A USA based media outfit just reported that contrary to Bola Tinubu's claim that he was invited by Obama for the Democratic Party Convention, that he paid $5000 to obtain a generic invitation. The invitation was given to everyone who donated more than $5,000 to the Obama campaign the source disclosed. The media outfit had this to say about Tinubu:

If the OP's story is true then Tinubu's PR folks need to be fired. But I blame Tinubu for allowing his people to put out the information which indicated that he, Tinubu, was a special guest the convention, rather than, being invited generically because of campaign contributions.
