Nigeria: God Feeds the Sparrow By: Deji Yesufu If you are not aware of how difficult things have become in Nigeria, it is probably because you live under a rock – or something like that. Those of us in the real world, who must transport to work and school, are having to come face to face with high cost of goods and services. Nigeria’s economy, like most countries in the world, is closely tied to the price of fuel. Fuel is the only means of transporting goods and services around the country, and a slight increase in the cost of fuel, leads inevitably to increase in the cost of goods. The Nigerian government has increased the cost of fuel by 400% since the beginning of this administration, such that we now buy fuel at almost a thousand naira now. The resulting effect is that the value of the naira is perishing. In fact, I have not seen twenty naira around in a long time. Fifty naira is also becoming increasingly worthless. There is no end in sight for all these. Is there any hope for this country? To answer this question, I’ll relay a scenario next. I am a pastor, although I work a secular job full-time. In the course of my ministry I meet with many missionaries. These people are usually supported by friends, family, and churches. There is one common denominator about these people: they don’t live under Nigerian economy. No matter how difficult things get, these people never complain. Why? Because the Lord is their helper and provider. Now this may sound like cliché but for these people it is not. They have tasted and they have seen God practically take care of them. The same way God sent manna to the Israelites over a forty-year period, is the way he sustains these people today. They have gotten so used to this manna-lifestyle that they almost take it for granted. Their rents are paid; their children go to the best schools; they build houses to retire into; etc. They live just like you and me, the only difference is that it is like Christ that pays them. The Lord called these people to ministry, and the Lord, not salary, sustains them. The One who feeds the Sparrow, feeds them. So, what about those of us who don’t live on this heavenly provision? How do we survive Nigeria? We survive Nigeria by also realising that the same God who calls some to full time ministry, calls others to full time secular jobs. Any legitimate work you do is spiritual service to Christ, and if you do it well you will find sustenance in it. It doesn’t matter what happens to the economy. Your work is service to God and God will bring provision through the labours of your hands. Let me lament Nigeria a bit and then bring this article to a close. Nigeria is what she is because our people despise work. This country is incredibly non-productive. What was meant to be a blessing, oil, has today turned out to be a curse. Nigerians learnt very quickly that if you cut corners, if you do gbajue, or, if you know the right people in authority, you can do very little and earn a lot of money. So, a culture of no-work and obscene laziness was instilled in us. I hear someone say, years ago, that for her she will prefer to work little and earn plenty. And that person remains despised in my eyes till today. Naturally speaking the Nigerian economy has dwindled this badly because this country is not productive. We produce crude oil but we watched as our public refineries failed at refining the crude. Government invests large sums in the NNPC yet they have not produced a litre of petrol in decades. They will rather go the long route of exporting crude oil, refining it, and then bringing it back to sell at inflated prices. NNPC is not working because every public institution in this country is near comatose. Nigeria’s public institutions will not work because people know they will earn a salary whether they produce anything there or not. This will never happen in a private entity and that is why the whole country now relies on Dongote. Now, let’s conclude these thoughts. God is the Father of all creation. As a responsible Father, God will provide for you. But he requires something from you. In Genesis, God created Adam and put him in Eden to work the place. As long Adam did his work, Adam found provision. Similarly, every single person has a field of work. For a baby, his duty is to feed on milk faithfully and to learn to walk. For growing children, their field of work is learning at school. For adults with jobs, their field of work is to be faithful stewards of whatever work God has set before them. Even people without jobs still have a duty to do whatever they are doing faithfully – no matter how small or insignificant. When you work at a place, your preoccupation should never be an increase in salary; you shouldn’t be spending your time looking for another job. Your preoccupation should be to do your work so well that it advances the system. Now, if that happens, there is the likelihood that your salary will increase. If they don’t increase your salary, someone will spot you as the brain behind a working system, poach you, and pay you better. But let your work do the talking, not your CV. Sincerely I cannot remember the last time I wrote a CV… I am my own curriculum vitae! One morning in March 2020, I was trapped in a foreign land. I was supposed to take a flight from Berlin to Lagos. When I arrived the Tegel airport in Berlin, I noticed CNN reporting that Donald Trump had banned all flights from Europe into America. I then had an incline that the delay we were experiencing with being checked in was not unconnected with that news item. Eventually Turkish airline told us that we couldn’t fly out of Berlin that morning. Turkey had banned all flight through their country because of the Coronavirus pandemic. They eventually booked me on Air France because France was still open. I was cold and hungry. I had no money. The institution that invited me to train at Berlin had borne all my expenses. I reached my younger brother in Lagos and he sent me N10,000 for breakfast. When I converted the money to Euros, it was almost nothing. I figured that when I arrive Lagos the following day, that money would be useful then. That was 2020. The naira has even worsened in value now and it will continue to get worse unless you and I work and are productive. The magic of the international market system is that a people prosper as other people bring foreign exchange to their country to purchase the goods they are producing. When you produce nothing, you earn nothing and you will be poor as a nation. Things are difficult, yes. But God is on the throne. God will feed those who work – that’s why missionaries without salaries are doing well even within this failed system. If you never knew it before, understand it now: the man that does not work will not eat. God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria! Lack of colour gets one nowhere even in the prophet's business." —Jero, 14 This shows you how they make themselves and their church building, both exterior and interior modern, how most of them now begin to teach entrepreneurship and so on. Also the kind of cloths and hair they wear. 3. "I am glad I got here before any customers—I mean worshippers —well, customers if you like. I always get that feeling every morning that I am a shop-keeper waiting for customers. The regular ones come at definite times. Strange, dissatisfied people. I know they are dissatisfied because I keep them dissatisfied. Once they are full, they won't come again. Like my good apprentice, Brother Chume. He wants to beat his wife, but I won't let him. If I do, he will become contented, and then that's another of my flock gone forever. As long as he doesn't beat her, he comes here feeling helpless, and so there is no chance of his rebelling against me. Everything, in fact, is planned." —Jero, 14-15 Just as a school owner, whether a university, high or elementary school, considers undergraduates or students as customers, a private jet pastor considers members as customers. They know how to make you hungry (dissatisfied) so you'll come tomorrow. For instance, Most of them do this now through telling you exactly what you're going through and at the same time trying to give you solutions. They'll say even if one measure of rice is N10000, God will open doors for you to buy bags of rice. But in reality, God has already opened doors for you since you have brains to think and learn, you have hands and legs to work, you can learn business, you can farm, you can make money. Remember you don't need to be a Christian in order to be rich. 4. "Yes, Father, those who are Messenger today, make them Senior Service tomorrow. ... Those who are petty trader today, make them big contractor tomorrow. Those who dey sweep street today, give them their own big office tomorrow. If we dey walka today, give them their own bicycle tomorrow. Those who have bicycle today, they will ride their own car tomorrow. ... I say those who dey push bicycle, give them big car tomorrow. Give them big car tomorrow. Give them big car tomorrow, give them big car tomorrow." —Chume, 20-21 Now compare this prayer to the prayer our private jet pastors do and you'll know that Wole Soyinka knew the game many years ago. Chume is now demonstrating what he has learnt from his master Brother Jero just as many are learning under the overseer private jet pastors today. Common sense should tell you that God doesn't need your money. Man does. Give your tithe to those who truly need help. I've come to notice how religious fanatics are often the biggest perpetrators of crime. In my secondary school days i was always chastised for my disbelief in God. As it turns out today, literally every male i passed out with delved into fraud and sorts, except 3 of us and i wonder who the real hypocrite is. They still taunt me at reunions and i laugh because i cannot say the obvious. On Friday, a friend of mine who used to be a very skilled sculptor but now a gee took me out on a spending spray after he just cashed out some millions, i won't disclose the amount. My friend is a staunch Catholic and never misses mass. He told me God answered his prayer. A lot of my friends are fraudsters and they same the same thing. Question is. Does the religion God really support fraud? Let's project it on a national scale. Religion is a major factor for electing rulers. Since inception of the country, rulers have been looting and they are doing fine, 90% of generational wealth in the country has something to do with looting and crime. It seems God supports it cause he ain't doing shi about it. Accountants rip off firms. Pastors loot ignorant disciples and fly private jets. The country runs on corruption and God ain't doing nothing about it. Churches and Mosques(Nasfat) will be filled up today with hypocrites and tomorrow the madness continues. |

