You dey play with NOUN now. When you start you will surely come back to give us update.

I hope you like to read. NOUN no be play.

For me, I graduated with B.sc (Hons) degree from NOUN and I'm proud to say I did it all!

Employers are looking out for NOUN graduates now, cos they know, those from there really earned their degree on merit. And guess what? NOUN graduates has shown to be well prepared in the job market compared to other Federal University graduates. Those who don't know don't know shall.

I'm currently running my Masters program with University of East London with NOUN certificate, my employer don't joke with me.
So Goodluck to you.

Career / Re: How Do You Cope When A Colleague Or Senior Is Not Up To Their Job by walexzee11(m): 3:52pm On Apr 29, 2022
Sified:
It can be so annoying sometimes!

Colleagues with lesser passion for the job
Colleagues with poor work ethic
Colleagues that are not really competent

Mehn, if you ever get to be with these people ehn they'll drag you down sometimes, especially when you are trying to cover up and do extra work but still get paid same salary at the end of the month cry

Worst is you can't report them unless your oga notice and decides to do something cos you gasto pity them and not try to block someone else's source of income

100% what I would say.

I do all these for my colleagues, trying to cover their incompetence, bad work ethics and all. But the day I was confronted for taking charge of a task we were to do together which they give no priority to, I chose to let everyone be.

Now the boss is really seeing their incompetence, it is me that still end up clearing their mess.

I've learnt to do my best and allow others to show their incompetence. I have vowed to myself, none of them will do any task better than me.

Hi all, happy new year!

I've been a silent follower of this thread for more than a year now, I've been studying for CompTIA Sec+ and now I'm ready to take the 501 exam before it due date. Please, is there any Pearson VUE centre in Abuja where I can take the examination? I know the online is available too, but my system's cam is broken, so the system is not so good for online proctoring.

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm a final year student of Criminology and Security Studies, the recently released result I hope will be my final exam result in NOUN. But now, I failed a core Course, of which I believe I did well. Although I got 19 for the overall TMA score, I strongly believe I was marked-down.

Please, can anyone guide me on what to do so I can be able to apply for a remark before the graduation list is release. I already spent 5 years on this course and I've never fail any courses before..

I need help, please.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON GST302

If you're not presenting your business plan online and you're confused in any way kindly contact your corresponding incubation centre director via the contact details above.

More so, if you missed your presentation date, kindly go back another day and present it doesn't matter.

Again, if you booked for presentation at your incubation centre but decides to present online kindly go ahead.

Similarly, if you eventually skipped presentation for any reason, you'll carryover GST 302, and you must pass it before you can graduate.

You must write the exam after presentation otherwise, it'd be carryover. Carryover means, re-registration, preparing another business plan and still presenting it followed by exam.

Finally, I want you to be aware that there is no shortcut and you cannot upgrade GST courses score. Thus, you must participate fully.

Thank you
Thank you for the Info.

No be una shout OTEGE for saraki
Sorry to say but this comment right here lack the requisite intelligence needed on this thread.

Why we are shouting OTOGE in Kwara is because Saraki Dynasty refused to establish better paying companies in Kwara....Na so so Hotel paying peanuts full everywhere, even the Governor has his own hotel. They turned sound and intelligent youths to Okada riders and touts because of their personal pocket, No development.

And again, that's why we gave them Red Card..................... OTOGE.

OP, my advise for you is to dust your pali and get out of Kwara, that way you'll be more challenged to do better for yourself, but first, take the 22k pay(that is if you do not have any money for now), safe considerable amount for your relocation.

Leave your seemingly comfort zone.

Peace!!!

Be Informed, two new GST courses have been added to the portal.

First is
GST 204 - Entrepreneurship and Innovation 11. It is a 200L second semester compulsory course in all departments.

The second course is
GST 302 - Business Creation and Growth, a 300L course for all departments.

Please note that the course, Gst301, is currently suspended and students are advised not to register it.

Please, we that we've done the GST301 and did not see the result but the course was returned as carryover course. Are we to register the GST302 again even though we are in 400L now?

