His Creative Quality in tandem with his finishing is one of the major reasons he can play alongside Osimhen and Lookman in attack in a 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1 or 3-4-1-2 or even 4-3-3. Philosopher1979: 3 Likes 2 Shares |

This guy is a beast now. Adept at LCB and LB. Good in a four man defence and a three man defence. One of the best defensive players in world football today. Haba. PS: Messi dealt with him at the WC shaa. But that is Messi-One of the GOATs. And Josko was younger then. He's matured his game even better since 2022. TheGoodJoe: 1 Like 1 Share |

It has reached the point to now call TheGoodJoe dull just because you don't agree with his angle on sensitive issues like the Super Eagles job and the events around it. How interesting. Just so you know, unlike Komekn who spews garbage and deservedly gets labelled for his hate towards Nigerian born lads, TheGoodJoe is way different and upholds the potentials of the Nigerian football space. Yet, just because his angle on the SE coaching job is not pleasant to your eyes, he is dull. Funny. Very funny. jihday: 4 Likes |

The point still stands that Finidi was lucky thanks to the Abridged format. His side clearly were not the better team in NPFL 2023. They were barely 3rd and escaped into the Super 8. Also, the NPFL is like a rise and fall league. A team that was struggling last season could come next season and be the form team. Rangers of 2024 NPFL is a perfect example. They struggled all through 2023 NPFL. Ocean Boys back in 2008 won the league out of nowhere. Also, Enyimba sit second now because Remo Stars still has a game in hand. Fidelis Illechukwu who has been ignored by the NFF for any of our NTs is again showing his tactical acumen and is up there with the best from the local scene. Finidi is no better tactician than Fidelis. Finally, whatever Enyimba's recent success is today is down to 3 other men (Okwandu, Harcourt and Ukaegbu) doing much of the work even in Finidi's occasional absences when on NT duties. Rivers Utd were well funded but were never at any point gonna be bigger than Enyimba. Enyimba is clearly Nigeria's biggest clubside. They are the Man City/Man Utd of Nigeria. Enyimba were barely third in the regular season (escaped over Akwa Utd) and were favored in the abridged league barely escaping with the title due to Goals difference over Remo Stars. Like Robosky02 said, the fatigue/burn out from continental assignments of Rivers and Bendel affected how that abridged league turned out. How did Finidi's Enyimba fare on the continent? How did they fare in the AFL? Don't act like we don't have new champions in the NPFL season after season. Even Ocean Boys' Maurice Cooreman once won the NPFL yet never came close to the Super Eagles job. Oasis007: 1 Like 1 Share |

Is Finidi not also relying on a fluke NPFL win orchestrated more by those 3 men I listed in the Enyimba coaching staff? So why won't Amunike's WC triumph be brought in as well? Have Finidi also qualified any nation to a major tournament? (To be fair, we will answer this by the end of the WCQs, won't we?) Amunike has been busy with Zanaco recently before he left and also was part of various technical study groups to recent tournaments like the WC in 2018 and Afcon 2021. This guy even had coached in the NPFL before but you didn't know until I brought it to light so how the hell would you know what else he is up to currently?? humility33: 2 Likes 1 Share |

forgiveness: So na this part concern you pass. "The head coach of that team, was Emmanuel Amunike. We traveled to North, South, East and Western part of Africa for friendlies and qualifiers and we won over 60 matches on the road. We trashed Burundi in Bujumbara and humbled Sudan in Omdurman. The team played with the confidence of Real Madrid and flourished with the brilliance of Barcelona they dazzled with the fluency of Arsenal and never showed any of Chelseaās weaknesses." You are quick to drown Amunike whenever his name comes up. Let Finidi also handle the age grade sides and coach them to a world title. You think that is easier? Finidi wobbled and fumbled on the Enyimba job until providence of the abridged league smiled on him. humility33: 1 Like |

Kanu is Enyimba's chairman. Time will tell. We are not the ones to decide where a coach should go. They know their paths. And sometimes, it is not by who did this or what prior to a job. I recall when Siasia was given the U20 Job back in 2004. People murmured and some section of the media predicted doom. I was so little then but I recall reading the headlines across various newspapers. Almost made me believe he wasn't fit and used "man know man" to get in. Well, it turned out great and even if he used "man know man" then it is my wish that such "man know man" keep bringing in fine hands that can actually do us great in our football. The system is so corrupt that even the suitable hands needs people in higher places to still speak for them. I guess that is what we are seeing with Amunike today. Kog45: 1 Like |

To be honest, don't expect anyone here to believe the bolded except me or a few others. Ofcos Amunike isn't aware and won't resort to such tactics but nope... some no go gree. Truth is I know there are people who for once felt it was time a suitable local hand came in that truly suited the team and should be given free hand with the team and that guy was Amunike. But what I didn't expect is how badly they wanted this for Amunike. I am even shocked at the number of so called powerful individuals who tried hard to influence the NFF to name Amunike. Omo, e get people wey like that man ooo. elyte89: 2 Likes |

Finidi was literally on the verge of being sacked by same Enyimba at one point. He won the league last season thanks to the abridged version and the help of Ukaegbu and others who prepped the team even when Finidi was away on NT duty. Enyimba finished 3rd in Group A of the regular season behind Remo Stars and bendel insurance who were much better in the league compared to Enyimba. The abridged version just played out in Enyimba's favour. Infact, had Akwa Utd (tied with Finidi's Enyimba on 32 pts) had a better Goals difference, it would have been something different. Truth is we are giving all the credits to Finidi to boost him up but the main minds behind Enyimba's plays and training are Emeka Okwandu, Ifeanyi Harcourt and Lawrence Ukaegbu. Finidi is coaching the most prestigious and richest club in Nigeria with several of the best players in the league while being away on NT duty when it calls. It's a piece of cake. A better coach will be topping the league with Enyimba and wrapping up the league. Not playing second fiddle to Fidelis Illechukwu (a guy I consider a better tactician than Finidi anyway). Are you Icon4s? What happened to your original? Anyway, point is TheGoodJoe and I have been far more vocal on why we want Amunike unlike many others who don't want Amunike but will settle for just anybody else not named Amunike without an idea of what their philosophy is like. Icon4s is as big on this thread as the myself and TheGoodJoe but he's been silent lately. aicon4s: 1 Like |
