Webmasters / JAMB 2013 Result Portal On Fire by TrustNigerians: 6:46am On May 04, 2013
Briefly after the release of 2013 UTME result by JAMB, the website mapped out for candidates to check their result went on fire throwing an un-handled exception.
My question is, can this be as a result of traffic or programming error.
Thousands of desperate candidates wants to know their score, JAMB should do better.

Romance / Homosexuals Are Mutants by TrustNigerians: 11:10am On Apr 06, 2013
Homosexuals are mutants… I don’t really blame them; they are just victims of genetic malfunction

We believe that the gene guiding the production of sex hormone have been altered in homosexuals. The factors that led to the alteration have not been investigated but we believe that it may be due to environmental exposure. We also believe that victims of gene mutation must already have an attractant in their body chemical, with concurrent exposure to hormone "altering environmental factors" the desire for sexual relationship with same sex will emerge.

Webmasters / Can You Publish +18 Content If Affiliate Pays You $7 Per Lead? by TrustNigerians: 12:52pm On Mar 26, 2013
Websites or blogs having contents rated +18 have greater percentage of internet traffic. Recently, I stumbled upon an E-book that detailed on how to make money by setting up a porn site. The information provided by the book was quite enormous. It shows that marketing pornographic links can yield lots of money. Porn is easy and fast money, Nigerian bloggers are not into porn marketing due to some moral or cultural reasons but looking at the level of unemployment and other emerging social vices, some bloggers may consider +18 content as a better option than taking part in other social menace.

Fashion / It Is Not In Our Culture To Dress In Style… Whose Culture Is This by TrustNigerians: 5:34pm On Mar 11, 2013
It is not in our culture to dress in style… whose culture is this

Before colonization and adoption of foreign culture our people use to dress in style.
Our ladies wear what is known today as bikini, and they looked stunning. If you don’t have image memories ask your dad or older relative to provide core information about African culture. The idea of body decoration (tattoos) and bikini came from Africa. Body decoration is still practiced in Nigeria by the Yoruba ethnic group, And original bikini by zulu people of South Africa.

We adopted foreign culture but foreign culture is not stable, it seems the people we adopted their culture are confused; they are going backwards, suddenly they found something in our culture that thrill them. Their current dressing pattern was adopted from Africa.

….Challenging and controversial topic….the truth must be told.

Education / Nigerian (state) University- The Reality by TrustNigerians: 11:56am On Oct 18, 2012
Apart from the popular cult activities in most Nigerian universities there are other vices that can coerce academically oriented student into leaving school.

Report reaching Trustnigerians.com

Some years back, I was a bonafide student of a very popular state university in the east. Although it is now in the past but some of the dark memories still plague my whole being. The dark memory of one semester of uninterrupted robbery attack on our hostel is still very fresh in my memory.

The robbery was so frequent that my neighbor have to construct bullet proof to protect his back while he is asleep (bullet does not care if you are sleeping or awake) and his chest when he is awake.

Some of my hostel mates resorted to sleeping in the school every night; sleeping in the school was not the safest, as I was once robbed of my phone at gun point around 7pm within school premises. You can image the nightmare. Intense feeling of insecurity, safety /survival measure reoccupied my mind all the time, reading was relegated.

We started contributing money for security; we hosted a particular anti-robbery squad (of the state police) every week in our hostel. We provided them with money and drinks in order for them to come anytime we call for help. They advised us to start night watch in the hostel which we started.

One thing to note, the anti-robbery squad never caught any of these robbers, not even one, whenever we call, they will come with a noisy siren, and the armed robbers will run away before the anti-robbery squad get to the hostel. Quite frustrating, every night we stayed outside the hostel watching and waiting. Any night we fail to keep watch, they arm robbers will visit.

Some people stated getting used to them. The arm robbers continued till there was no phone in the hostel again only SIM cards.

Thanks for Reading.