In today’s digital age, many churches leverage social media and widespread coverage to enhance their global visibility. Led by young pastors, some of these churches have expanded their physical and virtual audiences, gaining significant popularity online. Faith Ajayi looks at some of these influential young pastors making waves in the digital realm. Jerry Eze Jerry Eze is the lead pastor of Streams of Joy International with over sixteen branches spread across Africa, Canada, the United States of America, United Kingdom, since its inception in 2013. He is also the convener of the largest online prayer meeting, New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declarations popularly known as NSPPD which he started during the Covid-19 period on YouTube and other social media platforms. He is said to be one of the youngest and richest pastors in Nigeria with over 1.2 million followers on Instagram. The impact of his media presence has reached global levels as a renowned global institution such as CNN amongst many others has rated Pastor Eze’s YouTube channel as number 1 in the world with factual statistics and as the second most viewed ministry in the world. NSPPD is also ranked as the most-watched live channel in Nigeria (Leading in all parameters: Daily, weekly and monthly) and as the channel with the most live viewers in Nigeria, amongst many others. Before going into ministry, he worked with the World Bank project on HIV/AIDS and the United Nations Population Fund as a Communications Specialist. In an interview with Sunday PUNCH, he noted the reason why he left his job with the UN. He said, “I realised that there could not be any higher calling than the call of God on one’s life. So, I came to the reality that purpose would always trump any human satisfaction at any time. It was extremely compelling to fulfil the desire of God for my life. When I weighed what I wanted and what God wanted me to do, I realised that destiny was much more important than what I wanted to do for myself. I left the secular job to do the work of God. Meanwhile, at the time nothing was exciting about it (the job). I knew I had a mandate to fulfil for a generation waiting to hear my voice.” Eze is married to Eno, a lady he met seventeen years ago. He made this known via his social media when celebrating his wife’s birthday in February 2024 in a now-deleted post. He wrote “To the little girl I met at 17 who has blossomed into a virtuous woman. To the young Christian, I knew who has grown to become a fireful vessel in the hands of God. To the shy girl I met who has grown to be a pillar of confidence and boldness. “Who would not love a woman like you? Onye Oma m from way back, a million words cannot describe all that I have in my heart but on this special day of yours, I pray may history be kind to you. May posterity remember you with joy. Our children – biological and spiritual all over the world will call you blessed.” The couple is blessed with two children Samara and Jerry (a girl and a boy). Femi Lazarus With over 1.3 million followers on Instagram, Femi Lazarus is the lead pastor of Sphere of Light Church and the Principal of the International school of Ministry; a platform through which he has trained ministers from more than thirty nations. Lazarus founded Sphere of Light Church in June 2018 with branches in Osun State, Kwara State, Rivers State, Abuja, the United Kingdom with its headquarters in Ibadan, Oyo State. The church which began at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Osun State in 2014 was then known as the ‘Friends of the Word’ ministry. He also founded Femi Lazarus Ministries Ecumenical, popularly known as FLAME, which includes other institutions like the Campus on Fire Conference, International school of Ministry and Flame Radio. Lazarus continues to impact lives through other platforms like the ‘school on the Street,’ which he founded to impact the lives of people and was recognized for his contributions. In January 2020, he received an award at the Royal Awards and Leadership Summit Ceremony hosted by the Ooni of Ife Foundation. In his bid to raise Godly people, he hosts a free mentoring program and conducts a weekly online bible study on telegram. He authored a book titled ‘The Final Move of God’. Lazarus is a Public Health practitioner by training from Obafemi Awolowo University. He is married to Miracle popularly known as Pastor Mimie who is a public speaker, writer, and a certified relationship, marriage and love coach. Their marriage is blessed with two children. Jimmy Odukoya: Oluwajimy Odukoya is the son of the late clergy, Taiwo and his wife Bimbo Odukoya. Jimmy is the lead pastor of Fountain of Life Church, Lagos. He has an active social media presence of over 571 thousand followers on his verified Instagram page. He started his acting career in the entertainment industry in 2016 with ‘Baby Shower’. He acted in the movie, ‘Woman King’ in 2022. Although well-known as an actor, he was officially ordained in September 2023 and later took over as the Lead Pastor of the church after the death of his father. In a report, he noted that although God had called him into ministry, he had no plan of quitting as an actor. “When I started, people said I couldn’t be a pastor and an actor together. They said the church and the world wouldn’t accept me. If God sends you somewhere, he will clear the path for you. I was there for six years in an industry that is hard to break into. From Nollywood, I moved to Hollywood. God has shown that with him, nothing is impossible. Now, he has asked me to do this (Be a pastor). Whether it’s production, behind the scenes, or in front of the camera, God will figure it out. Although I’m focused on the church now, that doesn’t mean I cannot act. Once an actor, always an actor.” However, after Jimmy was ordained, there was a controversy about his physical appearance contradicting his role as a Lead Pastor and whether he was the right person for the office. Addressing the controversy in an interview with BBC Pidgin, he said “God has called me into this new season of my life. All my focus is on the church. This new position is a big responsibility. As for my dreads, most people don’t know I can back up everything I do with scripture. As a pastor, I can tell you that God told Samson in the Bible not to cut his hair, which means long hair is never a bad thing. If you also say the pastor is keeping a beard, I can tell you that the Bible says that when Jesus was tortured, they pulled hair from his face. “If you say I am putting on earrings, I can tell you that when the children of Israel left Egypt and wanted to make a golden calf, they collected jewellery, earrings and rings from their sons and daughters. You should not use your personal opinion to judge me. A personal opinion is different from saying something is sinful. “Anybody can do what they want. In 2009, I was ordained as a minister and I became a pastor in 2012. I was the lead pastor of the youth church until 2021.” He added. Since he resumed as the lead pastor, he has been seen not only as a celebrated man of God but also for his philanthropic contribution to members within and outside the church. He is known for raising finance to support people even during church service. Beyond his ministry and entertainment career, Jimmy is also a motivational speaker, dancer, and fitness enthusiast. He has demonstrated a wide range of interests. In 2013, Jimmy married Oluwakemi Odukoya (nee Banjoko) in London and their marriage is blessed with children. Emmanuel Iren Emmanuel Iren is another force on social media with over 769 thousand followers on Instagram. He is the founder and the lead pastor of Celebration Church International in Ikeja, Lagos with branches in Lekki, Abuja, River State, Oyo State, and Canada. For a boy with a history in church, Iren served as a pastor at the Redeemed Christian Church of God for nine years, which he noted to have an indelible impact on his life. He started from being a drummer boy to representing his zone at Sunday school bible quizzes and at the age of 13, he preached his first ever sermon on a Sunday morning at Teens Week for his then RCCG branch. In 2011, Iren obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in building technology from Covenant University, Ota, Ogun state and a Master’s in business administration from the University of Lagos. While in school, it was said that he received his ministerial calling and began a fellowship known as Triumphal Youth Fellowship, which he inaugurated at the young age of 22, on November 11, 2012, and in 2014, the fellowship grew under him to become a church renamed the Celebration Church International. Along with overseeing the Celebration Church International, Iren also oversees an interdenominational bible training school called ‘Manifest Bible Course’ and a daily devotion platform, ‘Triumph30 Devotional’. As a man of many passions, he is also involved in gospel music and is known as a singer, principal songwriter and the founder of a Christian record label, ‘Outburst Music Group’. He first released his debut album, ‘Kerygma’ in December 2017 and has continued to minister in songs, featuring other