Something to take note of, dxy made a lower high while gold made a higher low.

Dxy and Gold are poorly correlated. Gold doesnt need dxy to go down for it to go up. If you are using it as some sort of confluence, you will often be disappointed.

What happened to me in the market last week is not something to write home about..
with my current state of mind, its very easy to think the market has some beef with me.
how can you not believe the market is hunting your SL when one long candle forms against you immediately you open a position -- the long candle always takes the opposite direction of ur trade. and it will only stop and retrace back immediately only when it hits your SL... the moment it hits SL it retrace swiftly and never return back there again..
the worst part is that when its sure it has kicked you out of the trade it will now go on and do exactly as you anticipated..
I took 8 different trades (different pairs) and this same thing happened in all of the trade I took.

DAMN!!! I just had to talk about this to feel relieved..

You are part of the liquidity the market hunts, you put your sl at obvious points (highs and low) where majority of us do...

One thing you can do is, when you see your setup, wait for your stoploss to be taken out, then monitor on a lower timeframe for reversal

Just search for liquidity on youtube to understand better

I have been neglecting the 1min chart for a long time now but discovered that the 1min TF was actually designed for entries... This discovery has improved slightly on my trading result. Analysis(poi's) takes place as usual on Higher TF's. Go down to 1min TF to lookout for entries... You will be amazed with level of reversal patterns/structure that u can easily spot on 1min TF. Your reversal entry on the 1min can be price returning to an order block, flip zone, qm , trendline or fib retracement levels or even general chart patterns like the wedges, pennants etc..... And the risk:reward ratio is crazy.... Usually my sl is around 15-30 pips... But I see my self having 5,6,7 pips sl's trading setups from the 1m chart.
Note that on the 1min TF u will spot many patterns/structures, the ones I take are the ones in line with my view/projection from the HTF's. Hopefully someone picks a thing or 2 from this.

Like someone i respect always say, Higher time frame is the king, but 1 min TF is the Queen...

My thought on DXY. AMD is complete, so i'll be looking to short the dollar.

As regard this competition. Open trade (order) is set to hidden. That way nobody can see your running trades.

covering of trade of trade = General terms, is when you set trade to breakeven or when you close partial lot size or close your trade for profit.

The organizer of the competition said nobody should hide their trades for transparent sake, don't know why some people re still doing that, maybe they think someone wants to steal their holy grail trade.

Please account for Spreads during this holiday season ooh. On my broker's MT4, GBPUSD has a spread of between 3.0 to 6.6pips.

...it is always advisable to avoid trading during low volume sessions; but, if your risk management is optimal, why not....

Your SL is at a QM level, if I am looking to enter a sell in the market that is exactly where my order will be. Price might kick you out and then continue selling but what do I know.
