ONLY teacher that would be inside the hall. My Principal wanted to add another teacher, the WAEC invigilator strongly hesistated and said he is only going to work with the teacher whose name appears in his sheet....which was me. Need I say more, I was elated. I immediately bundled all the Physics students into the lab. Before the practicals were about to start....the WAEC invigilator promptly asked me....."what do you have for me". I told him...."sir, gimme a minute". I now asked the students, "how far". Lo and behold, they gave me an envelope containing 10k for the WAEC invigilator. I smiled and said to myself, "they indeed came prepared". With the invigilator's attention firmly rooted to now turn a blind eye. I now asked the students, where is my own......and they promptyly produced another envelope......with 7k. From there, we now started the order of the day....malpractice. I did the practicals, they all watched and copied my values with a lilttle variation. All went well. The students thanked me and the WAEC invigilator, I thanked the WAEC invigilator for choosing to work with me, he thanked me. Two days later, Chemistry practicals....ooh la la. The same WAEC invigilator...my name was also on that sheet too as the practical instructor. My principal was there to hesitate, the invigilator insisted on me, the students also insisted on me......the rest na the same. 1 Like |
Anyways, maybe he had some premonition that I wouldn't be available, so he organised a teacher from outside to take them on the extra-classes. I was meant to purchase the laboratory apparatus that was meant to be used for the practicals, @least i would have made some little changefrom there. My Principal denied me that right.......was I MAD. My students were already in gear and high spirits for the examination malpractice....imagine.....asking me for my support, without no inducement, when they had already contributed some staggering amount to the malpractise fund and none of it had been given to me. I was double-MAD. I bluntly told the students, if they require my assistance in the hall, they had better talk to the teachers in-charge of that fund, so that they can remit my share to me. |
I served.....in Ikom...and I very much enjoyed my stay there even though I did not stay in the school lodge. I stayed in Ikom town and I was coming from there to the school everyday..@least everyday sha. My Principal and I were always @loggerheads, always threatening to reject me even though I was half-way through the service year. I always called his bluff because i knew that he bribed my Zonal Inspector so that he could have a corper that could teach Maths, Physics, Further Maths and even Chemistry. I was the perfect candidate and despite all my flaws and weaknesses in the teaching system, he still wouldn't let go off me....just like that until he had a replacement, which wasn't forthcoming. So, i was King in the school. The community loved me, the teachers loved me and the students loved me even more. Though my Principal had to love me by force because of my classical way of punishing students. Thats another story for another day. I handled Maths for JSS 1 - 3 students and handled Physics for SS1 - 3 students. During their Mock exams for the SS3, I was ruthless with them, no copying, no sneaking in textbooks etc. They really heard it from me during that time, but I knew what I was up to. I knew the students had contributed money for examination malpractice to both the teachers and the Principal.....they taught they could sideline me from the cash windfall. I pretended that nothing was amiss. My principal had already submitted my name before hand to WAEC as the teacher that is going to be responsible for the Physics practical. i didn't object, afterall, I was the only Physics teacher in the school. lol. My principal instructed me not to travel for the holidays, that I should stay and organise extra-curricular classes for the students. I bluntly told him that I needed 15k to sustain myself for that period. he looked at me sarcastically and never said a thing. Hence, i travelled and resumed when others were meant to resume. My Principal was livid. 1 Like |
This OP never see anything sef. His own is small compared to mine. Unlike you, I'm no saint.....I simply went with the flow then. I too served in Cross-river........Community Sec. Commercial School, Okangha, Ikom. |
joeydozzy: how do you guys hold yourself from these techno peeps? They have their own budget, you have yours. Because you can muscle out about 80k to get a high end smartphone doesn't mean everyone can do likewise. The basic thing is.....they are catching their groove on the android flavour. 4 Likes |

CODE-EATER: This....is the right other. Any other procedure might just land you in a boot loop. |
.......and 4ext is miles better than CWM or TWRP. |
Emmikem: How to flash Jelly bean ROM to ur g2 I just have to comment on this procedure. As correct as it is......the order ain't correct. Clean flash/install: You first have to wipe dalvik + cache & format system except sd-card before flashing the ROM and GAPPS This type of flashing is known as a clean flash/install. This flashing type wipes your phone clean...everything goes.....your contacts, SMS, apps...etc For a dirty flash/instal: You only format system except sd-card, then flash the ROM and GAPPS. This type of flash doesn't wipe your data, your contacts, SMS, apps...etc will still remain in your phone. This flash/install type only upgrades the android version and system apps you are currently using. After all said and done......both type of flashes are still practically the same thing. But a clean flash/install is preferable because, if a bug is noticed, you can almost pin-point what is causing the bug. (For those who have troubleshooting abilities oooh.) |
......which kain suspense dem wan bring again wey I never see for the previous 24 series. 1 Like |