gospel artists over the years including his recent song, Agalliao featuring Nathaniel Bassey. He also authored a book titled ‘Leading Seeks You’. Like some pastors, he, in 2023 was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Myles University, Benin Republic, as a recognition of his efforts and contributions to society. In April 2020, he was also recognised by the YNaija Church 100 as one of the 100 people who has made a great impact on the body of Christ. Iren is married to his heartthrob, Laju and their marriage is blessed with four children; Ruby-Grace, Nadia, Nasara, and Kairo Iren. Iren got married to his wife in November 2014 at the age of 24. Michael Orokpo Michael Orokpo who has 255 thousand followers on Instagram was born on March 1, 1981 (43 years). He is the founder and President of Encounter Jesus Ministries International in Abuja, Nigeria, founded on November 11, 2021. He also runs an online mentoring program on Facebook with over 77.3 thousand members in a private group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Pure Chemistry, a master’s in Physical Chemistry and a doctorate in Chemistry all from Benue State University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue State. He is known as one of the fiery preachers with a message of revival and deliverance. Although he started his ministerial work at a young age, he was officially ordained a pastor on May 24, 2019, and has continued to impact lives through the gospel. In an interview with Leke, the son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, Orokpo noted that he was caught in some controversial situations in his previous ministry, and has learned more useful lessons during difficult times than when he was having a good time. He said, “Where I was serving a lot of controversies came up. People told a lot of lies against me. I had to go and beg the authorities about four times. I pleaded and begged but things boomerang. I became so bitter against the people around me. I sowed seed and respected all people but they wanted me to go down. I began to wonder, is this a church? Is this the house of God?” But, in the midst of it, he remained committed to ministry so much that he still ministered a day after his brother’s death. Orokpo is married to his lovely wife, Osenaga Umobuarie. They got married traditionally on April 23, 2021, and had their white wedding on April 24, 2021, at Assemblies of God Church, Ugbowo, Benin City. The couple gave birth to a baby boy on February 7, 2022. Daniel Olawande Daniel Olawande is an ordained minister in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and the Lead Pastor at the Afternoon Church, RCCG Living Seed Church, Ikorodu. Other offices he occupies include serving as the RCCG Youth Evangelist and the current National Youth President, of the RCCG. P Daniels as he is fondly called coordinates the National Youth Representative Council and is a National Executive of the Pastor’s Seed Family, where he serves as the National Representative for Region 26 Ikorodu Lagos. He is also the President of Inspired Team International and the Director of the Flaming Network. He is a youth development advocate who is passionate about raising young people who will fulfil their purpose and impact the kingdom of God. As a result of this, he makes use of several platforms to awaken the youth and cause a revival. Olawande is the founder and principal of Flaming College, a mentorship platform to raise, build and equip people for all-around effectiveness. He is the President of the Flaming Youth Empowerment Initiative, an NGO with a mandate of empowering the next generation and becoming a beacon of hope. Olawande founded the Young Minister Retreat Global, in 2017; a 72-hour end-of-the-year meeting designed for young believers and ministers across the world with the vision of raising burning kingdom giants across several denominations. He is also the host of the annual Awakening the Giants Within conference for campuses with the vision of raising 360-degree leaders. Alongside, he is the convener of the Youth Aflame Conference, a conference for young Christian professionals. In terms of education, Olawande holds a BSc. in Biology Education, M.Sc. in Educational Psychology, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Theology. He also participated in the basic and advanced courses at Daystar Leadership Academy. He is certified by the World Creativity and Intelligence Team at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and an alumnus of the Texas Bible Institute, U.S.A. As a result of his global impact on the body of Christ in terms of youth development, management and empowerment, Olawade was awarded an honorary doctorate of Leadership and Management from Irgib Africa University, Republic of Benin. In addition, he was also listed as one of the 100 guardians of faith in Nigeria (2020) and a Special Marshal in the Federal Road Safety Corps. Not only is he an internationally sought-after speaker at churches, conventions and conferences, he is also a songwriter and music minister with a debut album titled ‘The Outpouring’. Olawande also acts and has authored different best sellers and transformational books like Fire Tonic and Burden Capsules amongst several others. He is happily married to Oluwanifemi Olawande and they are blessed with two daughters. Kingsley Okonkwo: He is the senior pastor of the David’s Christian Centre in Lagos with over 1.1 million followers on Instagram and over 514 subscribers on YouTube. He is popularly known as a relationship coach and has authored several books on marriage and relationships. He was born in Lagos into the royal family of King Rowland Okonkwo and Rosannah Okonkwo of the Obowo Kingdom in Imo state. He initially founded David’s Christian Centre as a Youth Fellowship in 1996 which later became a church in early 2000. That same year, he founded a monthly relationship seminar called ‘Love, Dating and Sex’ to help individuals and families build healthy and successful relationships. However, in 2005, after his marriage on September 3, the seminar was renamed, ‘Love, Dating and Marriage’. To impact the world outside the church circle, Okonkwo founded Heart and Mind Consulting Services in January 1999 to help individuals and businesses build healthy relationships in the workplace and at home. He also hosts seminars, training and conferences to equip coaches across continents with invaluable relationship coaching content. Aside from this, he also hosts annual seminars like ‘Manual’, which is an only-women conference aimed to help women understand what men want in a relationship; ‘Man up’, an all-men mentorship program; ‘Together Forever’, an annual conference for married couples and ‘International Family Life Practitioners Conference’, a conference for family life practitioners, coaches, counsellors and pastors. He is a member of the Forbes Business Council, an invite-only community that brings together accomplished executives and entrepreneurs from different industries. He is also a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors among others. He bagged a Diploma in Biblical counselling from the Light University, and an advanced diploma in Marriage and Family life coaching amongst others. Do not be deceived, the word of God cannot be broken. There are specific rules for Kingdom wealth ~ this is wealth that defies logic and explanation. Here are the keys. The points below are for children of the kingdom of God only. Thanks. 1. Seeking God. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and ALL other things shall be added unto you. To seek God means to devote time for the study of His word, consciously walking according to his dictates, living your life as a representation of him on earth (living as the salt of the earth), and pursuing the advancement of his Kingdom via establishment of souls. “Thou shalt remember the Lord thy God, for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish the covenant with he sware unto thy fathers ‘’ God is looking for people who would use their positions to evangelise for God. There are billionaires who are sunday school teachers, who are ushers, who go out for evangelism. People who would sponsor free medical outreaches under the name of Jesus. You must live your life in a way that people are confused about if you are a professional or a pastor. 2. Having a handiwork. God blesses the work of our hands, God does not reward the lazy. When you have a handiwork, then God’s power becomes a force multiplier, he makes things to happen for your sake, mistakes for your benefit, government policies for your sake, being at the right place at the right time. What people sometimes get as ‘luck’ would be what you constantly get as grace. 3. Honoring your father and mother. Honoring in this context doesn’t mean greeting them in morning, or standing up so they can sit, but TAKING care of their needs financially and materially. The bible forbids neglecting your parents with the excuse that you have given the money to God. The commandment to honor your father and mother is the only one that has a promise amongst the 10 commandments. It doesn’t matter whether your parents took care of you or not, it is their right, it is a universal law. It is not transferable to your spiritual father or pastor or prophet. If your parents are late, then the person who played the role of your parents is who you owe. Because your parents retain the power to bless or curse. 