Politics / Re: Bago Aprreciates Niger Corps Members With ₦‎200,000 Bonuses by Relixy2k: 8:34am On Jul 03
Yes they all should. Even Lagos get plenty arable land in Epe,ikorodu, badagry, etc
damiloladuke:

Exactly my thought. All the states in Nigeria except Lagos, have arable lands for Agriculture. Let them all go back to farming and stop depending on tax from non existent/struggling businesses.

If there's surplus, they'll export. Government products will always sell... Lazy bunch on idiotts with slow thinking capacity
TV/Movies / Re: Multichoice Readjusts Subscription Prices For Dstv, Gotv After Court Order by Relixy2k: 10:40am On Jun 17
Everyone saying ohh good, ohh great. Is there any business person here selling anything at the old price before Tinubu came in? Is there any manufacturing company selling products at the same pre-Tinubu era? Is there any salary earner still earning pre Tinubu salary able to buy same thing with the same salary? All answers are No. DSTV don't have right to increase price because they buy fuel at the same pre Tinubu era, they buy utilities at the same pre Tinubu era etc because nothing in Nigeria is affecting them but only affect every other person. Everything we pay for has increased yet DSTV should stay the same. Let us be considerate in our analysis.

Politics / Re: How Much Is The Average Cost Of Feeding A Family Of 6? by Relixy2k: 5:29pm On Jun 02
Painful but a bitter truth. Many family of 6 sef plenty on less than 100k monthly. They eat only when they see food.
greenermodels:
Most Nigerians don't earn upto #200,000 per month yet they're feeding, clothing and sheltering themselves. The quality is what seems to depreciate rather than the quantity. Who else have noticed that 80-90% of fish barbecue businesses have shut down since Tinubu took over as president? Nigerians are feeding on less desirable, less delicious and less nutritious meals today. Everything about Nigeria reminds me of the novel 1984 by George Orwell.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Invitation For Interview At Tek Expert by Relixy2k: 10:44pm On May 17
For tekexpert, that pay for that role is usually fixed. Dont insist on a higher pay if they say is fixed except they agree to an upward review but kindly try at least but if their answer is no, make it clear you agree so as not to lose the job..
Wealthier:
Please help
Can one still renegotiate salary during the last interview stage . I got a first call and the recruiter stated the remuneration for the M365 role. I wasn't able to negotiate because he said that was the amount they're offering. So Is it possible to still renegotiate

But people in that shoe didnt fix their life to be that way and people above that are only more opportuned but certainly not always better.
PastorOlokonla:

70k less than $50 in a month is totally on the low side. That is what it means, how exactly will you survive on that in a month talkless of having children?
Business / Re: How Can Someone Survive With 300k In This Economy? by Relixy2k: 9:31pm On Feb 26
I understand you want to buttress your point. Millions of Nigerians earn far less than 70k not because of their doing but the situation. Anyone, including me who earn much higher, is not better than them just opportuned. Let's learn to be considerate while we make our points. Life is a two edged sword that swings anywhere anytime. No one knows tomorrow.
PastorOlokonla:

Point of correction, they are not surviving with 70k but living hellish existence on earth with 70k/month.

I will not wish that on my enemy.

Travel / Re: What Is Your Cost Of Transportation Daily From Work To House by Relixy2k: 6:52pm On Feb 01
Absolute no. How many jobs pay even 50k and above where house rent is lower like sango ota, Alagbado, inside inside ikorodu, Alagbole, Mile 12, Badagry, Epe etc. These are areas you stay for lower rent but most jobs there pay less than 50k so people going to ikeja, yaba, surulere, lekki, island etc where most 100k and above jobs are available do so because that is where the meaningful jobs mostly are not for any respect.
CAPTIVATOR:

Hahahaha

Perhaps maybe it's because people in this society respect you more when you are not easily available. Most people do that for the respect .

