RVP To Manchester United: Who Is The Greatest Beneficiary? by tunapawizzy: 11:40am On Aug 16, 2012
A lot has been said about Robin Van Persie's move from arsenalFC to a rival club manchester united which is still subject to the player passing a medical examination (i wonder if any player has ever failed pre-transfer medicals). One thing is certain, all the parties involved must have critically analyzed and assumed that the move will be of benefit to them. How do u see the deal, who appears to be the loser, who appears to be the greatest beneficiary. is it arsenal, manchester united or robin van persie himself?
My thoughts: To be frank getting bucks in d neighbourhood of 25m pounds for a 29yrs old is enough consolation for Arsenal. Giroud should make at least a decent striker-15epl goals shouldn't be a mountain too high for him to climb. the key to arsenal's success in 2012/2013 would be holding on to Alex Song. For ManUtd, great move. strengthening ur squad while u weaken an opposition(killing 2 birds with a stone) , i just hope fergie realizes dat 30goals magic from their new bride is not feasible. For RVP, since 2004, dis is d closest he has ever gotten to winning a trophy(not talking emirates cup). he should expect less playing time but certainly more success.
