90'c is the world average opening for a car thermo whether in alaska, dubai, brazil etc , thats just above the engine operating temperature

60 or 70 your car will be raining on cold and it will burn more fuel and also you might not find 60 or 70 you are looking for

Thanks bro for your kind response. My car occasionally detonates on mild acceleration especially during hot weather at operating temperature of 90'c. I feel if I use thermostat of 60'c-75'c, it will eliminate it. I've done scan and no fault detected. Someone told me to check the EGR valve but i have no idea of it.
Any alternative solution will be appreciated

i am using camry 2002 4cyl engine. I want to change d themostat(rating 90'c) it came with from canada to a colder thermostat of rating stated above because of the hot weather.

Pls can someone refer me to a place where I can buy a thermostat of rating 60'c- 70'c in lagos or any part of Nigeria? It is very scarce in Abeokuta. Does it mean the demand for thermostat is very low?

Another term for pinging is pre-ignition or detonation sound. This is for clearer understanding.

Please help me resolve this issue. My car pings on mild acceleration. No overheating problem. I buy fuel at NNPC stations and do 2 monthly servicing. could it be faulty egr valve and where can i locate it for inspection? my mechanic is suspecting head gasket. pls help before they will start dismantling the engine for gasket change. Note no sign of overheating

I knew something must have gone terribly wrong. IMO, May D was a bit over ambitious. A new born babe is supposed to crawl,then stand, walk and finaly strong enough to run. These stages are important in development. May D was not patient to acquire all the necessary skills required to go far in d music industry which is highly competitive. Rome wasnt built in day. So,it takes patience & humility to achieve success in life.

Some people are very funny. They are always looking for ways to criticise anything by psquare. To some, it's not a club song and to others, peter's role isn't too good. SMH.

Africa will continue to move backward cos of tribalism, blackmail, jealousy and evil practice. No wonder d saying that a prophet has no honor in his village. While foreigners are appreciatng d effort of psquare,some Nigerians are busy calling them murderers and other derogatory names. The truth is d more d opposition, d better they become. Be prepared to burn in jealousy cos they are going to do more exploits in 2013.

@akikanju, i dont think awards are d only template. Other parameters I mentioned are equally important. Winning awards does not mean the recipient performs better than other artists.
