TV/Movies / You Can Pitch Your TV Shows And TV Documentaries To Nollywood Producers by Winstonoge(m): 10:15pm On Dec 17, 2017
All you need is a very good pilot. And you may be wondering what PILOT is.
Scripts for TV Comedy, Drama shows and TV documentaries are usually written in episodes. And the very first episode is called PILOT.

Writing a Pilot is like writing the first five pages of a feature film screenplay. And to write and present the best Pilot, you need to:
(1) Examine and Master the other episodes to know exactly what's going on (before you even write the Pilot, you should have developed the other episodes)
Read more here https://scriptsandpapers..com.ng/2017/12/how-to-write-tv-shows-and-tv.html to find out how you can develop your ideas into TV shows and then present the best pilot to film-makers.

Literature / To Turn Your Story/novel Into A Screenplay / About To Start Writing Your Script by Winstonoge(m): 7:32am On Dec 11, 2017
Before you turn your story or novel into a screenplay, you must first work on the story and make it screenplay-worthy.
You need to handle these points below.

(1) Decide on the length of the screenplay you wish to obtain.
The duration of a feature film depends on the number of pages of its screenplay. A page with courier font style, and font size twelve is equivalent to one minute of screen time. Sixty pages is equal to one hour. A normal feature film should be about ninety pages, that is one hour and thirty minutes of screen time.
The reason for this analysis is that not everything in your novel should be in the screenplay; you need to cut somethings out. Or the other way round, if your novel doesn't have enough content to make a feature film of one about hour thirty minutes, then you need to add more content to the screenplay.
In both cases, you can adjust (increase/decrease) the number of characters, actions, dialogues, scenes and props.
Sometimes this proves difficult as it's not easy to just eliminate some characters because it may affect the whole story and consequently may cause frustration to the writer. Anyway, a way out is to eliminate unimportant scenes, and then say what happened in the scenes through the dialogues. As the unimportant scenes are eliminated, some characters that appeared just only in those scenes are automatically deleted.
Again you need to choose the dialogues that pulsate with actions.

(2) Correct the Point of view
A screenplay is written in 3rd person point of view. This means you must adjust your novel if you wrote it in 1st person continue reading here https://scriptsandpapers..com.ng/2016/11/to-turn-your-storynovel-into-screenplay.html

TV/Movies / Script-writing For Nollywood: For All Upcoming Nollywood Movie Script-writers by Winstonoge(m): 11:42pm On Dec 10, 2017
Before you can sell a Nollywood screenplay, you have to take note of these below;

1 You need to have a body of work
One screenplay alone may not be enough to break into nollywood. Write more. Write up to three, four, five or more. Explore the entire 'soft' genres. It may be uneasy and burdensome, but you have to try.

2 You need to become a real script writer
What I mean here is that you need to be in script-writing. You need to develop the passion for it. Script-writing needs to be beyond your hobby. Just be determined to make it your source of living.
Screenplay has a lot of components and elements. A real script writer doesn't just write scripts he also studies explicitly those components and elements of screenplay. He goes to the extent of teaching others.
You need to take your time in writing your screenplays. You need to also give in huge effort.

3 Create a channel
Create an outlet. Every business or talent needs to be exported or advertised for consumers or audiences to know about it. Just try and create awareness.

TV/Movies / The Best And Fastest Way To Sell Your Movie Scripts To Nollywood Movie Producers by Winstonoge(m): 1:02pm On May 18, 2017
If you want to sell your Nollywood movie scripts to Nollywood filmmakers fast, then you must a write a "good treatment/review" for the script. See a sample of a script treatment here https://scriptsandpapers..com.ng/2017/05/you-want-to-sell-your-nollywood-movie.html

Filmmakers do not have time to read your full script. Reading a whole script is never easy and most Filmmakers feel reluctant to do that. So whenever you inform them you have a movie script for sale, they shy away from it. And this is the reason most people cannot sell their scripts.

So all you need is to write a review. See a sample here https://scriptsandpapers..com.ng/2017/05/you-want-to-sell-your-nollywood-movie.html

Just don't be afraid! It may not be easy for someone to copy the content in your script after they read your logline/synopsis/treatment.