Please I need your reply sir.

you know the present security prevalent in our time, used all over the world to secure all 'securable' based on RSA and the Elliptic curve cryptography would be broken in polynomial time by a Quantum computer once it comes on board. Right now the quantum computer only computes quantum annealing but not the real computing. So a hacker with a quantum computer can bring down the whole of CBN but there are some crypto primitives that can resist the attack of a quantum computer which is called post quantum cryptography.
Right now all quantum computers should be locked away and the production and its distribution restricted. If Naija bad guys have access to it, Africa is doom!

BASE ON FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Pls note NOUN don't give conventional lecture, some I repeat some centres just do facilitation or tutorial.

Just get up and develop your personal reading ability or find that coursemate who you can gel and read together

Don't wait for the promise of materials try and get your materials by downloading from nouedu.net, or borrow from old students or get a place the print out is cheap and print out or print from your office, hardly will you get all materials from the school.

You don't have to pay before you start reading also read whether you understand or not don't worry you will be fine

Learn how to navigate the portal nouonline.net and nouedu.net you don't need to go to school all the time for all things

Also when you make transactions in your portal and you still have money or you have a negative balance don't panic you have not committed any crime just chill and watch

Anthonyo15:
GOOD MORNING ERUDITE COLLEAGUES OF MINE

The 2018_2 semester begins tomorrow which is on the 3rd of september, 2018.

Resuming this new semester is neither by our power nor might but by the grace of the Almighty for making it a success. May the Almighty provide us with all our needs and make this semester a peaceful and very successful one for us. AMEN.

As we resume this semester, we all know we might encounter so many obstacles to grapple with likewise having to perform a lot of tasks within a very short while. Here are some concepts on how to manage our time so we can achieve so much more with our limited quantity of available duration.

1. KILL NOTIFICATIONS
Modern technology has evolved to exploit our urgency addiction: Facebook, Twitter, BBM, Whatsapp and more will fight to distract you constantly. Choose to check these things only at your leisure and work through them together, saving time.

2. SCHEDULE YOUR PRIORITIES
Humans are such funny critters. If you have a friend to meet, you’ll arrange to see them at a set time. But if you have something that matters to you more than anything – say writing a book, or going to the gym – you won’t schedule it. You’ll just ‘get round to it’. Treat your highest priorities like flights you have to catch: give them a set time in advance and say no to anything that would stop you making your flight.

3. FIRST THINGS FIRST
What is the single? Most important (not urgent) thing you could possibly be doing? Do some of that today. Remember there’s a limitless number of distracting stormtroopers – don’t fool yourself by thinking “if I just do this thing first then I can”. *Great men and women don’t live by excuses*.

4. START A DIARY
This should not be too difficult, all you need is a good book and a pen. Every night before you go to sleep, you can take twenty or thirty minutes to jot down the day in summary. Your accomplishments, mistakes and feelings. It helps to put each day in perspective and start a new day just right. It also helps you to keep track of your progress and growth.

5. READ 2 HOURS DAILY
*NOTE*: It does not always have to be books related to your academics, although school books should take the bulk time. Just remember that you must read for two hours everyday. Depending on your attention span, you can spread it throughout the day, just make sure you keep to the goal. You will be amazed at how much you can achieve with such a goal.

6. LEARN A SKILL
Learn a skill, either related to your field of study or not. The internet is a wonderful resource in this aspect, there are millions of YouTube videos and PDF textbooks, you can download free of charge and use to get acquainted with the skill you wish to learn. Time, effort and practice will be required, but at the end of this semester you will become a better and more employable person.

7. DON'T MISS A LECTURE-(OPTIONAL)
This will likely be difficult, but it is a worthwhile goal, if you manage not to miss a lecture and take good notes, you will most likely do well in your exams at the end of the semester, the goal is very well worth it. Set it. Work towards it. Make sure you don't spend more time on frivolities.

May the goodness, favor, mercy and blessings of the Almighty follow us all as we embark on another great journey this semester. Amen.

Be Reminded!!!