4. Your tithes and offerings! Can a man rob God? Yet we rob God by withholding his tithes! According to King David, it is a privilege for us to be able to give unto God, because all we have and acquire are from/for God. 10% of your income is God’s money. Babies in Christ find this aspect very controversial. So I will take you back to the Old Testament, offerings and tithes were the best crops and animals, and they were dressed, garnished, burnt and the smoke ascended up to heaven as their offering. I am sure the Israelites burnt dirt and refuse every other day, with the smoke rising up into the air, but there was never any controversy about if the offering smoke actually got to heaven or if it was like any other rubbish incinerated. God is not looking at the smoke or the 10% you have brought, he is looking at the OBEDIENCE and FAITH in bringing in your tithe. How much are you willing to let go off in obedience to God? Same example is giving in Abraham almost offering Isaac, his only son, the son of his old age! If you cannot release 10%, can you release your own life for God to use? Thus focusing on what the tithe is used for is beyond our pay grade, that money has been offered to God, 10% is statutorily God’s money. We are fortunate today that the money is often spent on running the church office, evangelism, crusades, tracts , care of the needy in the church etc. Because if we were still agrarian offering burnt offerings, ‘’leading researchers’’ would have told us how it was physically impossible for smoke to go past the atmosphere up to the heavens, and how our smoke from offerings was rapidly depleting the ozone layer, while jet fuel from private jets were not. But thank God we are not talking about laws of physics and chemistry. I have written so much about this point, because the devil actively targets believers by deceiving them, even using false prophets in our midst, leading to a situation where some believers pay tithes and offerings grudgingly thus missing out on the reward. 5. Giving to the Poor: Whosoever ever giveth to the poor lendeth to the Lord, and he will surely repay. The word of God also says that when we give our bread to the hungry, then in our darkness (or lowest point), we would be shining as the noon day, our barns or bank account will burst with plenty, and the glory of God will be on everything we do. Even unbelievers know this fact. Taking care of orphans, widows, prisoners, disabled, the elderly, children and other vulnerable groups are acts that God cannot ignore. When you do these deeds, you have to do it anonymously if possible, so that God will reward you directly. Alms giving with cameras flashing is hypocrisy, there is no reward for that. Ancillary points worth mentioning. A. God honors covenants. In establishing Abraham, he made a covenant with him and swore by himself, and all through his walk with the children of Israel, God always refer back to his covenant he made with Abraham, reaffirmed with Jacob, and again via Moses and Joshua. Some people have ancestors who have made covenants with demons of poverty, mortgaging their future generations in exchange for short term benefits such as long life, or protection from enemies- not just in Africa but in the western world too. This leads to their generations struggling without limit, you could see families where no one has built a house, no one has a car, or no university graduate - or the person who almost gets out of the cycle dies mysteriously. Those are demonic patterns. Or having strange expenditure as soon as money arrives. There are people overseas who are known to have incredibly bad luck, there is usually a covenant in play. If you have done all the above diligently and still struggling, then you need to address foundational covenants of hardship and poverty. How? a. Completely giving your life to Christ b. Intense fasting and prayers c. Meditating on and verbally declaring God’s promises of wealth and abundance. There is power in the spoken word of God. d. Deep deliverance - Fasting, prayers, deliverance exercise. No matter how dark that covenant is, engaging the power of fasting and corporate deliverance (praying as a group) is able to dismantle those satanic deals. Honouring the office of the priest, pastor or prophet. It is controversial, but it is true. Sowing in the lives of your spiritual parents attracts spiritual rewards. You will always receive a prophet’s reward, if you honor a prophet for the sake of God. There are special circumstances where prophet can overrule certain negative decrees operational in your life. Most notable example was Jacob cursing Reuben, and Moses overturning the curse on Reuben. Today we have people with diabolic parents who have placed curses on them, and these curses are frequently overturned by men of God. This is because man can cover their sins or hide their transgressions from fellow men. Women too on the other hand are very manipulative! Women tell lies, pretend, are conceited like their earth mother eve and also deceitful! This very nature is that of the serpent that was very subtle. How come do the daughters of Zion then have filth? Isaiah 4:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. where is the filthiness of the daughters of Zion? Lamentations 1:9 Her filthiness is in her skirts; she remembereth not her last end; therefore she came down wonderfully: she had no comforter. O LORD, behold my affliction: for the enemy hath magnified himself. Since a skirt is an under garment that covers a woman's private part, it is easier to say that this filthiness refers to sins that exposes a woman's unclothedness! To uncover ones unclothedness means to expose one or to commit a sin that exposed what is meant to be covered! Lamentations 1:8 Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is removed: all that honoured her despise her, because they have seen her unclothedness: yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward. The daughters of Zion are the beautiful Christian girls or sisters who attend churches all over the world. Daughters of Zion are also married Christian women all over the world. Daughters of Zion are any category of female or opposite genders who are termed weaker vessels! How then does this filthiness enter them? How did it enter them or how did it come into them? This filthiness is also one from the blood or by birth. This filthiness also is one that emanates from curses from a generation to another generation!!! The filthiness also is a work of a spirit in charge of filthiness. However , since the filthiness is in the skirts of the daughters of Zion, we itemize it as sexual sins, sexual behaviors, wrongful orientations, actions, attitudes, reactions or inactions that all encourage filthiness!!! Most of these things have to do with also the behaviour of Christian women to their Christian men or to sinful men! Let us know see some sins that promote filthiness!!! 1)ADULTERY: Adultery means sexual intercourse between married man and another married woman it also means sexual intercourse between a married man and a virgin . Adultery also means sexual intercourse between a married woman and a single man and a married woman and another married man! However, one thing that is so worse among the daughters of Zion is what what we call "ADULTERY OF THE HEART! Though Jesus Christ our Lord mention men as the first perpetrators , it also refers to daughters of Zion also who do the same things! Matthew 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. Just as a man look at women or single ladies or married women and either admire them without sin or lust after them in sin so it also appeals to the daughters of Zion also as a sin. It would shock you to discover that Adultery of the heart is committed more than Adultery on the bed!!! There are a lot of daughters of Zion who look lustfully at the man of God, at a fellow Christian brother, at a sinner, at a stranger man who is sexually appealing to them or attractive or masculine feature appealing to them! These daughters of Zion may be virgins claiming to be a Puritan in title but most of them have already committed adultery of the heart already numerous times!!!! These daughters of Zion may outwardly be strict, carry themselves with dignity, integrity , in character, but their hearts are a playground of filth. what they also see in their closets can expand their own appetites for filth. Many of the daughters of Zion participate in what we call filthy lucre. filthy lucre means doing things or teaching things for the sake of money or doing things in a dishonest or distasteful way because of money advantage. Here in comes the daughters of Zion and their own distasteful sexual appeal or dishonest sexual attitude for monetary sake Titus 1:11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. These kind of talks are seen among Christian women when they are grooming their younger women to manipulate men for dishonest gains or advantages! it occurs and then things continue to spiral out of control in influence, character, attitudes, behaviours which are against the scripture until they become active participants of immoral acts . Note: This can appeal to both the perpetrators or the victims. There is none innocent at any time . many Christian women speak or talk sexually loose because they were not taught by those who suppose to teach them godly doctrines about sanctification or morality! we cannot forsake the lord of righteous and live only by morality! 