Art is so dynamic, and even if anyone developed a story from your logline/synopsis/treatment, it can never be the same with what you have originally. Every art is very unique, and no two arts can ever be the same even if they were from same source.

Here are 8 reasons why drainage and plumbing systems in various homes in Nigeria go bad https://scriptsandpapers..com.ng/2017/01/here-are-8-reasons-why-drainage-and.html

Residents of various houses in Lagos, Abuja, Port harcourt, Owerri and other cities in Nigeria are often less concerned about what their drainage systems look like at every moment.
And knowingly or unknowingly, these residents contribute to the various issues they usually have with their plumbing systems through these 8 means:

1. They tackle plumbing problems themselves
Even when they don't know anything about plumbing, they still want to fix it themselves. This act may cause damage to the whole system and thereafter will cost more money to fix. Plumbing requires professional plumbers who are specialized in the plumbing system and the apparatuses used therein. There are very good plumbers in every city in Nigeria, and they are always available whenever you need them. Call now, We respond rapidly. +2348174018418, +2348038180098, scriptsandpapers@gmail.com

TV/Movies / Sell Your Nollywood Movie Scripts For Thousands Of $$$. Meet Movie Producers by Winstonoge(m): 3:29pm On Sep 20, 2016
There are certain steps a Nollywood Script-writer needs to take in order to sell his Nollywood movie scripts. One of them is;

Script review and synopsis
Write a brief review and synopsis of the script. Tell the producer what the content of the script is about. Tell him what to expect when he reads the script. Tell the producer what the script looks like. Write out the properties. A synopsis is simply a sketchy summary of the story in the screenplay.

Here are 7 tips to write a better movie synopsis

(1)Begin with the main conflict.
Begin with the reason for the movie. The main conflict in the movie is the reason why it's a movie. Every movie has the Protagonist and the Antagonist. The competition between these two yields the main conflict. The first thing a reader of a synopsis wants to see is the contention between the protagonist and the antagonist.

(2)Mention the causes of the conflict.
The next thing a reader wants to see is the reason for the conflict. ''Why is there this conflict?'', the reader would ask.

TV/Movies / Marketing Your Nollywood Movie?: How to make your Nollywood movie sell quick by Winstonoge(m): 12:52am On Jul 31, 2016
You need not use the A-list actors before your movie can sell. All you'll need is to 'package' the movie well, make it marketable, and it will sell.
Before your movie is released, after it has been produced, here are 11 (eleven) tips to help you market it and make huge sales.

(1)Write a short story, and use it to announce on social media of a possible movie-shoot based on that short story.
Your audience will sure read the short story; and this will make them imagine what the scenes and the characters in the short story would look like if they were to be seen on a tv screen; and I bet they will long to see the movie produced if it would be possible. And after you release the movie, they will love to grab a copy; that's because you have created the suspense already!

TV/Movies / Nollywood Scriptwriters: Who Nollwood Producers Should Hire To Write Their Movie by Winstonoge(m): 8:23pm On Feb 25, 2016
(1)Don't hire any writer who cannot write an action and dramatic movie without guns, swords, machetes, stunts, car chases, and physical fights.
A good writer should know that action packed movies should not always be a movie where two people are fighting with guns and swords. A movie can be filled with actions just from the dialogues of the characters.
There is what we call ''war of words''. A movie full of 'war of words' is not just one of the best action movies, but also a very mature movie. Just the dialogues alone are mightier than the guns. Nollywood movies are soft movies, but yet full of actions. So a Nollywood writer who can't afford to create an action screenplay without guns and stunts is not yet a Nollywood scriptwriter.
Dear producer, hire a writer who can write a dramatic and action movie without guns, swords, machetes, stunts, car chases, and physical fights.

