Like the topic reads, customers using Opera mini can no longer surf the internet with that browser for reason known to them. This hit me in the face this evening as I wanted to log into NL from my phone but my Opera was not connecting. I thought it was a network error but discovered that my other applications were working fine. I pulled out my sim card and inserted my MTN and the opera worked.
Pissed, I called their customer service and was told that I can not browse with Opera as long as I was on Airtel's network as they have cut it off.
Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

I jst experienced d same problem... I even tout it was a network problem cos i was using it few hours ago only for it to stop browsing about an hour ago.. Hmmm wat is their reason for doin dis na?

I don't know what their reason s and I am hoping someone would tell me. I was informed of this some time last year but thought it was a joke or something

Hope they dont block the use of opera mini. It wil alienate most users of their internet bundles. It may be network problem.

Airtel network is awhoof. Mtn plus BIS all the way.

I don't think it's fair for someone to just label another as a 'liar' without proper investigation and research into the issue at hand. What the OP said is right. My opera mini has refused to connect via my airtel network since 7pm but my other applications and phone web is working normal. Am presently sending this via Opera Mini but from an MTN line. Thanks.

I was also surprised ohh,tot I had changed some settinz mistakenly, I even uninstalled some other networkcontrolling appz sef,but still no luck wit d opera mini, though ma opera mobile is workin, play store,dolphin browser n all others r workin perfectly
I guess dis is bad news cos dat opera has a way of savin u som data especially android users like moi

Out of the 4 operating networks in Nigeria , look for the network that has 3G in ur area/Vicinity. Cuz browsing on Edge and Gprs on P.C Sucks!!!
then buy the moderm and start surfing the net, for me, my mtn moderm is using all the 4 sim cards so you can break ur sim if it's not broken, so yu can use all D networks, like me and odas { i can help wif dat i.e if interested ] Am currntly using Aitel for now!!! buh D fasts is Etisalat i.e in full service!!! hope is helpful.

I was really browsing with my operamini on AIRTEL this evening when the whole thing started. Then I was thinking... is it that operamini has stopped their service just like bolt did.... ucbrowser was going and other applications, except opera. na dem sabi their wahala shaa. OP is right.