2)YOUTHFUL LUSTS: Youthful lust is that part of a youth's life that revolves around a desire or want that is called a lust! Lust is not only a sin towards the opposite sex, but lust after evil things are also a sin common among the daughters of Zion. 2 Timothy 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart. This has to do with a matter of the heart. Many Christian girls, ladies, women struggle with lust in their hearts. many don't want to confess or own up and give up the spirit of lust tormenting them all the time. This condition of their heart becomes an idol in their heart! we see that it will never allow them to be delivered or to expose filth in their lives until the spirit of judgment and burning from the lord comes up on them. Why is lust so powerful? it is powerful because it is a driving inward thought that pushes outward to a particular person or evil thing. It draws men away from the lord and his righteousness towards their own sins and temptations. James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Since it is one person who is drawn away, we discover that when two individuals are in lust, they will totally agree to commit sexual immorality and would still not be satisfied ! This continues until such a person is destroyed bodily! James 1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. The list after evil things is what has drawn a lot of daughters of Zion to commit evil and to do evil things that are immoral and filthy. some commit these things by imitation of the daughters of babylon! Someone who was morally upright suddenly becomes immoral in conduct and behaviour because of the lust after evil things. Many daughter of Zion may not commit fornication or adultery with the opposite sex but engage in immoral acts such as masturbation, lesbianism, using sexual toys to pleasure themselves, consenting to intimate touches and public or private displays of affections for the sake of money. Some engage in coveteous practices that make them gain money such as sinful games like truth or dare where each partners body is sexually exploited Many of these evil acts are financially rewarding but soulfully destructive! many daughters of Zion love to experiment with these immoral acts and now teach sinners their wicked ways! Some daughters of Zion who seek love outside Christ will devise ways of iniquity and end up teaching sinners their ways. Because sexual immorality and the use of fashion instruments and sexual toys spoil God's temple, God also will spoil those who defile his temple. After many decades of of using cosmetics and fashion to sexually appeal to men and commit sexual immorality with men, the end is very saddening! 2 Timothy 3:6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Many advocates of sexual immorality always have many customers and students learning at their feet. it is a profit house of sin that bears no shame because it is a trade of the body for money. Many Christian female's love to experiment sin with their bodies and this is the kind of lustful power of deception that Satan bestows upon them through conceit. Everything suddenly becomes a kind of fun because of the sinful chemistry and attention such action generates to them!!! so many of these daughters of Zion love double lives as a saint at home or church and a devil abroad or in school. After wearing tight hugging, thigh baring revealing dresses, some are wowed at how they now look ie Sexy, hot or seductive to the core! some forget that Sex is a gift from God never to be monetized, weaponized or merchandized. They forget that it is the mother of Harlots , the great abomination of all the earth that is the spirit behind all forms of sexual immorality and perversion that is also behind most of these unholy garments and indecent DRESSING companies to continue to pollute the world spiritually and lure innocent ones and gullible one to sin . We are told that the kings of the Earth's and captains are drunk with the wine of her fornication. Definitely through sexual immorality, this wicked queen of the coast has always drank and sucked the precious life (sperm) of their victims. sex is so powerful because it is the gift of God that in it dwells the precious life. Of course, the loss of his daughter, Linda Jane, produced incalculable grief, Rule told the hearing. “Mr. Ridgway, there are people here who hate you. I am not one of them,” Rule said. “You’ve made it difficult to live up to what I believe and what God says to do and that is to forgive. “You are forgiven.” The stone face of the murderer broke and Ridgway cried. Perhaps the Holy Spirit broke through at that moment to bring conviction and remorse. His life story tests the idea of eternal security for those who have placed their faith and trust in Jesus. May God have mercy on Ridgway’s soul and bring comfort to the many victims’ families who have suffered far too much due to one man’s sin. Ridgway is currently serving a life sentence at Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla.

I resisted, but I just have to share my knowledge, who knows it might help some people. Since the last documentary of TB Joshua I see people divided into "Cancel group" and "Validate group" This is the truth: An English scientist once said once we dont understand we claim it can only be divine, therefore mystifying it. I used to jokingly say, If the white people did not land an airplane on African soil, some tribes would have been worshipping airplane as gods. Those people you called "Men of God" are ordinary people like me and you, THERE IS NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THEM. We are all children of God psalm 82:6-7, we are all called and we all have weaknesses as mortals, with flesh and blood born of a woman. Even Jesus do not want to be addressed or treated specially Mark 10:18. It is because of your lack of knowledge that makes you people give this preachers too much reverence. I will share knowledge here with you: When God calls people to take up assignment, he share it across several people it is only the person CONFIDENT enough that eventually becomes big, this happens across, technology, politics, religion etc. Sometimes when we call them "con" we are not insulting them, we actually meant the most confident among us to take up the task, yes its a huge task to manage people! while I was in bible school I told my mates that the way to make success in gospel preaching is to first brainwash yourself, you are your first convert, before you can even be bold enough to build a religious empire. Its a single minded pursuit and its not easy at all. So these men I only respect them for what they have built not because of any 'God' and yes they all have good intentions and yes God blesses and enable them to carry out the assignment. How about miracles? I see many people defending TB online always come up with this argument, he heals ABC. TB did not heal anybody, it was God, and how did God did it he uses our ENERGY. Here will not be enough for me to talk about energy. ENERGY is everything. Let me share a scenario, Somebody who is sick in Kaduna, travelled all the way, taking risks, ignoring other preachers went all the way to Ikotun in Lagos. That act alone is FAITH, it is energy concentration, he believed that when Joshua touch him, he will be healed, he is indirectly transferring his energy to that of Joshua's(this is called submission) everybody in the congregation is expecting healing as outcome, the sick man is expecting it, his loved once is expecting, TB and his Team are expecting, doubt has finally been obliterated. All Joshua needs to do is act of faith, Just ask for healing, the universe(God) in His benevolence won't hold back, and it is given. done! I can confidently explain all falling under anointing, demon manifestation, instant healing etc. but time will not permit me, use your google to learn about MESMER, a man whose name was used to form the word "mesmerism" read hypnosis, read about ENERGY, brainwashing under religion( it works in cult, the military etc.). It is your lack of knowledge that makes you think all miracles are direct 'act of God' or "act of the man of God", I was telling a friend that if I can gather 1,000 to 10,000 people under a building there is no 'miracle' I cannot perform, because I understand how to manipulate energy. Science has already given us the secret "Energy can neither be created nor destroyed but can be transformed from one form to another"... time/space will not permit me, to explain. These men knows, that is why they dont play with huge congregations, that is why they keep building big big edifices. He can be the dirtiest person and still perform all these wonders and more, because science and God is no respecter of any man, but of principles, his assignment is to teach, guide, pray, heal and philanthropy he did all that(Luke 4:18) what he does in his private life is not your business! Na u go dey judge, even Jesus refuse to judge John 12:47. This is why I like the Jewish Rabbis, they will teach you the word of God, permit you to ask question, (how many times have this Nigerian preachers permits you to ask questions in their services) Jewish people where both Islam and Christianity originated from, encourage you to question and doubt everything, such that one man will not hold absolute power, just because he has the microphone and the pulpit, they also do not encourage people to follow signs and wonders, that is why many of them do not believe in Jesus, despite all the miracles. His parents were strong faithful Christians, and their faith influenced Fred greatly. His parents' faith and influence molded him into a responsible guy who ignored the pleasures of the world (fornication, wild parties, clubbing, alcoholism, etc.) but focused squarely on his future. And so, Fred was obviously on a path to greatness in life. As at when he was in his final year at the University, he was still on a first-class and was still enjoying various sponsorships from various organizations. In fact, one of these organizations - a multinational company - already promised him a lucrative job immediately after he graduated from the University. The job was attached with lucrative packages, including an official house and an official car. Fred was the envy of everyone in his school, everyone recognized the fact that he had a very bright and glorious future ahead of him. The problem started when Fred crossed paths with a lady called Vivian. Actually, Vivian was Fred's ex-secondary school classmate. When they were still in secondary school, Fred and Vivian were always contending for the first position each term. They were obviously the brightest students in their class, though they weren't close friends. And so, Fred was surprised when he received a call from a strange number who later identified herself as Vivian - his former classmate back then in secondary school. She told him she was within the environs of his University and asked for his address. Afterward, she started visiting him frequently, obviously trying hard