It could have happened to anybody in this sense is not painting this sa picture.....the whole story is about the breach of trust. Can't count the number of ladies that I've met in chat rooms hat have been over to my place...& the number of friends that I met on  & fb.
This is what we all do on a daily basis & throwing stones won't help when we all live in glass houses.
Her travelling to Lagos to hook up with a guy for fun(if that's what it was all about) isn't the strange part to me, we all do it everyday. The strange part is the part where someone lures you over so that he can do away with person. Now that's a whole new dimension to the whole story.

Slim101: I honetly believe the 'business' line was a hoax probably intended by the parents (or whoever) to save face. Realisticaly, who would travel from Kaduna (or where she's from) to Lagos to be lodged by his or her business partners just to buy 'clothes'? This is not a mega business venture and anyone could have travelled because of 'buying and selling' business but a rational mind wouldn't agree to be lodged into an hotel by her clients (especially in a city like Lagos). A rational thing to do is to get into Lag, lodge into an hotel and call the clients (especially guys u've never met before) to meet u @ a public place to seal the deal. What d hec.k are they doing in her roon??!! Asides, this guys (according to d story) reside in Festac, is it neccessary she also books an hotel @ Festac??!I doubt the 'business' story and I strongly think she was there to socialise. I feel sorry for her though and I feel the pains her family would be going through now. This 'Cynthia' issue shd open a vista in d minds of everybody (especially the younger females). DON'T GET CARRIED AWAY WITH THE HIGH-LIFE!! I have a younger sis too in d Uni whom I've been lecturing before this episode and it just butressed my point. Just my piece of mind.

Stupid Fool. She was born and raised in Jos, spoke Hausa fluently, even better than some Northerners, went to university in Nassarawa state which was part of former Plateau. She had a Boutique in Keffi, near the University in Keffi which opened 5 years ago, in 2007.
What you fool do not know is that if you have a business in the North, Jos or Keffi Nasarrawa state, you have to travel all the time to Lagos to buy your stock. How do you get to Lagos from Keffi? You go to Abuja first, about 60Km away. Cynthia had made the journey to Lagos a countless number of times and this her last fatal trip, in which she was murdered, was like any other trip. The only difference was that the murderers had tricked her that they were in the same business with her and she should give them a chance and purchase from them at least once. I am not sure if you know much about business, but I am also a businessman who deals in computers in Jos, Plateau and I travel to Lagos regularly to the computer village in Ikeja to make my purchases. I have made a lot of business contacts online without meeting them and talked with them regularly, and I have traveled to Lagos many times to see some of them. I have even come across some few that were obviously 419 but because I have experience in the computer business and the prices of computer items are not as flexible as say, fashion and clothing, I usually know the 419 by the very low prices they quote. Some 419 have quoted Laptops for half the price. My fears for visiting those guys in Lagos is not because I will be drugged and raped, after all I am a man and very strong, but that those guys could be selling refurbished or even fakes. So i avoid them like plague. But if you are in business in the North, you have to travel to Lagos all the time to make your purchases. If you feel you are a modern person, you might even start the initial contacts online. The sad thing for Cynthia was that she could not distinguish the fake from the genuine people.
What I hate to see is that many Nigerians have taken what the Murderers have said as gospel truth (no wonder our politicians easily deceive us to vote them forever). Because Cynthia is not with us to tell her story, what we have are just what the killers have narrated and many people choose to believe them despite the fact that more reasonable explanations exist. The Murderers are people who specialise in lies and cheating and deceiving people and yet Some Nigerians choose to believe every word they have uttered in spite of what Cynthia's friends and relations say. The Killers claim they paid her plane ticket and have refrained from mentioning how they did that and many chose to believe them. It costs more than 30K to fly from Abuja to Lagos and we know the very last thing that 419 will do is give money to their victims. 419 do not give out money but steal it from their victims. Besides, which airline was it that they bought the ticket from? Information emerging now said there was no deposits in Cynthia's bank account any time this year from any unknown person. The Killers lied that they were university students, and sad to say, many Nigerians, including the press at first believed them, but thank God, the 2 universities in question went through their records and proved that the murderers are liars. The Killers claimed the girl came to the hotel room with a Viberator, but where is it? Worst of all, these 419, in one particular interview with the press, denied killing the girl; they claimed that they did not ravaged and raped her for a whole 12 hours, they only used condoms and viberator on her, she was still alive and they left her bumbling with life, but gagged and tied in the hotel room, so they were not responsible for her death...thank God no Nigerian have so far, apart from their defense lawyer, said they believe this story.
I am sorry for those guys like Slim01 who choose to believe every word that the 419, lying murderers mentioned, and believe that Cynthia, who could have had any guy she wanted in the world, would travel to Lagos and lodge in a hotel simply because she wanted romance with some faceless ugly monsters. The evidence out there says for sure that she traveled to Lagos to purchase stocks, as she had done a countless time in the past. Her biggest mistake in this Life was to give a business chance to some people who she thought was in the same business with her and patronise and become their customers.
Despite her beauty, despite her tall elegant stature, it turned out she was not sophisticated enough. Possibly because all her life she had lived a sheltered and controlled life, she did not understand the wicked ways of the world and could not just distinguish the genuine businessmen from the 419. But then at the young tender age of 24 years I would not blame her for being so naive. When I was at that age I made even bigger mistakes than she did, but I am still alive. May God grant her Family and friends the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
And May her soul Rest in eternal Peace!

Honestly, even if Cynthia was an Aristo, does dat justify killing her? What those guys did was absolutley nefarious. I won't condemn cynthia even though she might be an Aristo cos I'm not exactly holier except for the grace of God. RIP
