Multiple >4 echoperic masses are noted in the uterus
- masses 1 (29mm * 32mm) and 2(25 mm by 22mm) are located in the mid and upper anteriorvrespectively.
-mases 3 (22by 20mm) and 4 (23 by 21mm) are located on the posterior uterine wall.

Endometrine is distorted in outline.
Adnexea: nothing remarkable.
Cul-de-sac: free
IMPRESSION: Uterine Fibroid
HSG is adviced.

i'm new on this forum, but i think you guys are doing a great job. got married last year and had a miscarriage in August. Had to go for evacuation and since then i've been trying to get pregnant. went for a scan this week and the results were:

Uterus: 40mm AV - Normal
             52mm TS - Normal
             84mm LS - Normal

Endometrium: 2mm

                                                  Vol
Ovaries: R-33*23*22mm           8.6cc
              L -23*21*40mm          10.0cc

Overall Comment - Normal

What can u deduce from the result? Do give suggestions/advice on what to do to become pregnant.

Thanks for your below and urgent response. Doc, i did not said tht PID was diagnosed on an untrasound rather on pelvic scan that i had. I want to know whether the PID will effect my reproductive organ.

The last time i went for the pelvic scan before this present one i had, i was also diagnosed with PID and i went to do culture to determine the type of infection, and the result reads, candidiases and echoli infection. So i believe this present PID may still be that i have not treated the infection very well. Or is there any other test you can recomend i undergo to detect the nature of the PID and possibly whether it has effected my reproductive organ cos i have to feel hurt in the waist and in my tommy too.

I don't know how else to say this but PID can NOT be diagnosed on an ultrasound. A 12 mm fibroid will not affect your fertility

Am still on this fibroid issue and my inability to conceive yet. I was refered to another gynae for a second opinion on the fibroid. I showed him the result of the last scan and he also examined me. Thereafter he said the fibroids are big and he would advise me to remove it. He said since i have done hsg and the tubes are okay, I would stand a higher chance of conceiving if i remove it and quickly. Am in Lagos, Nigeria. I was just wondering if you know any other procedure that can be done to remove it and I wouldnt have to wait that long before trying to conceive again. I read something on the net about laser method (cant remember the full name) but I doubt if such technology is in Nigeria. Besides the cost of the surgery is rather expensive from what the doctor told me (he said betwen N200,00 - N250,000). Thanks

there are certain conditions affecting the thyroid that can have been associated with 1st trimester miscarriages. It is easily treated with thyroid hormone supplementation

Be patient. I agree with your sister in taking a pregnancy test if you don't have a period in 2 weeks. However, since you were breastfeeding, your cycle might be off and the last "period" might have been from an anovulatory cycle. Keep me posted.

Your cycle is based on ovulation. Without ovulation, it is impossible to calculate your cycle. The size of your ovaries are incredibly small and with your fsh being so high, I agree with your doctor. This being said, it is unusual but not unheard of for someone so young to suffer from premature ovarian failure. I would suggest going to a fertility specialist as soon as possible. Please let me know what happens

In that case, no need to worry. A yeast infection can cause a thick itchy discharge. As for determining ovulation, I would suggest buying an ovulation kit

Sounds like you have fibroids. This could be the reason for your irregular bleeding. What hormonal imbalance? As for the hsg, it is only useful if you are trying to get pregnant or have never had one in the past

Hello Doc, Pls i really need to confir, this issue.
My girl friend's period was so late that she was adviced to see a gyn, And after asking her some few questions, he took her in for examination. this guy asked my girl to pull off her top and blouse while he went out, he came back and said she should pull off everything and she reluctantly did. And he put his stupid gloved 2 fingers inside by sweet hearts Pussy. When i head this i was mad and almost breaking up with my girl cos she dint tell me before pulling off.
I need to know, was it right to just ask her to go in and UnCloth without telling her he wud put his finger inside of her? or maybe she wud have any issue with the examination, ?

So sorry to hear this. Sometimes, especially after trauma such as a 3rd degree laceration, the nerves don't reconnect as they should. I don't think it is an issue of being too tight as you have delivered twice since then. Are you in Nigeria?

pelvic scan or ultrasound, same thing. Not an acceptable way to determine PID. As for the candida (yeast) and ecoli, it should not affect your ability to get pregnant

You don't have to wait for a year. Many of the less invasive options can compromise blood flow to the ovaries which can cause infertility. It is a very tough decision you are about to make.

He is a gynecologist.  A gyn exam can not be done remotely i.e. from far away.  If you or your girlfriend  had a problem with a male gyn, I would suggest a female for her next visit.  Unless he forced your girlfriend physically, I see no wrongdoing here.

@ kathy, thanks doc. So what is d next step. The gyn said 2.9cm fibroid is not an issue for now . All i should do is hav regular intercourse and see how it goes wit gettin pregnant. Am going back to the gym to loose some weight and then use some fertility blends. I pray God helps me.

@ uteh, a friend of mine works @ fmc abeokuta and she says its cost about 50 to 70k for fibroid removal. Also she said they are not good with laser in nigeria , a lady that did laser @ ibadan teachin hospital still came back to do normal operation. I advice u use federal medical center like railway hospital in lagos. They are good but time consumin, u get about 4 specialist opinion b4 they eventually do it if u hav to.

*Non gravid uterus with an intra uterine mass (fibriod of dimension 9.6cm*7.8cm).There are other subserous fibriod with dimensions 1.0cm*1.3cm respectively.
*nil adnexal mass
*nil cyesis
*Bladder walls are smooth, no stones or polyps
*ovaries are well appreciated show normal echo.