to establish a relationship between them, even bringing him cooked food just to make him comfortable with her. Then, on an unfortunate day, she visited his room on a cold rainy evening, putting on a revealing provocative dress that threw Fred off balance. She lured Fred into having sex with her, and that day, Fred had his first sex right there on his bed. However, immediately after that encounter, Vivian stopped contacting or visiting him. In fact, she ignores his calls intentionally whenever he tries reaching her. Weeks later, Fred was experiencing changes in his body system. He was frequently getting sick and was losing a lot of weight, getting leaner and dry. His frequent sicknesses made him miss numerous tests and even his final exams. It was when the multinational company that had offered him automatic employment decided to treat him in their private clinic that they discovered the main problem. Fred has contracted a dread sexually transmitted virus! The news quickly spread around the school. Before Fred died a humiliating death, he was subjected to stigmatization and constant ridicule - especially from those who have always been jealous of him. And that was how Fred, the youngster with a very bright future, thwarted his life just because of a few minutes of pleasure. Indeed, the graveyard is the richest place on earth, as it contains numerous unused potentials and talents. What Fred never knew was that Vivian, a promiscuous lady, contracted the virus from one of her numerous sex partners. As soon as she became aware of this, she swore not to die alone but to share the virus with various other people, especially those with a promising future. She drafted a list of those she knew were endowed with talents, intelligence, and a bright future ahead. Then she began getting closer to them one by one, luring them into sex and sharing the virus with the unsuspecting folks........ This is the unfortunate story of Fred, and I'm sure you will have drawn a lot of lessons from it. I want you to understand something. You have a bright future ahead, and you are meant to achieve and do great things in life. I'm confident of this because your Creator - God - created you gloriously. However, the devil, who is your adversary, hates you bitterly and is bent on destroying you and your destiny. Nevertheless, you are guaranteed safety and immunity when you live your life only within the confines of God's Will by His Word. Don't ever forget that the devil has numerous agents meant to lure you into sin and get your life ruined. That beautiful lady around you might actually have an ulterior motive towards you, while you think they are innocent. Life is not as shallow as it seems, but very deep. My father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo once told a story about an experience he had at the Benin Airport. He said that they were at the Airport in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria, to take a flight after a programme. At that time, the Church, Winners’ Chapel, had no aircraft yet. And at the airport at that time, there was a man who had a private aircraft. God’s servant sent someone to tell the man that he should give them a lift to Lagos before their own aircraft would arrive. That was not begging because he knew theirs would certainly arrive. It was made known to me that those that commit suicide did so due to frustration. Moreover, there is a demon in charge over suicidal mission. At the point af this encounter, ONLI YAHNWESAVES ANOINTED just sent Mma Ozi to set a man free from committing suicide. ONLI YAHNWESAVES ANOINTED showed me equally Mma Ozi sent to set a young woman that has undesired little beauty in the womb free [unwanted pregnancy] and about to eliminate self through poison due to shame on what beauties shall say. Then ONLI YAHNWESAVES ANOINTED said, “It is not all beauties that shall have this privilege to be set free”. Then after this, ONLI YAHNWESAVES ANOINTED showed me a young woman beauty that has been preached to stop fornication, but self-did not listen to the warnings and continued in fornication until self-got impregnated. In frustrations, self decidid to flush out the little beauty without knowing that self shall die in that process. Self had a stomach upset and died instantly and went straight to Heylel fire. Me viewed how the demons cut off the private part and a leg. As self-struggled to shout, the demons cut off the mouth to silence self. The torment against self was on account that even the mama to the young woman has severally warned self against fornication but the young woman ignored.After that, me viewed a money lender from Deeper Life Bible Church, though they have preached to self that such business is unrightchoice [unrighteous] but self refused. The man died and was cast into Heylel fire. The demons in Heylel fire were asking the man, “Who shall save you from this place?” the man began to give excuses that self did the business to cater for the family, but no excuse could save self. A warning was echoed to the rest on earth, “You that is searching for money, have you received your savior? For the salvation time is expiring for you”. Me heard from a preacher speaking to a woman whose occupation is hair dressing. With this warning tone “Go and warn them, Go and warn them, Our Savior died for a sinfirl world, Go and warn them, Our Savior shall reward all beauties”. This preacher has severally warned this woman to stop hair styling occupation, but the woman refused, not knowing that death was at the corner. Me viewed how the woman died in a short distance time and was cast into Heylel fire. Though self-made much pleading for a second chance, but none was given to self. In Heylel fire, it was recalled to self how women that charms to capture men always gather in self hair styling salon to interact and spoke so proudly about their evil deeds. After this, the woman lamented with this lamentation, “Had me know! had me known!! had me known!!! shall be said on the verdict time”. The woman equally lamented with Igbo tongue, “Ikpe uwa ebidogo” meaning “Verdict for the earth has began”. General Overseer of the Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has placed a curse on two viral security guards for being ungrateful. Recall that he had sent the guards to Cyprus on scholarship. A few days ago, the former Chicken Republic security staff, popularly known as Happie Boys took to social media to reveal that they were forced to drop out of school after six months due to lack of scholarship. According to the duo, the man of God abandoned them due to money and getting a job has been very difficult. Happie Boys further shared their chats with Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere where they requested money from him several times and he said he was broke and on other occasions ignored the messages. THE DEAD CHURCH Revelation 3:1, ““And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.” Jesus Christ described one of the 7 churches here as a dead church. Even though they still claim to be a church of God, redeemed by Jesus Christ, and may be growing in population and physically expanding, but spiritually they are dead church. To be dead means there was life before it was lost of given up. A dead church means it was alive and living before, but along the way it becomes dead. Jesus Christ, the Lord and Master of the church described the church of Sardis as a dead church. When a church is born and established by the power of Holy Spirit in salvation and transformation of life and the members are regenerated and living in the newness of life, that is the beginning of a living church, starting in the Spirit and walking in the Spirit. The priority of a living church is salvation of souls, righteousness and love of God and turning people from the kingdom of darkness to the light of Jesus Christ. The Sardis church was walking in the Spirit, preaching life given messages that established people in the Spirit and bearing the fruit of the Spirit. But along the way this church grew into complacency and turned into something else. Dead Church Jesus Christ said to the Sardis Church, “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.” That is the sign of a dead church, a dead ministry or a dead minister, pursue after a name, making a name in the world. One of the focuses of dead church or dead minister is how to make a name in the world and not in heaven, how to become popular, how to become known to the world, how to have more members and more population. If the focus of your church is making name, your church is a dead church. If the focus or purpose of your ministry is to make a name, to make a population or popularity, then your ministry is a dead ministry. If your purpose as a minister of the gospel is to be trending and become a popular name, you are spiritually dead. “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.” This church still boasts of their beginning and yesterday’s glory, they still claim the name of the past, their pastors and members still rely on their past lively history but at the present they are dead. Let me tell you something, a spiritual dead church is not a church that closes down physically. A spiritually dead church will still be bumbling and growing physically, a spiritually dead church will still be making names, expanding and building more churches and branches; in fact a spiritually dead church can still be witnessing miracles, prosperity and popularity and more members every day. What made Jesus declared Sardis church dead was not because the church closed down physically or fold up, it was not because the church was not increasing in population or because the church was not making more money. What Makes A Church DEAD? What makes a church dead is when the church becomes worldly, when the church begins to conform with the world instead of conforming with the nature of Christ, when she cares for the things of the world than heavenly thing, then she is dead, when she focusses