(2)Don't hire any writer who can't provide realizable scenes and locations.
Getting normal locations for Nollywood movie shooting is not that easy let alone the elusive and imaginative ones. Nollywood writers should be real...please read more herehttp://scriptsandpapers..com.ng/2016/02/nollywood-scriptwriters-who-nollwood.html

TV/Movies / Nollywood Movies: Tips For Nollywood Stake Holders To Get Our Movies Right by Winstonoge(m): 8:05pm On Feb 25, 2016
Here are tips for Nollywood stake holders to get our Nollywood movies right

(1)We need to have our audience in mind more than our pockets.
When your aim of making your movie is to enrich your pocket, then you may lose focus on the most crucial aim of a movie which is to enrich the minds of the audience. Our audience is the reason for our movies, and when you make your movie for your audience, your audience will make the money for your pocket. Audience first! Satisfy your audience first and see them sing the name of your movie like a song. You'll also see them order for the copies as if they were on a shopping spree. The direct consumers of your movies are your audience and not your pockets. The consumption by the audience will put the money in your pockets.
Audiences are always right, and whatever destructive criticisms they make about your movie, they are right. It's true you can never satisfy everybody, but then you can block all chances of destructive criticisms by producing a movie born out of 'brainstorm'.

(2)We always need to be inspired.

TV/Movies / This Is The Cheapest Way Of Writing Screenplay by Winstonoge(m): 5:49pm On Feb 23, 2015
I always tell you that the cost of writing is very cheap compared to any other business.

The efficiency of a business will be high if and only if a small amount of intensive diligence on the business can produce an encouraging large returns and output.

Writing is cheap; especially screenwriting. Some screenwriting manuals or books may be too big and too costly to procure; and yet may not be detailed enough for the reader. Don't be discouraged by these books. They make you think the cost of screenwriting isn't cheap. I want you to be encouraged; I want you to always have it mind that screenwriting is easy and cheap too; screenwriting not stressful; it doesn't kill!

Screenwriting should be rudimentary; it has foundations.

Romance / 10 Tips On The Kind Of Partner That Will Make Your Marriage To Be Lovely by Winstonoge(m): 5:23pm On Feb 23, 2015
(1) Think about ''a partner that can make you stand out''

A partner whose physical appearance or internal behavior makes you stand out in the society is the best partner for you.

It's not easy to stand out from your mates, your rivals, your competitors, your enemies; it's not easy.

Once you are able to always stand out amongst your mates and rivals, they will always respect you as a great man. Apart from the respect, you will always have an internal confidence that will empower you to succeed more and more in every business of life.

The more you have the power to succeed, the more you love your partner whose outstanding appearance and behavior gave you that power. And the more you love this partner of yours, the more your married life gets lovely.

Think about a partner who can make you stand out. Examine and then find out that thing you need to stand out from your equals and rivals; and then look for a partner that has it. When you get a partner that has it, I doubt you would let that partner go.

(2) Think about ''a partner you can tolerate his/her ugly side''

Every individual has two sides, the good and the ugly sides.

The ugly side of an individual is that part of their behavior or appearance that does not please the people around them.

If you can tolerate the ugly side of your partner, then he or she is your perfect partner.

The major reason why marriages fail today is the inability of anyone to tolerate the flaws of their partners.

The lack of understanding that every individual has flaws no matter how good they may appear to be also adds to the reasons why marriages fail.

Once you understand your partner's misbehaviors and then have the ability to tolerate them, your marriage will keep moving smoothly and lovely.

(3) Think about ''a partner that can give you the kind of kids you'll wish to produce''

The more you love your kids, the more you love your partner; and consequently the more you'll love your marriage to your partner.

How lovely your kids are will determine how lovely your marriage will be.

When your kids are handsome, beautiful, good looking, intelligent, clever, smart and wonderful, you will tend to love and cherish your partner who helped you in getting those kids. The love for the kids and the love between the parents make the marriage get lovely.

Children in a family are the extension of joy and fulfillment to their parents especially when they are wonderful.

Offsprings are a reflection of their parents, and once these offsprings look good, the parents will tend to love themselves and each other more and more; this will make the marriage get lovelier.

Let the partner you want to marry be the type of kids you'll love to have.

Any kind of kids you wish to produce, look out for them in the person you'll want to make your partner.

Any type of kid you wish to have is the type of partner you'll have to marry.