No matter the analysis never ever ever ever ever stake what you cant afford to lose in betting. As you are putting the money be aware you may not get it back so put money for leisure on it else such person is on his way to financial doom.
Hendrixky:
Football betting is a game of psychology intelligence and logic minus emotions and you will win your bet

In a game like this have it in mind that wether you like it or not some countries are football nation naturally
So avoid betting against such countries

Take for example in Africa countries like mali and Burkina faso are football nation

So if I were you stake all your life savings on Burkina faso to score one goal

Career / Re: 400k Salary, but nothing. by Relixy2k: 9:32pm On Jan 10
400k is huge. 89% of families both husband and wife in Nigeria combined, don't earn up to that amount doing legal jobs not referring to yahoo guys and other illegal guys ohh. You ought to be a millionaire even in this economy after 2 yrs plus of earning 400k monthly if well managed. Rent a place not more than 300k a year. Put your children in a school not more than 80k a term. Run from forex, betting etc. I assure you in just a year, you will have huge savings. No mind stories here telling you 400k is small. I can assure you someone on 80k who dream to earn 150k will come here to tell you 400k is small.

Career / Re: Japa: From Bank Manager To Skyscraper Cleaner by Relixy2k: 11:16pm On Dec 16, 2023
Japa is for someone who has no hope of geting job in Nigeria is an overly wrong assertion in all ramification. We import virtually all and naira keeps depreciating against the dollar hence with job, most Nigerian still suffer lack of access to basic amenities, daily dwindling capacity of people financially. No good road, poor light, poor infrastructure, poor poor and poor access to anything good yet you said who has job will not japa which means they love to stay in a doomed economy? Kindky explain.
Jewessgratitud3:
Soft life to hard life.

I guess when he got there and saw the pile of bills staring him in the face he had no choice but to grab the next available job.

If you are gainfully employed in naija, you don't need to japa. Japa is for someone who has no hope of ever getting a job in Nigeria. He'll appreciate any kind of job he finds there.
Career / Re: Can I Still Work In PWC Or Any Of The BIG 4 by Relixy2k: 2:44pm On Dec 12, 2023
The 2.2 is the issue. Till now, they still insist on 2.1 for any graduate or even experienced role. Aside that there are administrative unit, customer service unit etc that you can join with zero accounting knowledge only if you have 2.1. People are funny once they hear accounting firm, they assume all employees are accountant when many roles are there outside accounting.
IamWilliams:
Well done professionals

Please I need a serious advise on this

I'm currently a customer service rep in a major bank (full time staff and salary is 310k monthly) and i've spent close to 3yrs so far and aged 31. I have a BSC and MSC in Economics (BSC-2:2 grade, MSC-2:1 grade). Now, in recent time, I've been nuturing the idea of working in any of the BIG 4 with PWC been my biggest wish

Question is, Is working in PWC still possible considering that my background is just customer service or i should just forget the idea ?

Professionals in the house, I need your answer to this please

Family / Re: Rising Cost Of Living In Nigeria, What Of The Poor Among Us? by Relixy2k: 1:22pm On Oct 01, 2023
People keep talking about the poor and I keep wondering is it the same Nigeria we are talking about? Like the rich is a huge chunk of the population and this depicted poor are just a fraction of the populace.
Kobojunkie:
■ You dey read at all? The changes are for the betterment of the country not just the section of the country that is poor. It is left to the poor to choose whether rise or die at this point. Nigeria cannot and should not keep lagging all for the sake of the poor. The poor need to step up. undecided

2. Well, if people continue to live as they did before now... multiplying like rats, and living foolishly--- of course suffering will remain their lot. However, if people decide to finally cut coats according to their size --- commonsense --- then their is hope. I am not against the poor but the country was not built only for them and the poor need to help themselves at this point. undecided

You got it wrong, you think you know it all but you just lost a job opportunity because of over Sabi? Most front desk positions are contract jobs with affiliation with the principal organization. There are position you can not get through the HR until you have been employed before the HR will collect your details from your employer. If you can call back, call and apologize. Kakawa discount house is on the island and probably the recruiter has his office there.

This number 093011467 called me with claim that she is from First bank that I have an interview for a Receptionist role with email Adeola.Abass@firstbanknigeria.com and copied adeolu.adebari@firstbanknigeria.com and also omowole.p.orimoloye@firstbanknigeria.com. They use real first bank domain address and official signatures. However, the address is 35 kakawa street lagos island as against the real 35 marina road, lagos island which is the genuine address of First bank in marina. They sent a well addressed mail to me for front desk office role. Name on true caller for 093011467 is ikechukwu. Kindly take note when you get invite from them.