on physical growth than spiritual growth, she is dead. When she centers her attention on making names all over the world than making name in heaven, she is a dead church. The Bible says in 1 Timothy 5:6, “But she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives” though she is still living physically, she is still increasing branches and running different special programs but she is spiritually dead. When a church begins to compromise God’s word to please the people of the world, that church is a dead church. When a church allows worldly dressings, different satanic makeup, that church is dead. When a church begins to give special honor to the rich members and ordaining them as ministers, that church is spiritually dead. When a church ordains ministers by their finances or level of education instead of their calling, that church is spiritually dead. A church that focusses more on physical building project than building people is a complete dead church. A church that spends more on building new and more auditoriums than providing for the needs of her members is a dead church. A church that invites comedians for her program is a dead church. A church that has millions or billions in her bank account and yet members are suffering in poverty is a dead church. A church whose General Overseer is flying with private jet without a free primary school or a primary healthcare is a complete dead church. Listen to me, a church that has private primary school, secondary school or university and an average members of the same church cannot afford the school fees is a dead and satanic church. When your Federal Government is subsidizing their universities with tax money but your church is using tithe money to subsidize your daddy G.O’s private jet’s fuel, it simply means your church is a dead church. A church that runs expensive private school more than Federal Government school is a dead church. Listen to me, when your church preaches more about prosperity than purity of heart, your church is a confirmed dead church. When your church prays “fall down and die prayers” and prays more that the witches in your family should die than it prays that the sinners in your family should be saves, your church is a dead church. When your church uses offerings to measure seriousness of members, it shows that your church is a dead church. When your church talks about grace without godliness, your church is a dead church. When your church preaches and prays more about financial breakthrough, blessings than fruit of the Spirit, it shows your church is a dead church. When your church cares more about sudden miracles than second coming of Jesus, your church is a dead church. A church that does not believe and teach restitution is a dead church. A church that care less about the rapture but repeatedly talk about robust harvest of abundance is a dead church. When your church emphasizes about praises without purity, giving without godliness, sowing seeds without sanctification, that your church is a living dead church. If your church emphasizes more about speaking in tongues than speaking the truth, your church is a dead church. A church that talks more about prophecy than the Holy Scripture is a living dead church. Jesus Christ gave Himself for the church, “that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish” Ephesians 5:26, 27. But when a church is living in all uncleanness and worldliness and still continue to claim grace without work of righteousness, such a church is a dead church. Many churches today are dead churches but they are still busy with different activities, boasting fire and thunder. But you need to know this, that in Christianity, it is not all about what you claim to be that really matters but what Jesus declare about you. A pastor or church can claim or even proof to Jesus that “We prophesied in Your name, we cast out demons in Your name, and we did so many signs and wonders in Your name” Yet, Jesus will declare to them, “I never knew you, depart from Me, you workers of iniquities.” That is in Matthew 7:22,23. If you or your church is worldly and polluted with the things of this world, and yet you keep on speaking in tongues, doing miracles, prophesying and doing many wonders, as that is the focus and priority of many churches and ministers today, if your church continues to focus on physical expansion and you people continue building gigantic buildings here and there, Jesus will not deny that you do all that in His name but He will dash you to hell with all your claiming and blasting in tongue. Run For Your Life! If your church cannot change you, change your church. If your church cannot change you to become more like Jesus, don’t let your church change you to become like the world. If will be foolish for you to perish with your church in hell. Christian race is individual race, not collective responsibility. Because your church is doing it or allowing it does not make is right before God. Because your pastor’s wife or your bishop’s wife is wearing worldly dresses and makeup and down does not make it good, because your pastor is telling little lies and turning worldly, and committing sins, that will not make is right before God, and if you join your church’s worldly and sinful lifestyle, it only means you are going to perish with your church. That your daddy G.O is doing is will not justify it. That your GS is doing it will not make is right before God. God cannot change His standard of holiness because of your church’s compromise but you are the one who will run for your life. Call To Repentance A dead church can still be revived back to life, no matter how worst or how long they have gone with the world and Satan, all they need to do is to repent and turn back to God. Jesus called the dead church of Sardies to repent, and He is calling you into repentance also, He said, “Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.” Revelation 3:3. God is calling individuals into repentance, remember how you started with God when you first gave your life to Jesus Christ, remember your old love and simplicity and contentment, and also remember how you were carried away with strange doctrines and worldly ambitions, remember how you joined the modern worldly church and forfeited all your old time faith and virtues, remember how you fell away to permissiveness and perversion in your ministry and now center on prophesies and prosperity instead of preparation of the coming of Jesus Christ, remember how you changed your soul winning to churching winning. Repent today before it is too late. Jesus is coming for a pure and blameless church, not a mansion-building church, not a 10-services in a Sunday church; pure church, not populated and polluted church. I was invited to a church by a friend and I observed that it was all about money money the Pastor was after. Offerings are supposed to be voluntary and not made a task. There is even this offering for the Pastor too and it is compulsory that everyone pays certain dues. The church has a school and a clinic that most members cannot afford to patronize too. Then I started to ask myself if the church has become a private partnership concern. |

First, let’s talk about religion I was born in the church. When I was about four, my father donated his compound for a friend to use when he was starting a church, so you can say I lived in church growing up. I was immersed in the culture around church, religion and spirituality, and I loved it so much. My childhood friends were children of ministers and workers who were also always in church — my home. I wasn’t as close to my primary school friends because I was always excited to get back home and hang with the church kids all evening. I was also excited about Sunday school and all the Bible stories and lessons we were taught. The church had all these activities for the kids: drama, dance, singing and competitions. I used to win all the Bible-related competitions like Bible sword, reciting memory verses, etc. Sounds so nostalgic Yes. My favourite things about that period were the beautiful Christian picture books I owned, with vivid illustrations of the creation story, the nativity. I especially loved the depictions of Egypt — the stories of Moses and Joseph. I’m a digital artist today because I fell in love with art while replicating those picture book scenes with my paper and crayons, and later, watercolours. I’d paste my replicas all over the walls of my room. I found art through Jesus. I grew to love Jesus because He was so good, kind and caring. I still love the idea of being connected to and loved by such a divine figure. I had such a beautiful, happy childhood. I didn’t really notice anything missing until I entered secondary school. What was missing? I discovered what it meant to be poor or rich, pretty or ugly, lonely or popular. I always felt my parents were comfortable because they’d give stuff away and help people with money when they were in need. But they weren’t really; we were just getting by. Before secondary school, everyone hung out with everyone because the concept of being popular wasn’t a thing. But my church friends made new friends at their own schools and didn’t attend church as much. A lot of them even japa’d with their families or went to boarding school, or just weren’t as outgoing as we were when we were younger. And how did you navigate all that? I found singing, again, through Jesus. While my school was secular, the owner was a devoted Christian, so there was strict assembly and devotion every morning with at least 30 minutes of praise and worship. In JSS 2, I volunteered to lead those. I did so well the first time that I was selected to lead the morning assembly once every week. I eventually became chapel prefect in SS 3. Having that, and of course, studying to get good grades, gave me purpose, but I still struggled with loneliness. Why? Things happening at home made me terribly sad. My parents were constantly fighting abusive and violent fights at this point. They’d