To the memory of those days of intense feeling of helplessness in Nigeria, the country I call my own.

Jokes Etc / Three Sisters, Monica, Phoebe And Fanny by TrustNigerians: 1:43pm On Sep 25, 2012
Three sisters, Monica, Phoebe and Fanny, are all invited to a party, so they go to buy new dancing shoes. Monica comes home with a new pair of size 9 stilettos, Phoebe buys a pair of size 10 strappy sandals but poor Fanny, who takes a manly size 14, is forced to go in men’s wingtips. At the party, Fanny sits alone in the corner watching her sisters cut a rug on the dance floor. While the two sisters are dancing, two men approach and point down at their feet, “Wow, those are huge feet!” one of the men exclaims.“If you think those are big,” replies Monica proudly, “wait till you see our Fanny’s!”

Business / Compulsory ATM Card by TrustNigerians: 1:21pm On Sep 25, 2012
Introduction of Automatic Teller Machine, ATM in Nigeria banking sector has revolutionized the system. It drastically reduced the number of queue inside the banking hall, increased transaction speed, optimized customer services, redirected bank cashiers to more useful endeavors rather than setting over the counter all day and many other advantages.

Going by all these benefits, it is obvious that this new technology has great advantage. ATM also has its shortcomings which the banking sector neglects and some banks amplify these shortcomings to the detriment of their customers. TrustNigerians focused on only one of these disadvantages. Automatic Teller Machine requires some technical knowledge on the side of the user and we are living in a country with high rate of illiteracy. Some banks neglected this statistical information. While some have gone to the extent of setting minimum amount that can be withdrawn over the counter, Any withdrawal below this amount should be made via the ATM.

Setting minimum over the counter withdrawal limit and enforcing compulsory ATM card on all customers (literate or illiterate) will only increase the chances of ATM Card Theft. These unnecessary laws only affect illiterate /poor customers who are helpless on this issue.

Music/Radio / Arise Nigeria Remix By Richy by TrustNigerians: 6:01pm On Sep 12, 2012
Starting a career in music years back in Nigerian is very rare. It is very bold step, because you are likely to lose the support of your parents, family or guardians. The Nigerian society see music career as wide goose chase and the people involved in music as good for nothing people, womanizer/prostitutes and all sort. Those you have the talent but lacked the courage quickly killed their dreams. Anyway only few people had tele and radio to watch or listen to music then, the few that had preferred foreign content. A lot of things have changed in Nigerian, Nigerians have found love for Nigerian music and this stirred Nigerian music industry in to a right direction. Those that dared their relatives at the early age are big time stake holder in music industry in Nigeria today. Lots of Nigerian musicians are international celebs and also there are upcoming artists. Music is now a serious career and those that have the talent are developing it rapidly and even those that had no desire to go into music wish they had the talent.

Business / How To Rob A Bank by TrustNigerians: 12:49pm On Sep 10, 2012
In 2006, CNN aired a program titled “How To Rob a Bank”. Several adverts preceded this program. This caught attention of many including myself, I was anxiously waiting for the world number 1 television network teach the whole world how to rob banks.
To my surprise the program was not what I really expected, it was blackmail. CNN was just showing how Nigerians enter into US with fake passports and how the defraud US citizens off their hard earned money. From fake cheque, ATM card redirection to document forgery and impersonations. Their aim was to herald distrust and to portray Nigerians as fraudulent to the whole world. They wanted Nigerians to feel ashamed of themselves. Contrarily, I was excited about the program. On my mind. “So Nigeria have people that can pull of this kind of act outside their homeland, that’s incredible. These guys are incredibly smart. This is what it takes to be enrolled in one of these security outfits like FBI, CIA, etc. If we put these talents in the right direction we will start getting incredible result. Yes we have these talents but we still need to learn how to use it to favor our fatherland and mankind in general. Using our incredible talent to rob will only fetch us bad names and total rejection from others.