The kind of kids one produces is equal to the kind of partner they get married to.

Offsprings are genetic replicates of their parents. If you need beautiful kids, you have to look out for a beautiful partner. If you need intelligent kids, you will also have to look out for an intelligent partner.

Your kids are as a result of you and your partner's physiological and morphological interaction.

Good looking kids make the parents look good too. And once a family is filled with good looking and wonderful children, the family itself and the marriage there in will look lovely.

(4) Think about ''a partner that has common aims and goals with you''

It's very lovely to have a partner who you have in common some reasoning, ideas and lifestyle, aims and objectives.

This creates team work which consequently fosters togetherness and loveliness. It will make your marriage get lovely because both of you will always be involved in common wholesome thoughts and actions geared at a common objective.

Another reason why marriages break up today is because of the emergence of a situation where each of the partners involved get filled with thoughts and views that are different from that of the other partner. Once this situation arises, there will no longer be uniformity of the heart. Marriage is a thing of the heart.

So, the more you stay together, have one mind, think and work towards a common goal; the more lovely your marriage will get.

(5)Think about ''a partner that can help you fulfill your destiny''

When you marry a partner that will help you achieve your goal in life, I don't think you'll let that partner go.

You'll tend to love her more and more. This helps your marriage to her to get lovely.

Any factor that facilitates your reach to your destiny, no doubt is your best factor in life.

Any partner that helps you fulfill your destiny is the best partner for your marriage.

(6) Think about ''a partner whose partnership with you is more of business and romance''

Being in business is one of the best things of life.

Being in romance with a partner is also one of the best things of life.

Both business and romance in marriage is very important - when romance fades, business fuels it up; and when business fades, romance fuels it up.

Business in a marriage is when both partners have a steady career, a firm source of income, a commitment, a responsibility, a business minded heart.

Romance in a marriage is when both partners have optimum love for each other; when they always feel, touch, caress and hunger for each other.

Both business and romance are the key ingredients that spice up marriage.

If your marriage with your partner is filled with business and romance, it will get lovely. Both of you will tend to always love each other.

(7) Think about ''a partner that has what turns you on the most''

Love is simply the attraction to someone who has what you need. As long as the person has what you need, you will always love and cherish them.

When your partner has what turns you on, it will be hard to forget him/her. You will always love to stick with him/her. This will make your marriage to him/her get lovely.

Now, on your own part, you need to sincerely find out what turns you on the most; then look for a partner that has it.

(cool Think about ''a partner who is a husband/wife material''

We have a 'husband material'; a 'wife material' (funny expressions); but, they are real. A husband material is a man that has many qualities of a good husband. A wife material is a woman that has many qualities of a good wife.

What are those qualities? You need to find out and then look for partner that has them.

Once the qualities are in place in a marriage, the marriage will get lovely.

(9) Think about ''a partner that always looks good, even in default conditions''

Default condition is a situation when one exhibits their natural behavior when unchallenged, when not under reflex, or when not with a purpose.

Ladies often look good and beautiful when they wear 'make up'; but naturally, without the 'make up' will they look beautiful?

Men often appear gentle when in midst of ladies; but naturally, are they gentle?

These are the things you need to find out about a partner before you marry them.

Look out for a partner that has a good lifestyle in default conditions. Partners that pretend to look good just for a purpose is not the right partner for marriage.

Men, take note:

You can find the best shaped girl when she is in a cooperate outfit.

You can find the most naturally beautiful girl just before she is about to take her morning bath; i.e. after her morning chores, or before make up.

For a fair in complexion girls, you can find a truly fair girl when she is putting on a dull colored cloth; or after she has stood under the sun for a long time.

(10) Think about ''a partner that can be your friend''

Two good intimate friends are better than a married plain 'non-lovely' couple.

Friendship is simply an understanding between partners. Friendship is a proof that both partners are easily merged together, with no strings attached.

Friendship reduces differences.

You have to get a partner that can be your friend. Friendship will help both of you to understand your differences and then harmonize them. It will also make you feel free to relate with your partner anyhow you wish. This relationship will help to build confidence and trust; and consequently, it makes marriage get lovely.