leave me and my siblings alone at home until nighttime. And as the middle child of three, I felt scared and neglected. During this period, I wanted to kill myself all the time. I’d lie in bed, seriously considering it because I didn’t have anything to look forward to. I wasn’t happy anymore. But Jesus, and the thought of continuing my suffering in hell, stopped me from doing that. Did adulthood help these feelings? Adulthood comes with its own struggles — from family drama to work pressure to money wahala. There’s also the depression that comes with not achieving your dreams or goals. I find that I’m always struggling to find joy in the little things just to get by. And then, finding that I wasn’t straight didn’t help matters. How did that happen? In secondary school, I crushed on up to ten different guys, especially in SS. I felt I was really attracted to these guys. I’d stare at them and some ended up being my friends. But I only dated one guy towards the end of SS 2. We broke up in SS 3 first term because I didn’t know how to commit. I “liked” this guy, but I didn’t really want him in my personal space. I didn’t want to always hang out with him, which makes sense because I was 16 then. I think back to my classmates now and wonder how they could be so committed to their boyfriends at that age. That’s a good question Exactly. But then for university, I went to a Christian private school, so it was more church culture, and I immersed myself in it. It was my comfort zone, after all. I joined the choir and was generally at peace until I realised I didn’t like any of the guys. It’s not like I was caught up in dating, but you know at that stage in life, it’s a huge focus for most. At one point, I thought I was a misandrist, but I didn’t have a problem being friends with guys. In fact, I get along with guys a lot. Most of my friends are guys today. But once they try to get romantic or remotely sexual, I get turned off. I’d just literally switch off and freeze up before I even notice. How did your church preach about sex? Do you think that affected your perception of it? I don’t think so. My alma mater was strict regarding sex and relationships: if you were caught alone with a guy or even holding hands walking down the streets, you could get anything from a warning to suspension from school. But that didn’t stop anyone; those were just rules. And at that time, I’d moved to a youth church back home, so sermons weren’t repressive. They were just point-blank about no pre-marital sexual activity as stated in the Bible. Yet I know people in the church who obeyed it and people who didn’t. I wouldn’t say my church affected my perception of sex, but maybe my Christianity as a whole and personal relationship with God. Got it Towards the end of 100 level, someone told me I behaved like a lesbian, and I was so confused. Until that point, I thought lesbians had to be tomboys. I’m quite feminine in my dressing and behaviour. Well, actually, I’m in between. I’m quite sporty and tend to be assertive, things people wrongly associate with being manly. But other than that, I wouldn’t consider myself a tomboy. In 200 level, I realised I had a crush on my roommate. We were roommates for three years, and we’re still friends today, but she still doesn’t know I like her. In school, I wondered how boys weren’t falling over themselves to date her because she was so attractive. So you’re not attracted to men at all? No. I can’t stand them romantically, TBH. How they talk once they’ve decided they want to date you or get in your pants? It’s off-putting to me. They aren’t all like that, of course. Some are actually serious about liking you and being committed, but on a fundamental level, I don’t really connect to how men think or process things. Even their build and essence turn me off. When I think back now, all the guys I ever crushed on — secondary schoolmates, celebrities — were all almost effeminate. I know my friends would never be able to wrap their heads around this, but it really just feels natural. Got it. And how’s it been since you discovered your sexuality? Uneventful. I haven’t had the nerve to approach women sexually or even search for communities where I’ll be welcome. I’m still very much in the closet. No one knows. Not one single person I know knows I’m gay. Not even your family? My mother and siblings know I’m a pride ally and speak up against homophobia and for gay rights, but that’s it. I’ve tried to hint it to my mother because we’re like besties, and I’ve noticed she’s been much more respectful of the gay community, but she just zones out anytime I try to connect myself directly to it. One time, while we were having a conversation, I told her I sometimes understand lesbians because I can’t stand men romantically, and it was like I didn’t even say anything. Sexual lust has destroyed and is still destroying the destinies of many. I know there are people who will tell you that even if you fool around sexually, you will still make it to heaven. Don’t let them send you to hell with their false doctrine. 1 Corinthians 3:17 says, “If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are”. You think adultery or fornication is something to be toyed with? In Numbers 31:1-16, the people of Israel were indestructible because God was solidly behind them, but then the enemy decided to send beautiful ladies into their camp and the people of Israel began to fornicate. After that, the enemy did not need to do anything; it was God Himself who started destroying them. If you are lusting after someone you’re not married to, you had better save your destiny by staying away from such a person because that is the strategy of the devil to destroy you. There are many people suffering all manners of plagues because of fornication and adultery. Don’t be one of them. If you are old enough for marriage, pray for God’s direction and go through the Church when you want to start your courtship with whomever God has led you to. You may say that is ‘old-school’ mentality, but that is what has kept some of us standing and on the right path of destiny for many decades. It is better to be old-school than to be destroyed. Let the Church be involved in your courtship and make sure that you and your spouse-to-be never meet in private places where you can commit sin. There are many people who set themselves up to fall into fornication by being too close to the opposite sex or staying alone in private places with them. Once you notice that you are beginning to lust after someone, declare a fast immediately to kill that lust in your flesh. Lust thrives in secrecy, don’t cover it up. ALL CHURCHES RUNNING EXPENSIVE SCHOOLS ARE NOT SENT BY GOD! Baptist Church, Apostolic Faith, RCCG, Deeper Life Church, etc. running expensive nursery and primary schools, secondary schools and universities, more expensive than Federal Government's schools or more expensive that an average member of the same church cannot afford, they are not sent by God, they sent themselves. I heard about a school founded by a man of God, Gbele Akanni, a school totally free of charge for all the students. This is a man who does not run church, who does not collect tithes and offerings, yet runs free of charge school and the school is progressing and well taken care of by God. And your church, collecting tithes and offerings, using church's land and money, members' donation to build the school and the school is so expensive that an average member of the same church cannot afford to send their children to their church's school, is this not wickedness and ungodliness? Is your church carrying this money to heaven? Is your church running the Gospel of Mammon or Gospel of Christ? Ask yourself, If Jesus were to start a private school in your country, would He be charging such school fees your church is charging now? Is your church Christ-like or a business venture? One of the wickedness of this generation's church is starting private schools with church's contributions and making the same school unaffordable to an average member of the church. This is barbaric, not biblical! I am saying this not just to correct these churches but to warn the upcoming generation of young men and women of God not to follow the footsteps of heresy and love of money. The funny and filthy excuse many churches give is that it is an expensive running school. Now let me help relieve you of that excuse: there is no clear difference between the school fees of private individuals and church's schools, so an individual who collected bank loan to build school without church money or church's land and with only the school fees he collects from his private school, he pays his loan, maintains school and makes profit and your church is collecting similar school fees for her secondary school or university, and you say it is not easy to maintain school? The satanic aspect there is that the church's school built by church money with church's land is charging similar school fees with private individuals and making profit on his church members and doesn't care about his church members who can't afford it, is that not satanic? If the Federal Government is subsidizing their school fees with tax money, why can't our churches subsidize their university's school fees with tithe money? For how long are we going to be defending what is not defendable before God and keep playing religion on our common senses? Education was brought to Africa, not by our Governments or by Colonial Governments, but by the church, the selfless Christian missionaries. But after the missionaries gave us the gospel and we have known even more than the missionaries, we now have our churches in Africa, the same African churches are so rich to afford building multi-million church auditoriums more beautiful than what the missionaries built for us and so rich to buy private jets for our Bishops and Papas, but unfortunately these African churches cannot afford free education which the missionaries brought to Africa with the gospel.
